Keegan couldn't help but think of how surreal this situation suddenly felt, as he'd not only escaped the kitchen with his stomach lining in tact, but not only for as far back as he could possibly remember, he had never been allowed into his father's study/office/whatever. He couldn't recall a single occasion on which he had seen the room other than a glimpse through the threshold before the door was shut and even then most of it was obscured from view. Oh, god. He's going to torture me. Or kill me. Or torture me, and then kill me. Or wait, no, please, no. Please let this not be another attempt at "the talk", the redhead thought desperately, thinking that compared to all the mortal peril and public humiliation he'd endured over the past week, nothing was more mortifying than the time his father had sat him down and attempted to have the sex talk with him. His approach hadn't exactly been wrong, it was just more that Keegan was plenty old enough to know all about it, and he had never spent a more uncomfortable and embarrassing hour since.
He practically dragged his feet the entirety of the trip through the house to get to his father's place of solace, and he paused outside the heavy wooden door, fist raised to knock. Keegan jumped a little as his knock was preempted by the door swinging open, and his father was standing there, looking him in the eye as though he were a bouncer trying to match some punk kid to his fake ID. Finally, the silence was broken, and he turned and went inside. "Well, are you coming in, or are you just gonna stand there?"
"Thinking about just standing here, to be honest," Keegan answered before he could stop himself, and he involuntarily flinched, fully expecting some sort of smack to the back of the head.
Interestingly enough, however, Todd only scoffed, and he shook his head. "Always a smartass," he grumbled, allowing the door to close behind them as his son was ushered into the room.
"Better than being a dumbass," the redheaded smartass replied, and it was quickly followed up by a sigh, and he groaned inwardly. Just dig a little deeper, Keegan, that's about the only thing you're good at, he thought bitterly.
Todd raised an eyebrow, not impressed. "Are you finished?"
Keegan nodded. "Quite."

