I nver really liked the banshees... I don't even use any inb my Biel-Tan army... I'm more Dire Avengers, Scorpions, and Dragons with other stuff (wraiths) for back up.

Yeah, I've never much liked them either. I've never actually used scorpions, but I've always meant to get some. They're not half bad, but with the new codex, that might or might not last.

I never found scorpions all that useful. They looked great in the codex, but maybe it was my own inexperience with assault units as opposed to just shooting, and of course my usualy dice rolls.

The thing with the Shrieking Bitches and the Green Bugboys is that one has power weapons and the other has heavier armour. Now, most gits prefer the power weapon toting she-harlots, as they can fleet-of-foot while they are at it. Scorpions on the other hands, ehhh, not too much xp with those as people tend to pass up on them seeing as they lack power weapons.
HOWEVER! If say, the Tau were to get such an option like the Striking Scorpions, it would be used to death.

3rd Edition Banshees look WAY better than the new ones... I must get a squad of 3rd ed. before they stop selling them.
New dark reaper Exarch looks KING even though the individual warriors look like crap with their ******** rectangle helmets.
New Fire Dragons and Striking scorpions look excellent. Oh and for whomever said that the strikings scorps where in uninteresting positions, maybe they will create some direct services scorps being all martial. ninja
If you wanted to make an Eldar CC heavy army you might want both scorpions AND banshees.
Accompanied by storm guardians with some barrage weapons in back.
Oh and yea why would crystal targetting matrix go bye bye?

Nono, he's right, except about the position of the swords. Second Edition "Ready to Kill" Striking ScorpionsThird Edition "Squatting to Crap" Striking ScorpionsI had totally forgotten they even got a makeover back then.
