I can't remember if Kisame mentioned anything about that.
Oh, and I finally found a nice, scanlated chapter to read. ( MH seems to be so slow lately... ) I think, if it's correct, that I understand.
I also made a bit of a hypothisis...
First, what I understand, from this translation that I read, AL ( I prefer to call him AL because it's shorter, and I like it better than Pain/Pein ) IS the leader, and rather, there is someone there 'guiding' him, whos face we do not know.
And then my hypothisis.
Manda isn't summoned with chakra ( Is he? I don't remember anything that said all summons had to be moved with chakra ). I think, that tattoo on Sasuke's arm has something to do with it.
Recall the Sanin battle, after Orochimaru 'lost' his arms, and Kabuto had to call Manda forth using his tattoo. Now, not to think badly of Kabuto's abilities, but would he really able to summon Manda? ( seeing as Orochimaru's chakra was sealed so we know he couldn't ) Now that I think about it, was not Kabuto almost out of chakra as well? If not completely drained?
Also, about the time-space ninjutsu... now, this could just be me, but I've always thought the summons lived in some other space, seperate from the Naruto world. So, after summoning him and casting genjutsu Sasuke could just send Manda back there, and they'd be safe ( Well... Sasuke would be safe ).
Then, Suigetsu could summon him back again... or something.
I donno, maybe some people have already thought about this, I'm just throwing stuff out in an attempt to make more sense of everything. Since lately Kishimoto doesn't seem to like explaining every detail. Which can be a good thing. ^^;;

I don't get the chapter. Really.
I don't understand the genjutsu thing. For the first time in a long time, I can't understand a thing they're saying. Anyone try to explain?
What I really am happy about is the way Itachi looked kind of concerned that his brother "died." Coolie cool. And I'm particularly happy about the way Tobi was described.
I really do hope that Tobi didn't die.
Aside from that, I think that AL's boss might be... just MIGHT be... Uchiha Madara. I know, it sounds lame (which is why I really don't like predicting) but there's not much point in the Kyuubi mentioning him if he's not appearing one way or the other.
Looks like Naruto and the others have seen what's been happening, though. It's only a matter of time till we have another Team 7 reunion. Looks like it's going to be brief, though. I was so fervently hoping that Sakura would be the first to notice Sasuke injured, but it just had to be Suigetsu. Oh well, at least I get to see his face again. And Juugo's and Karin's, too.
"You shouldn't treat animals like that." HOMG, that got me squealing over Suigetsu.
Oh, and about the summoning thing, Jiraiya did say that summoning needed a certain amount of chakra to be concentrated, when he was training Naruto. So I'm guessing that's a plothole there, or we haven't been told something.

MooMoo, I think I agree with you on the space thing-- I thought the summons are kind of like beast gods who live int their little godly... homes XD Kind of like to counteract the tailed beast demons, you know? So I at least agree with you on that point D:
I know the tatoo has somethign to do with summoning Manda, but I find it hard to believe that it didn't have anythign to do with chakra. For all we know Sasuke keeps reserves of chakra specifically to use the Sharingan and he just has to call it forth when he really needs it-- and can't you die if you use up ALL your chakra?
Deidara obviously had some chakra left in him if he could do that major explosion.
I don't know. XD But I think it's a plausible idea.
As for leader's leader being Uchiha Madara, I don't know.
I think it's Kabuto XDD
I know everyone's like "WTF?" but wouldn't that just be the kick to the bucket? Kabuto was spying on Orochimaru for Akatsuki (how they found out he was killed by Sasuke, and kept tabs on Sasuke's Sharingan), Then he had all that information on Akatsuki to give to Naruto, plus he was the "informant" or whatever on the bridge right before the reunion-- wouldn't that just be crazy?
Kabuto, who betrayed Team 7, was loyal to Orochimaru, was actually betraying Orochimaru and keeping tabs on Sasuke's Sharingan (from the start of the series, even) for Akatsuki, and controls Leader.
That would be NUTS. And it really fits his character, which is hilarious XD

And you would need chakra, wouldn't you? To actually transport the creature there = We know you need a payment of blood, but since its a jutsu it should involve chakra.

Kabuto just seems like a good one-- and if we got any more new character, we'd be ending Part 2 and start a Part 3. Not that I would mind at all, as long as Part 2 ended with Sasuke back in Konoha D:

I can see it happening. *nods* Well, Manda doesn't need the sacrifices right there when he's summoned, I don't even know if he actually needs them, but he does ask for them. ( Which is why Sasuke had to cast genjutsu on him, to make him do what he wanted without any complaints. Since, in the situation he was in, he most deffinately didn't need Manda running away because he had to work for nothing. ) So maybe his summoning terms are different from that of Gamabunta's or something, I donno, I'm just thinking there's possibly some other trick to summoning Manda. Or maybe, Sasuke is the trick. He sure does seem to have alot of his suprises up his sleeves after the time-skip. Sometimes I can't tell if Kishimoto is purposely keeping it a secret, or if he just forgot to tell. >>; I donno, is there ever any data about the summons in any of the data books? *goes to look on wiki*Edit: That would be a no.

He may be a d**k at times, but I think he's just looking out for the villages safety. Then again, now that I say that, he was the one who wanted Sasuke dead... I think. If I remember right. *forgets about what Sai said was fake and real* Although, I got the impression Shadow wanted Sasuke's power. Danzou wouldn't do that, would he? ( Of course, when it comes to having no emotions, Sasuke has it down perfectly. >> )