Nina and Anna exited The Chrome, with Whitney and a walking-on-air Sabrina following; Science was at the back of the queue, making some strange noises. "Who'da thought that our little Sabrina would be making kissy-face with such a cute boy?" Whitney said to really no one in particular, but she nudged the psychic after she spoke. Sabrina giggled a little bit; "Knock it off!" she said with a hint of playfulness, which erased her typical prevalent austere vocal intonation. It seemed like Whitney's little jab didn't irritate her for once. "I just-- this sort of thing doesn't happen to me. It doesn't happen. I never go out to nightclubs, let alone do I ever find people worth speaking to, and I certainly do not kiss them, especially in the span of a few short hours! I-- this is quite foreign." Whitney grinned. "It's okay, Sabrina!" she exclaimed. "I'm really happy for you! It's great that you had the opportunity to get to know who must be a great guy-- after all, I'm sure your standards are higher than most people's, therefore Damon's gotta be worth it!" The girl paused for a moment. "Although... hmm. The last time that one of us met such a nice guy, he turned out to be a manipulative d**k." Nina turned her head to look back to Whitney and shot her an annoyed expression. "Oi, watch your tongue." Whitney giggled sheepishly; "Sorry, Nina. It's the truth, though! All I'm saying is that we should keep an eye on this guy, because he just might be too good to be true." Science beeped a few times, although it didn't seem like he was doing it to agree with Whitney. Sabrina shrugged the girl's comment off. "I understand the concern, and I appreciate it," she began, "but honestly, I don't feel the same sort of energy from him that radiated from Raimundo. There's no evil intent that I can feel from him; it seems as though he's genuine." Perhaps feeling slightly overprotective, Nina turned to look back to Sabrina as they continued walking. "Still," she started, "just... be careful, okay? Keep an eye out, especially since you seem to want to see him again." Whitney's interest piqued. "Ah, that's right! He wanted to battle with you or something, right?! Oh boy, has he got his work cut out for himself!" Sabrina chuckled and rolled her eyes. "Well, we don't know that," she said. "He uses Fire- and Ice-tyes, and they're pretty powerful in their own rights; he could have a Houndoom, for all I know, and that'd mess me up quite a bit." She paused for a moment. "Although, thinking about it... he did say he uses a Delibird, too."
Nina stopped walking; she, Anna, Whitney, and even Science turned to look at Sabrina. Science began beeping madly while Whitney burst out into laughter. "He-- he-- I'm sorry, but what?!" Her laughter transitioned into cackling, while Nina managed to somehow stifle her own laughter. "That's, er... certainly an interesting choice," the blue-haired girl remarked. "Did he-- er, was there any specific reason he said that he chose to raise one of those?" Sabrina shook her head. "Not really, no. He mentioned that he had one in his party, and he said that it was one Pokemon he got a lot of flak for using, but that it could prove to be very annoying to deal with... so I mean, you never know. Maybe he actually knows what he's doing." Whitney cackled again. "Maybe he actually knows what he's doing," she echoed. "Ehehehe. I'm sorry, Sabrina, I'm doing the rude thing again. I just-- I wasn't expecting to hear that, is all." Science buzzed, seeming to offer his apologies as well. "But, um, when are you gonna see him again? Do you know that yet?" Sabrina replied that she didn't. "Damon said he was going to be spending tomorrow with his sister, Natalia, and the three of us never stay in one place for too long, so..." She shrugged. "He does have my telephone number, though. He's got an interesting device-- he called it an Xtransciever, which is this sort of phone with a screen on it that can let you see the person with whom you're speaking in real time. Of course, it only works if both parties have one." Nina looked a little puzzled. "An Xtransciever? I've never heard of such a thing." The elder psychic shrugged again. "Neither had I, until Damon mentioned his. According to him, they're developed in the Unova region, and they haven't really become commercially available outside of there just yet. They do look rather interesting, though; I'd like to get my hands on one when I'm able."
The girls continued chatting about various different topics on their trek to the Goldenrod City Gym; it wasn't much longer before they arrived. Whitney unlocked the doors and entered, followed closely by her companions. "Whew," she said, "I dunno what it is, but I'm feelin' wicked tired all of a sudden. I guess all that dancing and stuff from before is catching up to me." Nina chuckled. "Oh, you mean all five minutes of it before you decided to play chicken with Sasha?" The pink-haired girl looked falsely affronted. "It was NOT a game of chicken!" she exclaimed. "And I guess in looking back on it, Sasha didn't mind. That's probably what helped us bond a little!" Nina rolled her eyes and laughed a bit as she and Sabrina found themselves being led to the dormitory of the Gym. "So, what did the pair of you want to do after tonight?" Sabrina asked, as she began changing out of her clothes and into her pajamas. Whitney pondered the question as she changed out of her shirt and into her nightshirt, which was substantially longer and looser than her everyday shirt; it had a picture of a Clefairy and a Miltank holding hands on the front of it, with their tails on the back of it. "I'm down for anything, really," she replied. "Nina, do you have any ideas?" Nina changed out of her clothes into a tanktop and boyshorts which both depicted a Pokeball design. "Well," the psychic began, "I've actually been thinking about something for a while now. It's been ages since I've gotten myself any new Gym Badges... so, I was thinking that maybe I could take on a few Gyms or something. Plus, battling against Gym Leaders will provide a great opportunity for me to train up my Tirtouga!" Whitney beamed at the mention of Nina's Tirtouga. "That's a great idea!" she screeched. "Oh, oh! Have you thought of a nickname for him yet?" Taken slightly aback at Whitney's abrupt screech, she replied that she didn't. "He's kind of timid, but he seems friendly enough... I'm sure that he's going to be a valiant little warrior, but I can't really think of something that fits with any of that. Do either of you have any suggestions?" Making her way over to one of the beds, Sabrina sat down, crossed her legs, and rested her face in her hand; her arm was bent at a ninety degree angle and her elbow was resting on her legs. "Hmm. What about... Brutus?" Sabrina suggested. "Nehhh... that's too assassin-y. He doesn't seem like a murderer. But-- oh! What about--"
"Courtney!"
Nina and company stared at Whitney. "Courtney?" Anna repeated. "Whitney, I'm uncertain as to whether or not you're aware of this, but Nina's Tirtouga is a boy." Whitney was now sitting on a bed of her own; she had her arms crossed. "I know that! But, who's to say that he has to have a guy's name just because he's a boy, huh? I mean, look at Science! His nickname isn't a bad one." Sabrina wore an expression that seemed to convey that Whitney's logic was hurting her brain. "Yes," she began, "but Science is a genderless Pokemon. His nickname is genderless." Nina raised an eyebrow at her sister's proposition. "I was thinking of naming him DiCaprio," she stated matter-of-factly. "I think it'll be nice." Whitney shook her head vigorously. "Nonono!" she said. "I've got a better idea-- let him out of his Pokeball, and we can call out our nicknames to him! Whoever he comes to will be the one that gets to name him, okay?" Nina winced. "Are you aware that he's utterly terrified of you?" she asked. "He won't go anywhere near you; it'll just be a waste of time." Whitney raised an eyebrow. "Well then, if you're so sure of that, then you've got nothing to lose! Let him out."
With a despondent sigh, Nina shook her head. I can't believe I'm doing this. She snatched Tirtouga's Pokeball and released him into the dormitory; the aquatic Pokemon blinked a few times, looking around at its surroundings. "Okay, Tirtouga," Nina said, "Whitney and I are gonna call you by a couple different names. What we want you to do is come to the name that you like best, okay?" The Pokemon blinked lazily, as if that was his response of, "Okay." With a bit of a smile, Nina called to her Pokemon. "DiCaprio!" she said. "DiCaprio, c'mere!" The Pokemon looked at its Trainer, blinking a few times and not really moving, despite her repeatedly calling out to him. But then--
"Courtney! Come here, sweetheart! Come here to Aunt Whitney!" Tirtouga turned its head to look to Whitney; yes, this was the girl with far too much energy and the same girl who scared him far too much in only a short while. He blinked, looking curiously to her, before turning around and ignoring his Trainer's cries of, "DiCaprio! DiCaprio, where are you going?!" as he began making his way to the pink-haired girl. Not wanting to scare the Pokemon away, Whitney kept calling out to him, while Nina became ever more distressed.
Eventually, Whitney found herself patting the baby Pokemon on its head. "It appears as though he's made up his mind. Courtney it is, then." Nina pursed her lips very tightly. "Courtney?" she said, piquing the turtle Pokemon's interest; he turned his head to look from Whitney back to Nina. Oh, you've got to be kidding me... Well, if it's what he likes, then there's not much I can do about it. Nina raised her Pokeball and recalled him into it.
"I'm going to bed now," she said simply, while Whitney began giggling madly. "And you can go to hell."

Robin watched from her new place on top of the cliff as Amelia went into the sand castle. When she couldn't see her anymore Robin ran over towards the sandcastle she and Ace had come out of to wait for the young girl to appear. Peaking inside Robin frowned when she couldn't find her. "Amelia?" She called into the castle. Scratching her head Robin looked around before looking down at Ace, the fire pokemon just shrugged at her. "Huh." Robin muttered.
"Robin? I am over here! How did you get over there?" Amelia's familiar voice called out to them.
"Amelia?" Robin yelled out, the redhead ignored the stares that they were getting from the patrons below them as she frantically looked around for the young girl she was supposed to be looking after. It was a good thing Ace was with her as the fiery monkey grabbed a hold of her hand stopping her and pointing to the left and up a bit. Following his finger Robin quickly spotted Amelia who was waving at the two of them. Jumping up and down excitedly waving back Robin ran over as close as she could get to where the other girl was. "Hey there! How did you get over there?"
"I dunno. The same way you got over there I guess."
"Magic?" Robin called back confused. For all she knew it was magic. At her side Ace looked embarrassed to be seen or associated with Robin.
"We probably teliported here. I think if we get in the sandcastles it teliports us around." Amelia called back to Robin.
"Oh, well I have a second one here. Let me go through and see if it takes me over to you ok?" Robin called back. Without waiting for a response the girl took off with Ace by her side as they leapt into another sandcastle and were whisked away to some new place.

