It was almost two hours later before her eyes opened. For a moment she'd forgotten that they'd talked, so she was confused why he was holding her. Then it came back, and she felt embarrased. Was he awake? She couldn't tell.

He was awake, and when she awoke he broke into a smile. He leaned down and kissed her softly, releasing her from his arms slowly as he sat back and asked "All better?"

"I'm not sure, did anything get fixed?" she sat up a little bit, oddly feeling the little bump on her stomach, and then looked up at Jay.

Illiana pouted in her crib. She had been in it for a long time. Her stomach wasn't growling anymore though at least. She slammed her hands down on the bed and pouted unhappily. She finally stood and unloicked her crib door. It was becoming easier and easier. She slid to the floor and bit her lip. She had a warm feeling inside her. She had been feeling it for a long time. She sat down. Well, more like flopped. Illiana pulled her stuffed puppy close and squeezed it tightly. Suddenly she yelped as she felt something strange. She peeked and found a copy of ehrself. She opened her eyes wide in surprise. She waved shyly. The copy did the same. Illiana giggled and handed her puppy to her. "Puppy!" The double took the puppy and hugged it. "Puppy!" Both laughed out loud. Finally, Illiana moved to the toy chest and started pulling toys out. The copy joined her. Soon they were playing contently.

Jay came into the room and saw Illiana playing with a doppleganger version of herself
"You shouldn't be able to do that" He said grumpily as he took the two illiana's and put them in his arms, waiting for the one to dissapear so he could play with the other.

Pale walked slowly into the room. Like some extreme version of a stressed out person who has yet to get their caffine fix, and blinked several times when she saw her...daughters? "Imadreamin" she mumbled

Illiana giggled and squealed as she saw her parents. "Firend!" She pointed to the other copy of herself. She suddenly yawned and the copy flickered. It then disappeared as though it had never been. She wrapped her arms around her dad's neck and smiled. "Papa an' mama play?"
Rias watched the scene through the window. SHe was hidden to where she couldn't be seen by them but she could see them. The two adults were playing with the child. Perhaps she could offer her protection for the child. Perhaps. She wasn't at all sure whether or not it would be wise.

"Yep!" He said with a grin as he lifted her out of the crib and spun her in the air, holding her up on his shoulders now and asked "How about the three of us go out as a family? It's a good day for the beach.."

Illiana sqealed and giggled in excitement. Suddenly she looked out the window. "Birdy!" She smiled and waved in excitement.
Rias shifted in surprise. THe child had seen her. How she wasn't certain. Just in case she drifted back behind the stones so that she couldn't be seen. The girl was indeed a strange one. She smiled.

Pale smiled at Illiana and shrugged "That's probably a good idea. I think it's a little chilly out today but it might have-" she yawned "changed. It's been months since I've been there, and I don't think Illiana ever has."

"are you still tired, love? We could always postphone it" He said as he looked at illiana and kissed her cheek "Yep...birdies outside" He said as he bounced her on his shoulder.

Illiana giggled again and turned back to her mother. "Mama! Play!" She wriggled unceasingly.
Rias dropped some outside the window, feeling a bit safer now that the child had stopped looking at her. She settled herself on one of the gargoyle's heads and rested her chin in her palm and watched with a half smile.

Pale blushed when Illiana talked to her, then smiled and shook her head to Jay "I need to get used to myself getting tired, and there's no way I could turn her down now. We can get going if you'd like."

"I'll get a bag and pack some towels and a lunch for you two" He said. He handed Illiana over to Pale as he dissapeared into the bathroom to grab three towels, then downstairs to get the food.

Illiana clapped her hands in excitement. They were going to the beach! She grinned and hugged her mother tightly around the neck and then placed a wet kiss on her mother's cheek. She giggled and squirmed a little in amuesment.
Rias covered her mouth as laughter threatened to erupt. The child was indeed a joy to watch. She accidentally bit her lip, causing blood to well breifly. Really, it was a bit funny but it also hurt.
