leslie - courtyard->beach He'd honestly done a pretty good job playing keep away with a ******** of zombies, so there was that, at least. As soon as the vines came down, Leslie started for them, he'd just. Gotten detoured a little. His head hurt like an absolute b***h. "Stormy?" He stopped short, and beelined for her, and nodding at the rest that were there. "Uh. Is that the ******** that got dropped off the helicopter?" Yeah, okay. Leslie was a little bit slow.counter 29 hp 33 Quote: Your character experiences moments of unclarity where everything seems to blur. They become more aggressive and angry. ARORANGI - COURTYARDThey'd somehow, miraculously, made it out of the dormitory buildings.
Arorangi pushed and shoved his way out to find Lydia and Jake already there, and he gave a relieved sigh. Without any hesitation of the sort, he gathered them both against his chest (in Jake's case, very gently, so as to not jostle his broken arm) and gave them a bear hug. Lydia was also given a quick peck on the forehead.
"I am very glad to see you both are here safely, and that we were able to get out," he said. "We must fix your arm, Jake - what happened out here?"
The vines were gone, but the remnants of chaos remained, people lying everywhere, some standing, some bloodied, some looking as though they had just been through a war and back. Arorangi stared in stunned silence.
"This is...my goodness..."

[ Courtyard - Ever ] His plan was to swing at Ripley again -- lip pulled back in a growl, fury etched into his features -- and then, behind him, he saw the flash of Zeke getting up again to walk toward the beach again. It made him forget one fight and turn his attention to another, throwing himself to his feet and after the shambling Zeke. His intent, this time, wasn't just to take him down, but maybe to do a bit of damage while he did. Counter: 50 HP: 32 DMG: 0 on Zeke

[ Courtyard - Zeke ] Zeke went down hard as something, someone, slammed into him from behind. What he wasn't reacting to now, he would feel later, when, if, whatever had taken hold of him lifted. Blistered skin tore all along his forearm, his chest. The cut over his eye had opened again as he'd kissed the dirt and blood was obscuring his vision as he gave a furious howl, trying to twist out of Ever's grasp. He bucked, jerked, twisted to try to grab a handful of whatever he could reach. His fingers brushed soft curls, then sank in, closing tightly around a large handful. Ever had a split second to realize what was about the happen, to brace for it, then Zeke was using all his considerable strength to drag the other man off him, flipping him over his shoulder as he rose up on hand and knees, and slamming him down on the ground before him. Her head hurt. It was nosy. Why was it so nosy? Why couldn't... she just have some peace and quiet?! She began getting angry. Angry that Dae wasn't here. Angry that she still couldn't see. Angry that whatever was attacking her was STILL attacking her, and angry that Sherry had left her. Why wasn't Sherry helping her? Why wasn't she protecting her? She promised! She promised she'd take care of her!
It attacked her again, and she heard a calling. Someone was calling her name. Dae? ... no, that wasn't it. Whoever it was though, it must have been important. She had to go. But something... something was stopping her. "Stop... stop hitting me!" Mimi tried to shove whoever it was that was attacking her, but she tripped. It was hard to attack something when one couldn't see. Quote: Mimi:Location: Courtyard Action: Attacking Sherry Result: Miss Virus Counter: 42 + 12 = 54 (Stage 3) HP: 9/40

SHILOH - BEACHIan's voice was faint, far fainter than it should have been and the reason why had Shiloh's hard clutching agonizingly in his chest, but he couldn't think of that now, he couldn't focus on what had just happened, on himself. Ian needed him, because of him Ian needed him, and Shiloh was determined to make every ounce of it up to him, starting from that very second. "It's not all right," he said softly, and he held Ian in his arms, trying to support his weight, to carry all of it for him. "But it will be, I promise, you're going to be okay, we're going to be okay, this is all going to be over and we're going to have our wedding and leave this all behind." Ian was slipping from his grip, unable to stand on his own anymore and carefully Shiloh lowered the two of them, as foolish as that seemed when they were still surrounded by a horde of infected hunters. It didn't matter, Shiloh would protect him, even if it was with himself. "Do you think you could hold onto me, if I carried you?" Shiloh asked gently, brushing a hand over Ian's hair before lowering it, pressing it against his cheek. "We've got you get you help, we can't stay here, love..." He leaned over, pressing a kiss to the top of his head before looking up and taking stock of their surroundings. "Just hold on, okay."