Both of the Onix's hit head on. The Rage attack from the smaller Onix hitting Roarks right in the chest sending it back a few paces. Roark didn't seem worried though and just smiled as he watched his Onix recover. "Onix use Dig!" He called out. Time to take this battle underground, the rock type gym leader was sure that the younger Onix could follow them underground it wouldn't stand a chance against Roarks more experienced Onix, especially since it's trainer wouldn't be able to see what was going on underground exactly.

To say that Kenny was surprised when he was released from a pokemon would be an understatement. The ghost type pokemon didn't even remember being put in his pokeball in the first place. The last thing Kenny remembered was making sure that his trainer didn't do anything stupid. Blinking his single eye Kenny looked to see who released him and wasn't surprised to see both Leo was there with Angelic holding his pokeball. Looking around though he couldn't see his trainer anywhere. Looking over at the two questioningly. "Dus?"
"Oh Kenny it's terrible!" Angelic sniffled slightly as she looked over at the tall ghost pokemon. "We didn't know what else to do. We can't find him!"
The ghost watched as Leo put a hand around her shoulders and patted her back. "Ah what she means to say is that sometime last night Dante seemed to wonder off somewhere." He paused for a moment. "We think he did anyway. If your here though then we aren't really sure." Leo trailed off at that last thought.
"All his stuff is here to. We don't know what happened. You wouldn't happen to know where he is would you?"
Kenny could only stare at the two in surprise. Dante was missing? The Dusclops felt worry build up inside of him. What was he supposed to do? With Apollo out of the picture he was the one in charge now. Looking over at the two humans he gave them a worried look before he thought to ask about his other team mates. The ghost type suddenly found himself in a game of charades as he did his best to motion for his trainers bag and maybe all the pokemon inside of it. It took about thirty minutes before he was presented with his trainers bag. Hurriedly the ghost pokemon opened up his trainers bag and was a bit dismayed yet felt a little better at the contents. Inside the bag nothing was missing, all his pokeballs were there, his clothes, phone, books and whatever other stuff he had jammed into his bag. While all of his stuff was here that meant that his trainer was wondering around without anything! He had never had the best of luck. For all Kenny knew he was being eaten by wild pokemon right now!

Kressen shook his head at her words. "You did great Hayley. I had a type advantage going for me. That was the main thing that one this battle. Plus, Odin would have had to catch Snivy who was already faster than him while paralyzed. You'd have worn us out soon enough even if the attacks weren't very effective." He patted her shoulder trying to pump her up a bit. It was a good match, so don't doubt your battling skills."
He nodded eagerly thinking about a rematch. "A fight between those too could take a while since they are the same species. It would still be fin to maybe have a three on three match." He nodded at her decision figuring they'd be parting ways soon enough. "Maybe I'll see you there after I finish up business in town with Professor Oak. I may only be there a day or so it won't take me long to catch up to you if you plan on staying in Pewter awhile. It'll be my first gym battle on my way to the League."

Koffing emerged in a flare of white light, spinning around and looking happier than Jasper had ever seen her. Clouds of greenish smoke drifted out of her pores and she came to a stop, staring down at the rat with wide, goofy eyes and an even goofier grin. 'This should be interesting,' Jasper thought with a small frown. 'Considering that I've never battled with Koffing before, and I don't even really remember her being useful or effective back down in the well.' He tried to push those thoughts away though, as he recalled that the Rocket she'd belonged to had been fairly useless himself, and you couldn't often judge a Pokemon based on their trainer. "You take the first move, kid," he said, giving the boy the go-ahead.
"You'll regret that," Billy said with a wide grin, and Jasper couldn't help but admire his confidence. "Rattata, Tackle it!" The mouse gave a cry and darted forward, trying its best to look intimidating as it launched its tiny frame up at Koffing.
Jasper opened his mouth to issue a counterattack but realized quickly that he didn't know Koffing's moves, and all he muttered incoherently for a moment. "Uh, drift upwards, try to dodge," he said, hoping that the boys hadn't noticed his blunder, and he withdrew his Pokedex and scanned through it, making it seem as though he were more interested in the Pidgey and Rattata. 'Ooh, Smokescreen, I likey,' he thought, looking up as Koffing had only just avoided the Rattata's Tackle. "Smokescreen," he called, keeping the device open.
Koffing chortled and spun around again, sending out a concentrated cloud of thick smoke. Billy's Rattata began to cough and sputter, and soon both Pokemon had vanished from sight. "Rattata!" Billy called. "Focus Energy! Don't worry, we've still got this!" From somewhere within the smoke cloud, the mouse gave a cry. Jasper somehow knew this kid wouldn't be an easy win. * * * * * * * * * * Kressen's words were kind, and the brunette allowed herself to cheer up a bit. "Thanks, Kressen," she said, feeling a bit better. "You're right, and besides, we're still pretty new to this." He mentioned seeing her again and she smiled, grabbing her sketchbook and tearing off a small piece of paper from one of her doodle pages. "Here, this is my phone number," she said, jotting down the digits and handing the scrap to him. "This way, we'll meet up again someday for sure!" To be truthful she wasn't sure just how long she'd be out in the forest, as when she went off looking for something, she had a tendency to lose track of time, so it wasn't completely crazy to consider that she still might be here by the time Kressen made his way back from Pallet Town.
It was obviously time to part ways, but Hayley was a bit hesitant. She liked the redhead and his company, but she reminded herself that they would meet again, and she threw her arms around him in a surprise hug. "Have a save trip to Pallet," she said, letting him go and giving him a bit of a push in the right direction. "We'll meet again soon, I know it!"

