"I have no clue, I was thinking of asking Shiro since he's closer."
Unless her mother was around the camp and she didn't notice, and Kyrie was probably in town. If it was something managable (and for all Miyuki knew maybe it was), then Shiro would be her best bet.
"Just one moment, I need to get Shiro's attention," Miyuki motioned before making her way to Shiro.
She had noticed he was reading his tablet, which meant she would have to grab his attention first.

Wren nodded as Miyuki went off.
Shiro for once was not entirely engrossed in his tablet, and as Miyuki approached, he sighed and shut it off. Without looking around, he stretched, arching his back as only cats and nekos could do, and then rose to his feet.
"Hi, Miyuki," he greeted his cousin with a warm smile. "No Pokemon with you today?"

"I left them in the tent for now," Miyuki explained, "Andarien isn't feeling well. He's curled up in his bed, he said he's cold but he looks too warm and I don't know what to do. I don't even know how serious it is...."
But he did truly look miserable.

Shiro nodded. "Well, I can come check him out, if you like," he suggested. "I don't know how much I'd be able to do for him, but at least I can see how bad he is."
He tucked his tablet away in the bag that was made specially for it and motioned for Miyuki to lead the way.

"Thanks," Miyuki murmured as she led Shiro back, "I've never seen him like this, and I don't know what to make of it."
It didn't help that he didn't tell anyone and he was just lying there in bed.

"To be fair," Shiro pointed out, "we've been very fortunate in not having anyone come down sick before now. We've been traveling for years now, and aside from some growing pains and injuries, we've all been experiencing very good health."
He smiled at Miyuki. "I'm sure it won't end up being anything major."

"Is getting sick common?" Miyuki asked as she entered the bedroom hallway.
This showed how little she knew about such things, but a lot of people in the Winters' family seemed to be resistant to most diseases (or so it appeared) and unknown to Miyuki her grandfather probably got all of his shots as a child.

"For most people, yes," Shiro nodded, following after her. "But there are probably several reasons why we've managed to avoid it. Different world. We've been mostly with elves, who are immune, and I don't even know if they would be carriers. But honestly back in Gaia, probably ninety percent of the population gets some kind of illness with regularity, hardly ever anything to really worry about."
When they reached Andarien's door, Shiro stepped aside and let Miyuki lead the way in.
Shoneah was sitting cross-legged at the head of Andarien's futon with Kaede in her lap. Zeus was lying next to Andarien, and Eon was still pacing. Aside from the gentle padding of Eon's feet, there was no sound.

"How is he doing?" Miyuki asked as they stepped back in.
She could tell Eon was quite worried, which wasn't a surprise. Eon was Andarien's first Pokemon (and hatched first).

Shoneah glanced up at Miyuki, and her eyes flickered briefly to Shiro before going back to Miyuki. Since she was the one who had spoken, she was the one Shoneah now addressed.
"The same," she said quietly. "It's only been a few minutes, though, so I wouldn't expect there to be much change, if any."
"Let me take a look at him," Shiro said, following after Miyuki and then striding past her. He knelt at Andarien's side and gently rolled him onto his back. "Come on, let me see," he murmured.
Andarien looked up at Shiro, but his eyes didn't seem to want to focus.

Miyuki stood aside to give Shiro room to check Andarien over. It also would keep her from hovering, because that is what she was tempted to do. To hover to see how Andarien was fairing.
She even put her hands behind her back to keep herself from fidgeting too much.

Shiro put a hand to Andarien's forehead, then his cheek, and then he began to ask him some questions - did his head hurt, how did his stomach feel, how was his breathing ...
At length, he turned to Miyuki. "I think it's just a basic autumn flu," he told her. "Unless something happens and he gets worse, but he should get better in a few days. He'll need someone to check on him periodically - make sure he's getting lots of water to drink, only small bits to eat."
He stood up again. "Oh - and I would suggest letting your parents know," he added. "Nothing to worry about, but it would be wise."

"Okay, I guess there's not much we can do but let him rest then," Miyuki murmured.
It also sounded like Andarien wouldn't be meeting Shoneah at the forge tomorrow. It might take longer than just a day for him to get over it.
"And maybe start by getting him a glass of water," she mused.
She wondered if she could more water into a teapot for easy use...

"Why not just fill a flask?" Shoneah suggested quietly, picking Kaede up and setting the Leafeon on the floor beside her so that she could stand. "They can hold quite a bit, so they wouldn't need refilling often."
"That could work," Shiro agreed. "And someone should sit with him and make sure he drinks it. Not all at once, but slowly."
He shrugged. "Aside from that, sleep is what he needs."

"Okay," Miyuki nodded in agreement.
It was good to know it wasn't anything too serious, even if Andarien wasn't really that comfortable.
"Let's go then and let him sleep, I'll go get that flask."
