"Well yeah, of course we're good at this. We do this whenever we can!" Cal took another turn, correctly identifying the substance--cork--and taking another potted plant as her prize. The fluffbugs swarmed over her plants so far, but they seemed not to be harming the plants. They did seem to be attracting more bugs, though. Yet another one landed on top of them as she watched!
"Yeah, every time you show up, so do we!" Eidil made a guess--a correct one--and earned a pair of earrings. "We haven't seen you recently though."
"Yeah," the Chimera said. She smiled. "I've been offered a job."
"Really? Oh wow, congratulations! Where?"
"Um, it's a teaching job? At a school. Teaching science to all ages! So, um, yeah, that's pretty exciting," the Chimera said. "I'm super stoked about it. I love teaching people things. Not gonna lie, I'm going to miss my job at the museum, though."
The festival seemed to be winding down--at least to Zalir's eyes. "I think I'm about ready to leave," zey said after zeir last toss (zey won more candy canes). "I'm, um, sort of tired. It's been nice meeting you, Anchriesel." Zey gave the extremely nice Imp a smile and a wave, and gathered up zeir belongings. "Happy Solstice, Anchriesel. And thank you--for talking to me. And encouraging me."
Once backstage, Jurvik started organizing their trinkets and toys. It was going to be a lot to get home tonight...good thing they were being taken home in Flash's van. Speaking of Flash--
"Hey, Jurvik, think fast!" Something cold hit him in the back of his head.
He turned to glare at his fellow Geist. "Fake snowballs!" she said. "Want some?"
Jurvik narrowed his eyes. "Yes. Yes, I do. Fork 'em over." Flash pointed him to a stack of buckets in the corner. He took a red one and started lobbing balls at his friend.
Xeno rolled his eyes at his father and smiled. Flash was the youngest of their band--or maybe she just acted like it. It was hard toe tell. Xeno looked around and saw a box of trinkets. He looked it over. "Hey, Flash, what's up with these?"
"Dunno," the musician said. "The organizers said they were free to whoever of the band's party wanted them." She grinned at him. "Go on, kiddo. You're with the band!"
Xeno took a globe that depicted the school. It was very pretty.
Quilo wandered back over to the book stacks. He'd been thinking about it, and, yes, definitely--he needed more books. This time he took a slightly less thick, but still thick, novel called "The Halfling." What was a halfling, anyway?
Talya was about done. She had more or less everything she wanted. She could hold out for more stuffed animals, like the large ones, but... Honestly, she wanted to nurse her eye in private. She looked through the box of rejected trinkets and picked up a random book. "I'm going back to my dorm," she told her new friends. Most of them had left, but... "I hope to see you all later."
Lillian picked up a stuffed fox and a blue bracelet and nodded. "Yeah. You too, Talya! Take care of yourself, okay?"
Evelyn left the frenzy for a moment to get a mug, and by the time she came back, most of them had left. She sighed. "I guess I should go back to my parent now. I hope it's not five o'clock already."
Lillian shook her head. "I don't think it is. But it was nice meeting you, Evelyn."
Evelyn smiled. "You too, Lillian. I hope I see you around!"
Guereda was themselves losing track of the time by the time Evelyn got back, but it was only about a quarter past four. They smiled at their daughter, laden down with more plushies. Good--no repeats! "Did you have fun, Evey?" They surreptitiously hid another book in their stack. They didn't want their daughter to see what she was getting yet...
Everyone had left now--Vederat was literally the only person left. Not that he minded. Not really. He was disappointed that no one had said good-bye to him, but...he'd had fun, right? He sighed and took some of the abandoned peanut brittle. The cannon was starting to come back to life now that the freshlings had left. "Thanks," he said to one of the seniors.
The senior smiled at him. "Hey, no problem, kiddo. Thanks for making us all laugh. Happy Solstice."
"Yeah. Happy solstice to you, too!"
Well, that sucked. His mouth, that was--it sucked at candy canes that he had won at a second round of basketball. In all...an interesting day...
He wondered if the engineering students would like a hand next time...
One last go...or...maybe two last goes? Wyrdda decided to do two more runs. That would maximize the tiredness. It would also maximize the number of reindeer antlers she was wearing. Apparently there had been blue ones all along! Slightly annoying to find that out now...
"I like enchanting--oh. Uh, okay." Anchriesel was sad to see Zalir go, though he wished the Litch a happy solstice. He wondered if Zalir would like a friend...zey seemed like someone who needed a friend. Anchriesel, for his part, tossed another ring at the backmost pole and got it around, earning him one more rat and another book--the book on alchemy he had passed up earlier. Oh well. This...was good enough.
Oriset actually had a lot of fun handing out mugs. People always seemed glad to see her. That was really nice. She preferred the Nightmares, though--they said "thank you" more often. Ha. In your face, Uncle Sethiket! She even got someone to trade a bundle of candy canes for her own personal collection in exchange for a mug. Pretty good exchange in Oriset's opinion!
It almost seemed as though the festivities were beginning to slow down--much to the imp's disappointment. She never wanted the Solstice to end. The lights, the colors, the music, and all the plushies...
It was all so perfect.
All good things must come to an end... I guess.
A soft sigh fell from the imp's lips as she slowly strode up to another booth, a big smile curling on her lips as she spotted a rather large Vespercat plush which left her grinning. At least she still had plenty of time to win a few more cuties!
Alis had somehow been lucky enough to find themselves another bag to start putting some of their things in--thank the nine, honestly. Toys and trinkets and plushies and empty mugs were hanging to every spot on their body that they could find before they'd found the bag.
Suddenly though, Alis felt a bit like Santa Claws, walking around with a huge sack slung over their shoulder as they walked around, continuing to enjoy the Solstice festival in its entirety.
That of course included getting even more things to add to their bag, namely another small bracelet which they planned on saving for later.
Aaminah had been swearing up and down to herself that she was going to go back and collect more of the precious glowing bulb necklaces, but after getting her first two, the young demon had yet to return to the booth, a fact of which she was rather disappointed with herself about.
"I have just got to get back there. I have too many outfit ideas!" she said to no one in particular, a grin curling on her painted lips as she looked around, eventually spotting the booth and making her way over, glancing over the assortment of colors before offering a grin.
"Let's try for the pink one, yeah?" she said, looking down to the young Fennekit at her feet.