A look of pleasant surprise came over Kressen's face as Hayley gave her number to him."Thanks Hayley. I'll shoot you a text later with my number and to check if you got out of the forest all right." He expected to be in Pallet tomorrow morning even with the delay of being attacked and the happy chance meetings he'd been having all day.
The day got even better as the cute brunette surprised him yet again with a hug. He jumped a bit, but awkwardly blushed as he quickly hugged her back before she pushed him towards Pallet town.I'll try my best not to piss off anymore Beedrill, but you know me. I have really weird luck. I'll see you in Pewter soon enough." He offered her a parting wave before disappearing into the dense brush of the forest.

Dawn had since broken as Nina found herself rousing from sleep; yawning a bit loudly, she wiped the sleep from her eyes and waited for them to focus. When her vision improved, she found herself alone in the dormitory, but heard noises coming from the main area of the Gym; it stood to reason that her sisters were out there. Nina changed out of her nightclothes and opened her bag for her usual attire which she had stuffed in there the night prior-- it consisted of a dark grey shirt, a black vest, a blue skirt, a pair of black knee-highs, and a snapback which she had recently started wearing, but was unsure whether or not to continue doing so. She stuffed her nightclothes into her bag, which housed a plethora of other items inside of it; she joked to herself that it was bigger on the inside. She closed her bag and set her outfit on the bed; before getting dressed, however, she looked down at her body. She wasn't really looking at anything in particular, but rather, she seemed to just be observing herself. She cupped her bosoms and bounced them up and down a few times; they were buxom enough, but the thought of how her right one was just ever so slightly larger than her left was passing through her mind; she grumbled a little. She examined her arms and legs, which were slender and to her liking-- or, well, she liked them enough. She did think that they could use just a little more mass, especially her arms, but they'd do for now. Eyeing a wall-mounted mirror in the dormitory, she approached it; it reflected her from the chest up. Nina moved her face close to the mirror and then retracted it; she put her index fingers on either eyebrow and pulled up on them quickly, before doing the same with the corners of her upper lip. Following that, she tilted her head, opened her mouth, and stuck her tongue out, only before she said her name a few times, altering the intonation of it just a little bit each time. She stared at her reflection for a moment before wagging her finger in a scolding demeanor. "You can't do that," she said; "it's wrong. I'll kick your a**."
The girl rolled her eyes and giggled a little bit before walking back to the bed and snatching her clothes up, changing into them. She grabbed her bag and slung it over her shoulder afterwards and exited the dormitory, making her way towards the Gym's main area. When she arrived, she could hear Sabrina and Whitney talking to one another from the centermost area of Whitney's Clefairy labyrinth. After navigating for a few minutes, she met up with the pair of them; Anna and Science were absent. The latter Pokemon was probably off tormenting the former. "Morning!" she said. "How are--" Nina stopped talking as she saw Whitney playing with Tirtouga-- or Courtney, as he seemed to be like to be called now. To say she was playing with him, however, wasn't quite the right way to describe it; rather, the girl was playing dress-up with him. Whitney giggled joyously; "Do you like it, Nina?" she asked. "I made a pretty red ribbon for him to wear and he really likes it!" Courtney was now sporting a small red ribbon on his head, and he seemed pretty pleased in wearing it, although he seemed a little anxious in being around Whitney. He really wasn't sure what to make of that loud girl just yet-- he liked the oldest girl because she was quiet and didn't do strange things to him. "Nina, I tried to stop her," Sabrina confessed, "but she wouldn't. Plus, Tirtouga-- err, Courtney seems to like the bow, so there really wasn't much I could do..." Nina's eye twitched a little as she looked at her Pokemon. "You are turning my Tirtouga into a transvestite!" she exclaimed. "Gosh, what's next-- are you going to put him in a matching dress to go with that bow?!" Whitney blinked. "I can't really do that," she replied, "seeing as how he's quadrupedal and all. A dress wouldn't really be practical." Nina stared blankly for a moment before she began to seethe. "Don't put my turtle in a dress." Whitney sighed despondently, but that was mostly feigned emotion. "Gosh, Nina, why are you being so transphobic?" Nina's eye twitched again. "I am not being transphobic!" she bellowed. "I just-- before you go dressing up my Pokemon, do you think you could tell me beforehand? Would that be asking too much?" Her sister looked apologetic. "No, I'm sorry. I'll ask next time. But, do you like Courtney's bow?" The girl blinked a few times, wordless, before shifting her gaze to look at her Pokemon. Courtney seemed quite pleased with himself, and he wore an expression of happiness in his eyes as he looked back to his Trainer. "Maaa-haaa!" he squeaked. Nina rolled her eyes and smiled a little bit, before squatting down and patting Courtney on his head. "I do like it," she replied. "It looks very nice on you, Courtney." As she stood up, she looked to her sister; "Wait a minute, I just thought of something. Since you were out here with Courtney before I got up, that means you nicked his Pokeball from me! Give it back!" Whitney giggled sheepishly before reaching into her pocket and tossing the ball back to its owner. "Heh, sorry!" Pursing her lips, the psychic clipped the ball back onto her belt with the others.
"Well then," Sabrina said, after remaining silent for Nina and Whitney's little episode, "barring any further gender reassignments, what would the pair of you like to do today? I know you'd mentioned you'd like to work on collecting some more badges, Nina, but was there anything else you'd like to do before that?" After contemplating for a moment, the girl shook her head. "Not in particular, no. I would like to get some breakfast before we head out, though-- maybe at the Department Store again, if that's okay?" When her sisters affirmed that it was fine, she collected Courtney into his Pokeball and led the girls out of the Clefairy maze. Upon exiting it, she found-- as she had initially thought-- Science pestering Anna, following her around the Gym. "Hey, you two!" she called to them, "get yourselves over here! We're gonna go grab some breakfast!"