Courtyard Whoever it was that she had attacked was suddenly gone, out of arms reach at least. Sherry was okay with this. She needed to keep moving. So it was too bad Mimi was still in the way. Sherry's foot got caught on the trainee. Sherry tripped too, in the end. She landed right on top of the poor little Mimi. This was really hindering her progress. Jeez. CHANCE - > BEACHThe blood was dripping down Maebe's face, staining her teeth, her clothes, her skin. Her fingers curled around his arm, and Chance yanked hard to get away, eyes narrowing as he grasped Otto's shoulders in an attempt at pulling him out from beneath her -
A flash of brown hair - and then Maebe was gone, and someone else had slammed into her, Dawson, by the looks of it, the two of them snapping predatorily at each other. Chance inhaled a sharp breath, wondering if he should go after them, but...
Instead he just put a hand on Otto's shoulder again, trying not to show how much they were shaking. His voice, unlike his body, was as calm and even as always, expression mild as Chance leaned over him.
"You all right?" he asked quietly.

Now brawling, this he could do. The anger rose out of him involuntarily, and Dawson found himself making similar growls in return as he struggled to pin her down. If it meant getting his shirt ripped and his skin bitten into (******** ******** ow), so be it.
"Would ya quit fawnin' over the b*****d n' drag his a** away from her?" Dawson yelled in a straining voice, his traitor heart thumping faster and louder with the tussle, challenging Maebe's hunger. They needed to get out, and then he needed to find Creedence's body, and then--s**t, he didn't know what anymore. Get away or die trying, something.

Someone was on top of her. Someone heavy. Mimi hissed, and attempted to shove whoever it off, but it was hard with only one hand. With all her might, she managed to push Sherry off her, and glared at her, barely feeling the pain now. All she felt was anger. Seething anger. SHE was preventing her from reaching her destination.

IAN - BEACHIan, unfortunately, was a relatively heavy guy, mostly in terms of just sheer body index. He'd always been somewhat muscular, and being on Deus had only firmed that up a little. He wasn't tall, he wasn't short, but even average was taller than Shiloh, and he felt bad about making him try and hold him.
That, and he just really thought the ocean was the place to be right now. It was whispering to him, calling to him.
"Yes, wedding," said Ian with a slow nod, blinking rapidly to get his eyes back into proper focus. He sat down gratefully on the sand, the ease of no longer having to be upright making him feel much better, even with the dizziness and the pain. "I like weddings, and I seriously like you, so I think the two of them combined is an excellent idea."
Shiloh's hand against his cheek was warm and gentle. Ian's face softened, and he reached for Shiloh's hand and gave it a squeeze.
"I'm fine, love," he said again, this time with more strength in his voice. "Really. I'll be okay, I just need a bit of time. We'll be all right, it's not your fault, okay? We're just fine."
And it was true; in spite of being terrified that Shiloh would not awaken, Ian didn't hold anything against him in the slightest. It hadn't been Shiloh, it had been someone else, something else that had overtaken him.Quote: Virus Counter: 50ish HP: 10

That was not a question that Mimsy would ever have anticipated from Robert. He had been the only one to give her any reason to want to stay on the island. He had been the one to remind her that they should be there, rather than making a permanent home in Wonderland. He had given her a physical home there, instead of any other place in any other world in any other universe. He had been the one to find faith in their work when no one else did. And instead of immediately reminding him of this, her reflex was to agree with him. Between the two of them, choosing this world above any other had always been her innate preference, despite how successful she'd been in suppressing it in favor of what he taught her. "I do not have an answer to those questions," she admitted. "Frankly, I do not even have a hint of drive to find acceptable or convincing answers to them. There is, however, something that I would first like to address before we consider any course of action." Tugging on his hand, she pulled him to sit on the ground with her, and inched over until she achieved a more typical level of closeness. Being like this was such a comfort that her tired body pleaded with her to sleep, just sleep, but she refused it. "I do understand your desire to be good. You are aware that it is something that I share. I know that it is very difficult, when it seems contradictory to everything you know, to believe in your goodness." She squeezed his hand with hers, and placed the other over his heart. "But I believe that you are good, just as you believe that I do. You have not condemned me for the rules or directives that I have followed. You have not condemned me for any prior attempts to take a life. You have not even condemned me for my desire to take one. It has taken a considerable amount of time for me to accept that the good within me is as present as you believe it is, but I finally have. I will not ask for you to change your opinions of Deus, as mine have never been favorable without you - but will you join me in my efforts to believe in the woman that you see me to be, by believing in the man that I see you to be?"
