Her eyes gleamed with pleasure. "I'll catch a bigger one!" She automatically remarks; although she honestly has no idea how to go about catching fish, nor even how to eat one should she manage to catch it. "Doesn't look like there are any here, though," She adds, after a quick inspection of the river nearest the falls. "Maybe they're scared away by all the noise." She wrinkles her nose at the rushing water, then brightens. "But we c'n move downstream, I'll bet there are plenty down there."

One ear twitches, automatically, towards sound; and, just as automatically, Ciyari's head turns, to spot a bird dashing up and into the rock face. Odd. There's another. Maybe they disturbed a nesting place...she rubs her eyes with a paw, and when her gaze shifts back downwards, she finds that the odd cavern 'door' has swung open again; and that there is someone standing there. For one muddled moment, she thinks he's Hodari; but, no, Hodari is right beside her. Besides, this boy has blue eyes, not her friend's brillient red. She goggles for a moment, staring. He's got weird designs on his fur....

"Whoever are you?"

::Hodari had given the girl a quick glance before following her gaze. Those eyes of his resting upon this stranger. His ears twitched a little, lowering along with his tail.. Where had he come from? Who was he?:: "H......Hello there.." ::He cleared his throat, rasing his head up, ears perking foward. His tail still remained lowered, barely swaying around..::

Who's he talking to? Ciyari's brow furrows as the unknown male calls back to someone behind him. So then she wasn't hearing things, was she? They had been there all along, and she hadn't known it...how long has he been here, anyways? Has he been living here? Did he just get here? A million questions swarm through the gray female's head.

Mistweaver? Who are they? But Ciyari immediately takes things into her own paws, standing straight and confident. "I," She announces, with a touch of royal haughtiness, "...am Ciyari, Queen of the RiverStar pride. And this is my squire, Hodari," She says, indicating her companion with more than a touch of pride. She looks suspicious at the last question, tail tipping against her ankles. However, he's no adult; she doesn't have to lie, as much as she'd like to. "We're the only two left of our pride," She announces, grandly. "Pleased to meet you..." She seems to have trouble thinking of a title, so she elevates him to knighthood. "...Sir Maji."

::Hodari bowed his head slightly, lifting it back up to gaze towards Maji. Mistweaver? He had grown incredibly silent, his eyes simpley staring at the other cub in wonder...::His ears flicked a little as he shifted, looking back at the water he had been staring at before..::

Ciyari spares only the swiftest of glances towards her red-eyed friend, before looking back to Maji. Fascinated - and rather charmed - by his fastidious, kindly mannerisms, she puts on her own best, coming to smart, easy attention, head held gracefully, but not condescendingly. Pleased, she inclines her head to him, dipping it into a silent, but friendly nod.

His home? Crap, it's already taken - but this only lets her give the faintest of brow-furrows. "Ah - I had no idea it was. We've not seen hide nor hair of any beast besides ourselves, and a few spot-cats." And a few annoying birds, but she doesn't think these are important enough to mention. Her mind whizzes ahead at his words. "So your pride was the one who did the patterns?" There's a hint of excitement in her voice, and she almost loses her dignified poise. At the next, she regains it, but in a startled manner. "We...do? You mean, there's more than one area with the markings?" Now Ciyari's hooked; she won't rest until she's seen for herself.

::Hodari clawed at the ground, placing a paw in the water, lowering his head to place it within the cool liquid. His tail beat against the ground a couple of times....::The cub lifted his head, taking in a deep breath.::"Like... the markings on the wall?" " ::He asked, giving Maji a look of curiosity.....::

"I know," Ciyari says, trying to keep the bite of impatience from her voice. "We've seen some of 'em. But we couldn't make head nor tail of 'em. They were just...drawings." She never thought that they might've been attempting to tell a story. The night wind picks up, toying with her headfur.

Another glance at Hodari. "We'd like to see these markings, if you wouldn't mind. And," she adds, grandly, "...if it's alright with you, perhaps stay in these lands for awhile. You're the only one here...?" The querry is evident in her voice and her gaze as it shifts back to teh cavern entrance, where Maji had previously called back to...someone.

::His eyes lay rest upon what the other had drawn in the dirt... A solemn look befalling him. This look was nothing like the one he had had on his face in the cave.. It was a look of true seriousness.... Hodari appered to be lost in thought, eyes resting on the drawing still...::
::He was silent, head lowering to get a better look at the ground.....::

(( One last post before I have to zoom off to bed xx))

::He had shifted his focus onto Ciyari, turning around and starting to walk away from the two of them aftrer giving her a look.:: "I'm gonna go and see about those fish...."::He cleared his throat, starting to trot a little.::He broke into a run shortly after, tail flicking about behind him as he went along. What had gotten into him?::

Ciyari gifts him with a slightly sardonic look, as if she weren't really certain of what she were hearing. So used to being scorned or disregarded, Maji's eagerness in offering to share his home is immediately suspect. But, then again, he is not an adult; he is still a child, and therefore, he can still be trusted. Especially if he's alone out here. It finally dawns on the gray-pelted female that perhaps, just perhaps, he's lonely from his stay out here.

The dubious look slowly fades, and she grins cheekily at him; but there's a hint of challenge in that gaze, too. "Sounds great!" She announces, to both boys. "We'd love to accept." She doesn't say anything to Hodari, directly; he seems too engrossed in the drawing. It fascinates her, too, but to a lesser degree. She's too attuned to the here-and-now to be too amazed by drawings by someone probably dead who probably never saw her.