For a long time, Riza just stood there, silently fuming. Her mind went over both battles with her brother, trying to figure out where she had gone wrong but she was too angry to think clearly. She picked up a rock off the ground and threw it as hard as she could, hearing it crack off a tree in the distance. The raven haired girl couldn't remember ever feeling this angry before as it wasn't the first time she'd had her butt kicked in a battle. Perhaps it was just because it had been her brother who had bested her but she really didn't care. She had a new goal now and that was to show her brother that she wasn't weak.
'I'm starting to sound like Crenu,' she thought as she'd started walking back toward Vermilion City, and she sighed, knowing her anger was irrational. Her Pokemon needed healing now so they were her first priority, but her resolve was firm. She was going to make her Pokemon stronger, and then she'd show him. She'd show everyone. She slowed her pace and allowed her anger to flow out of her system, and by the time she'd reached the pokecenter she was feeling quite tired. She waited in a small line before handing over Akima, Yula and Diemia's poke balls for treatment, now feeling bad that she'd let her Pokemon down. She grabbed a lemonade from a vending machine and sat down to await their return.
'Well then I guess I need to decide what I'm doing now,' she thought, having a sip of the cool lemonade and sighing. The next contest wouldn't be for a while, and she had resolved to win some more gym badges but she didn't know where to go next for that. She sat there until her Pokemon were healed and her lemonade was gone and she tossed the bottle in the recycling bin before going to reclaim them. She thanked the nurse and started to reattach the spheres to her belt, and paused. "Excuse me, Nurse Joy, but would you happen to know the location of the nearest gym from here?"
The nurse pondered it a moment, and nodded. "Ah, yes. That would be the Saffron gym, but the Celadon gym isn't too far from that. And of course, the Cerulean gym is located north."
Riza nodded. "I've won the badge in Cerulean," she said, pursing her lips. She'd heard frightful tales of the gym leader in Saffron and decided to avoid it for now, but the Celadon gym sounded promising.
"If you go up through Saffron and Cerulean and then through Mount Moon, there is a gym in Pewter City," the nurse said, seeing Riza's pensive expression.
"Pewter City?" Riza repeated, touching her chin thoughtfully. The advice was quite sound and now she had to make a choice of where to go next. "Okay, thank you, Nurse Joy," she said, smiling a bit. She headed over to the map on the wall to study it as a visual representation of the Kanto cities would definitely help. * * * * * Katie frowned a little, but it didn't last as she'd taken out her Pokedex to look up the Copycat move. Since it only mimicked the last move used in battle, she wouldn't have to worry about it again. 'If we use Reflect, Happiny will just copy that too though,' she thought, closing the device but holding on to it for now. Unfortunately, the Shadow Ball move she'd taught to Darla would be just as useless as Astonish which meant her only real attack to rely on was Psywave which always varied in power. Though even if the little pink Pokemon used Copycat on Psywave, it wouldn't be very effective on the psychic-type anyway. "Go ahead and use Psywave," she called out, and Darla gave a little growl, her round body starting to glow before she sent out some oddly glowing rings of psychic energy.
Neither Pokemon was overly fast so the Happiny could only look on with wide eyes as the rings smashed into her and she tumbled over backwards. She was a resilient little thing though, jumping back up to her feet. Thea didn't seem to be worried though and gave a nod. "Okay Happiny let's give your Toxic attack a try." The little pink Pokemon hopped up and down, causing sickly purple orbs to appear over her head and she launched them at Darla. The Solosis cried out, trying to drift away from them but instead moving right into their path and the goo seeped into her membrane and now causing her to appear a purplish colour as well. * * * * * Jasmine was grinning broadly as Miharu's Metang stood strong against the Dig attack, retaliating with a Scary Face to lower her Steelix's speed. The giant Iron Snake shook her head fiercely, trying to rid herself of the sluggish feeling but it wasn't working and she gave a loud roar and glared at Tingle, finding the Metang to be quite a nuisance.
"It's time to give them a taste of their own medicine," Jasmine called out. "Steelix, use Earthquake!" The large steel-type gave a second roar, large tail raising high above the already battered ground before slamming it down hard, causing the floor to tremble and shake once more. It was a very good thing that Jasmine's gym had been built to resist earthquakes, both natural and Pokemon made otherwise her insurance would be sky high by now.

"Dig huh? Um...what do we do?" Atlas already knew what he wanted to do. He wanted to attack! He wanted to go head to head with that Onix once more, smashing into one another just now felt great! And he was full of rage feeling even stronger than ever! "I haven't taught you dig though so...shoot. Ah ok, brace yourself and use another Curse!" After that first curse and the Rage, Atlas was gonna be bursting with power and bulk. Atlas didn't agree, he didn't want to sit back and wait, but he did as he was told. He let out an unsatisfied roar as he coiled up tight, his body glowing red as his solid form seemed to grow even more as the curse made him even stronger and bulkier, though even slower yet again. Atlas was mad, he was ready, he was full of mean and wanted nothing more than to erupt an that other Onix once it showed it's big head again.