Braelyn found herself lingering by the booths with the Snowglobes for sometime, simply talking quietly with the nightmare behind the stand as they looked over all of the snowglobes. They were rather cute items, in all honesty. Perhaps she was a little too entranced by them, however.
Braelyn didn't care how odd she seemed, though. She was far too content shaking the little globes occasionally before watching the false-snow settle down against the ground.
"You know, I think I will take another," she said with a smile as she lifted up a second snowglobe. "They would look very cute on my desk,"

Rorie smirked as he managed to grab yet another plushie. His caregaver gave him a disapproving look but eventually sighed and put the plushie with the rest of his growing pile.

Really sorry, I didn't mean to quote my post. I was trying to get links for familiars. @.@;;
The chimera could only glare at the elf, stories from her parents of the unprovoked attack on their beloved Scepters rushed to the forefront of her mind. But Mytrax had to calm herself, she knew she couldn't cause a scene. Or lay blame on the daydream before her. It wasn't as if she or the elf had been there during the war.
So she forced an aloof look on her face, though the mien of her stance was clearly one of restraint. "Provided your race keeps the peace and refrains from attacking us again," the chimera answered frostily, the grip on the plushie tightening to the point her claws were ripping into the fabric.
What the chimera planned to say next was cut off as an unfamiliar creature started buzzing in her ear. "What the-"

Verve just shrugged, canting her head to the side as she grinned, "Dunno, but it'd be friggin' rad if there were." The fallen's reasoning for not liking the water made sense, "Yeah, I bet it'd be a real pain to get all those feathers water-proof too."
Speaking of water, Verve spotted a dart booth, only the darts were shaped like icicles. With a hmmm, the chimera picked a handful up and blindly tossed them at the targets, to her great surprise, she won something!
"Okay that was just dumb luck," she laughed, holding out the winged plush to Sprout.

Charmstar had never, up until that moment, seen a Nightmare that had emerged from their soulstone on October. Any sense of propriety or need to make a good impression left his mind as he dropped the intentional switch of vowels, "They look weird," he said, matter-of-fact as if stating that water was wet. "Do you see double or anything like that?" He was curious of the other freshling's visual acuity and grabbed a book the librarian was trying to peddle.
"Can you read super well? Or like see through stuff?" he asked, holding out the book to the other freshling.

Shard still couldn't decide who to throw a snowball at. So in the meantime, he grabbed a drink.
Whelp another plushie for the army. They were kind of cute to look at Aleis had to admit, and they could make good booby traps for who ever tried to navigate through Aleis’s room, not that Aleis kept most of their things there. It was the first place any one would try to look after all. Drawing out of their thoughts Aleis looked down at the plushie and noticed that it seemed a little dirty. Brushing off the dirt she smiled and placed it in their bag… .well that had to be enough plushies for a while right? The question was what thing did Aleis want to try to collect next. Cany might be nice, but it definitely wouldn’t last the night.
Well it hadn’t taken Faust long to actually get the boa, he had spotted one of the venders just draping it around people, although he had to time it just right since he didn’t want a green or yellow one. Seeing as the black one was just about to get grabbed. Faust maneuvered themselves at just the right time to grab it. Come to think of it it was kind of warm, maybe now he could even be considered festive? Hmm well some earrings wouldn’t hurt… and they would look pretty in their room right? Ugh this was hard.
Yami sipped away on some of the cider, it wasn’t the first time he had ever been to the festival and he had been here for a while actually. He thought he might try to catch Vanna, but Vanna was never one for school holidays. Winter always seemed to bring the worst out in their soon to be fearless leader. However it did make him a bit bored. He was tempted to call his dad and see if he had taken a long enough break from the café yet. However the weather was looking up for once and it was kind of fun to see the plushies sailing in the air. He did pity the ones that got hit the in face. Luckily Yami was in such a spot that the plushies tend to just sail on right past him. Hmmm did he know any other academy level students. It hadn’t been too long since he had been here. On second thought however for a school run event the beverages weren’t too bad. He would have to track down and see if he could see what kind of cider they made. Then again maybe he could figure out something similar to serve at the café.

Sprout observed the game, smiling a little as Verve nailed the prize. The Fallen blinked as the Chimera held out the plush. "Really? Thank you," they grinned, pulling it a bit closer. As Verve cleared the game space, the green-eared Fallen picked up a dart too. They rolled it between their fingers, feeling the slick ice before giving it a toss. Unfortunately, Sprout missed nearly completely. "I'm not really good at any of these solstice festivities," the Fallen sighed, having hoped to win something decent for the Chimera in return.