"Another status attack." Crenu said quietly as he watched it unfold before him. If it wasn't one it was another, honestly he was afraid of another Sleep Powder, but it seemed Erika wanted something more permanent this time. Muk had woken up at just the right time to save himself, but being paralyzed wouldn't make things easy on him in the least. No doubt she had a plan ready to deal with the puddle of sludge once she'd stopped his movements again, but Crenu wasn't going to let her do it. He had a plan as well, and this was one of the reasons he really liked Muk. Such an odd creature with odd abilities, great to play around with and make any situation a good one for him. "Minimize." He said plainly, and Bubbles gurgled up a response with a sloppy oozing grin. Just how the creature did it he wasn't sure, but Bubbles started to compress his body. The sludge was sucked into itself, his over all area and volume got smaller. Bubbles looked more or less the same, but it was clear that he no longer took up the same amount of space he did moments ago. As he shrunk himself the stun spore fell around him, the devious spores wafting erratically all around. A few managed to land on Bubbles, but they quickly dissipated with no real effect. It wasn't the most accurate move to begin with, even more so with a the smaller more evasive Bubbles.

Kasiya's dreams were vivid and unsettling, ans when she finally opened her eyes the following morning, she felt feverish, her heart was racing and she was drenched in sweat. She sat up quickly and threw off the blanket, startling the Minccino that had been cuddled up to her under the covers. Kasiya murmured an apology and tucked Pepper back in before swinging her legs over the side of the bed. she breathed deeply, trying to calm herself as she tried to remember the details of her dream. She couldn't remember anything other than brief flashes of her friends' faces, specifically Mike, Flannery and of course, Keegan. She also knew that there had been some sort of crisis and everyone was panicking, and that there had been fire everywhere, which was probably why she felt so warm now. Once she'd started to feel normal again she stood up, finding annoying that the harder she tried to remember her dream, the more she seemed to forget it.
It was still very early in the morning, as the sun had only just risen. Deciding that Pepper would be okay, Kasiya left her and found her way to the bathroom, or one of them, as Oak's manor/laboratory was really quite impressive and had many rooms. He'd told her to make herself at home so she knew he wouldn't mind if she had a shower. The assault on the Magma base had been two nights ago now but she still felt grimy and and grungy from the volcano, and she wondered if it had been the volcano at the base she'd dreamed about. The thoughts slipped from her mind as the water relaxed her, and she closed her eyes, allowing herself to gather her confidence and courage as she was going to need every ounce of it for today. In an odd, twisted sort of way she was actually almost excited for her pending attack on Giovanni's gym, and she found herself smiling as she once again went over the plan in her mind. It wasn't an actual plan-plan, more of a kick-in-the-door and go from there, and she was honestly hoping that Mai would be there, and Giovanni, too. Let them all be there, she thought as she rinsed the conditioner from her hair. I'll take on every single Rocket on the payroll if it means getting Shocker back.
She finished showering and towel-dried her hair before getting dressed again, and as she adjusted her lightning-shaped pendant around her neck, she realized that she really didn't quite look like a person who was about to embark on a possibly dangerous rescue mission. Her confidence was still strong as she went about the rest of her pre-mission duties, mostly making sure that she and her team of Pokemon were all well-fed and ready to go, though the closer she came to being ready to set out, the more her nerves started to flare up. She took a deep breath, and looked out the window. Professor Oak was playing with Pepper, having become quite fascinated with the strange Pokemon from Unova. The good professor had no idea of what she was planning to do, otherwise she was sure he'd try to stop her. The point of this had been not to tell anyone what she was up to, as the last thing she wanted was to have anyone try to stop her. She wanted to do this alone, and she was going to do it, too.
=-=-=-=-= Erika was more annoyed than upset that Tangrowth's Stun Spore hadn't been effective, but there wasn't a lot she could do about it. Tangrowth was not a good choice to battle a Pokemon like Muk, but sometimes that was unavoidable, especially when you were a gym leader. Despite her annoyance with the current situation, she remained calm, closing her eyes and bowing her head forward slightly. The sun's rays continued to beam down on them and she knew that Sunny Day would soon end and she would lose the boost from the sun. She had to use this last turn to it's fullest, and even though Muk resisted Grass-type moves, the one she had in mind would pack a strong punch before she lost her Tangrowth to the poisonous blob. "Tangrowth, use Solarbeam," she said lightly, and the Vine Pokemon ambled forward, both hands raised as an orb of pure sunlight began to form between them. He gave a hearty cry and fired off the focused beam of solar rays in record time thanks to the reduced charge time from the Sunny Day.

Doe's posture immediately stiffened as she crossed over the threshold into the hotel, the sound of running water filling her ears from a giant fountain in the center of the lobby. She craned her neck to look; not a single penny. The warm light from a massive ornate chandelier wrapped around the room like drapes. Doe looked down her outfit, then her partner's, suddenly feeling like the walls themselves were judging them. She slowly began to unhook herself from Sasha, who looked down at her quizzically.
Sasha had not altered a single thing since walking in, and instead was the one judging. "Not as nice as the one back home." she said with a slight tilt of her head, hoping her aloof tone would disarm Doe's obvious anxiety. It seemed to work, as the girl relaxed back into her cling. The girl's approached the desk, the receptionist greeting them warmly, asking if they had a reservation. Sasha replied by requesting the luxury suite for her and her guest, casually sliding her identification across the counter. "I would like room service at nine," she looked her partner up and down another time. "Make z'hat ten." The receptionist's eyes widened for a second when she realized just who she was serving, and after tripping over her words for a few sentences, assured Sasha that this would not be a problem, and showed them to the elevator.
After a ride up what seemed like a million floors, the two girls entered their room, where once again Doe found herself in awe, staring open mouthed at her new surroundings. She was so entranced that she hadn't noticed that Sasha had tipped the receptionist, grabbed both of their bags and placed them on the nightstand, and was now standing next to her until she felt a slender finger pressing against her chin to close her gaping mouth. Doe looked to the girl, only to find one other detail she missed. Sasha was now standing before her wearing nothing but a devious smile. She gasped softly as the pink haired girl curled her finger, pulling her into her lips like a magnet.
Her lips were soft and unspoiled. Each kiss a conquest, each gasp a victory. Not wasting any more time, Sasha unbuttoned Doe's top and let it fall to their feet. "I'm your first, aren't I?" she whispered, disrobing her partner between kisses. "Perhaps not your first love, but certainly your first girl." With some effort, Doe nodded between gasps. Her lashes fluttering in ecstasy as Sasha continued her campaign. Tracing her tongue lightly across her neck, Sasha lead the now bare girl over to the bed and pressed her down to the sheets with a single touch. "Don't worry." the girl assured as she joined her partner on the bed. "I will take good care of you."

"So Nina, which Gym do you think you're gonna take on first?" Whitney asked as she and the girls began their trek to the Department Store; Science was at her side, making some whirring noises. "I'll be starting with Brock," Nina replied, "and I'll be working in order from there. Initially, I was kinda just gonna battle whoever, but I got to thinking about it a bit more-- I really want to take on these Gyms to help Courtney level up as much as I can, because the experience will be useful for him." Sabrina rolled her neck a little, trying to work out a kink or two that she couldn't quite shake. "Are you sure that you should just jump into a Gym Battle straight away with him, though?" she asked. "I think it might be wise if you tried getting in a few battles with wild Pokemon first; after all, he's only a newborn, so you don't know how he would fare in a simpler battle, let alone a more serious one." Nina replied, "No, I know that. I should've worded that better, I guess-- I didn't plan on jumping in to a Gym Battle with him immediately. No, I'm not going to actually take on Brock until I feel that Courtney is ready enough." Anna floated near her Trainer. "And if he gets in trouble, I suppose that you'll be needing me to help him?" Nina smiled a little bit. "Well, if you would. After all, you've looked after Mihoshi when she was just a baby, and she turned out pretty well, thanks to you." The Ghost Pokemon rolled her eyes a little bit, smiling in response. "Such a burden to look after all these little ones... You know, you'd think they'd return the favor and save my butt every once in a while, but nope! I see how it is. There's no rest for the weary." The girl laughed in response. "Oh, please! You're not the only one-- Krystal shares a lot of the responsibilities too! Plus, I know you won't admit it, but you like being one Pokemon that I look to when I need help. You know that's a fact as much as I do." Vocally, Anna neither confirmed nor denied that-- however, it was true.
Arriving at the Department Store a short time later, Nina led the girls and Science into the elevator, pressing the button that would bring them to the food court. As the doors closed, Whitney's stomach growled loudly; she rubbed it. "Gahhh. I guess I'm more hungry than I thought; I feel like I could eat an Arbok or an Onix or something." Sabrina raised an eyebrow. "You would only want to eat a phallic-shaped Pokemon." "What did you say?!" "Nothing!" Nina snickered as the doors opened and she left the elevator; it was a bit busier in the food court this morning than it was last night when they'd all grabbed dinner. "Any preferences as to where we eat?" Sabrina looked around for a moment; "Oh, what of that place?" she asked, pointing to a place with a simple red-and-yellow sign which read Penny's on it. "As long as they've got food, then that's fine with me!" Whitney exclaimed, bounding over to the establishment and standing at the counter, Science following closely behind.
A blonde, pigtailed waitress in a red-and-white pinstriped outfit was approaching the counter, setting a few small decorations down in various different places along the way. "Hello!" she said. "My name is Anne; how--" the girl cut herself off mid-sentence. "Oh, Ms. Whitney! How nice to see you again so soon!" Whitney grinned as Nina, Sabrina, and Anna caught up with her. "It's nice to see you too, Anne! But, I thought-- weren't you working at the Doublemeat Palace last night?" The girl replied that she was. "The thing about working in this food court, though, is that they kinda move you all around, so you need to learn the innerworkings of pretty much every food joint that they have up here. It can get kinda hectic sometimes, but I'm kinda used to it by now, so it doesn't really bother me." Whitney chuckled. "Good for you, hon. I don't know if I'd be able to handle having to learn to work at so many different places!" Anne shrugged. "It's a pain to get used to at first, but after a while it's not so bad. But anyway, I don't mean to ramble on; what can I get you today?" Nina and Sabrina studied the menu for a few moments; Whitney, on the other hand, was all ready to order. "I'll take a cheese, bacon, and tomato omelette, along with a medium drink." Anne nodded, pressing a few buttons on her register; she looked up. "And how about for you, Ms. Sabrina? Ms. Nina?" Nina smiled-- she was a little surprised that the girl remembered her name. "I'll have a short stack and a medium drink, please." Anne nodded again, pressing a few more buttons. "And for you, Ms. Sabrina?" The girl contemplated for a moment or two more. "I think... I'll have a triple fruit crepe, with raspberries, starfruit, and blueberries as the filling; for my drink, I would like a mocha cappuccino, if you please." With a few more buttons pressed, Anne acknowledged the psychic's order before she grabbed two medium-sized soft drink cups and handed them to Nina and Whitney; "Will you be paying together or separate?" Sabrina took out her clutch, removing an electronic funds card from it which depicted a silhouette of an Alakazam. "We'll be paying together," she responded, handing the card to Anne, who promptly ran it through before returning it to the girl. "Okay, perfect!" she said. "I'll have your food out to you ASAP!" Nina smiled and thanked the girl, before she headed over to the nearby beverage fountain. Deciding on orange juice, Nina filled her cup, while Whitney chose to have a Citrus Blast like she did the night prior; the girls chose a seat at a nearby table and settled in.

Bubbles let out a goopy laugh as the Stun Spore passed, unharmed by the cloud he was foiling the big blue vine mass one move after another. Surely that would teach it who was boss, Bubbles wasn't afraid of anyone or their fancy powders! Crenu, like his Muk, was also feeling good about the battle as a whole. Sure he'd run into a tough spot when Bubbles went under and took a few hits, but he'd quickly turned it around and gotten back to a comfortable standing. He wasn't going to go as far as to say he was on top quite yet, it would be foolish to ever count an opponent out to soon, and clearly Erika wasn't throwing in the towel with her Tangrowth yet. When the command for a Solar Beam was issued, Crenu grit his teeth a bit, the powerful sunlight still filtering in from above not forgotten for a moment. "Brace yourself Bubbles." It was all he could get out before the burst of pure light energy was fired forward, tearing through the air directly for the lump of sludge who could only cross his arms in front of himself. The searing blast met him square in his body, and while resisted it was such a powerful move that the burning beam of light made his body bubble as it pierced through him, dissipating as it burst through his back sending slime splattering about and petering out safely. This would be a truly gruesome sight were it not for the fact that Bubbles was comprised of loosely held together sludge, still blasting a hole in his chest wasn't something that went without consequence. If ever there were a critical strike it was that one, and Bubbles found it hard to solidify from the intense heat radiating from what one could consider his chest, it almost looked like he was melting. He wasn't out, but he was really really hurting, he wasn't going to last much longer against anyone resistant or otherwise. "Answer it back with a Sludgebomb, pull yourself together." Crenu said with a very human growl, and Bubbles roared out as best he could. As the whole in his body started to close up by the runny ooze that made up his existence, he ignored it as best he could while he hocked up a very large amount of putrid, black, poisonous bile firing it directly at his annoying blue foe.

Koffing seemed to be in her element as she goofed around in the smoke cloud; at least that's what Jasper figured she was doing as he couldn't actually see her. The poison type was definitely laughing, and though she had a good start so far, Jasper didn't want to let up. Sure, he was only battling a kid, but at this point, he felt he was on par with said kid, if not a rank or so lower. "Tackle it, Koffing," he said calmly, wondering how his younger opponent was handling the Smokescreen. The floating ball of gas that was Koffing gave another curt laugh, zeroing in on her opponent and flying toward it like a strange, round missile. The poor Rattata couldn't see a thing and was blindsided by the hit, which had perhaps been a critical strike, judging by the way the small thing cried out.
"Stay tough, Rattata!" Billy shouted. "Fight back with a Bite!" The little mouse wasn't about to give up, however and it wheeled around, lashing out with its sharp, sharp teeth. Koffing, in all her attacking brilliance forgot to back off so she was easily close enough for the Bite to land. Her laughter came to an abrupt stop and she started to whimper instead, drifting backward and out of the Smokescreen until she was visible again, at least to Jasper.
"What are you doing?!" Jasper hissed. "Get back in there and fight like a Pokemon!" Koffing continued to whine and floated back until she was almost within arms' length. Her cries were quite pitiful so he pushed against her with his hands for what looked like an incredibly lame volleyball serve. Her momentum now going the other way, Koffing continued to sob loudly, not even bothering to try and stop herself. It was all Jasper could do to stop himself from face-palming.
"Get it with a Tail Whip!" Billy called from the other side of the smoke cloud. There was a moment of pause before the little rat burst out of the smoke like a tiny purple comet, leaping into the air and tucking into a roll. Its tail unfurled midair and it intercepted Koffing, not actually hurting anything but her already smarting pride and she wobbled pitifully to the ground, bouncing like a balloon that had lost most of its helium. * * * * * * * * * * "Bye, Kressen!" Hayley called after him, waving as well. She watched him disappear into the forest before giving a heavy sigh. She closed her eyes and inhaled deeply, and as she exhaled, she was smiling again, her loss to Kressen's Pawniard no longer troubling her. She readjusted her backpack on her shoulder and set off, though she wasn't quite sure of her destination. It felt like hours ago that she'd caught a glimpse of that Pikachu, and she was pretty sure the little yellow rodent wasn't going to just pop out of nowhere because she wanted it to. Staying optimistic wasn't a problem for Hayley and she continued on for a while, keeping her eyes and ears open. It wasn't long before she heard something from the path ahead of her - the sound of a struggle, perhaps? The brunette bravely pressed onward, pausing only to stop and arm herself with a Pokeball before she stepped into a small clearing.
At first glance, it appeared as though a battle was going on, though it quickly became apparent that it wasn't quite it. A pair of rather small Caterpie had been backed into a corner by a rather large Weedle, though it wasn't clear as to what had provoked the larger bug. Regardless, it was obvious that the two little bug Pokemon were in distress. "Hey!" Hayley shouted, stepping forward and dropping her bag onto the ground. "Leave them alone!" The Weedle turned to look at the intruder, its beady little eyes narrowed into a glare. Without warning, it launched a Poison Sting attack, and Hayley was only just able to step aside as the barbs struck the tree behind her. "That's not very nice," she said, now deciding to switch Pokeballs. She'd been intent on sending out Cynder, but she knew that her Nidoran was better equipped to deal with another poison type.
Tisyphone appeared in a flash of light, looking around almost nervously at the forest. It seemed that their company had since parted, though now there were a bunch of bugs in front of her. The Weedle turned its attention from the human to the bluish Pokemon now in front of it, and it gave a shrill little cry before unleashing another barrage of Poison Sting at the female variety of Nidoran.

The poor Dusclops was fretting up a storm not even noticing the other two trainers when his least favorite of Dante's new pokemon popped out of his pokeball. The Virtual pokemon had heard everything and glared at the ghost pokemon, who was now a lot bigger then him. Not putting up with it though the Porygon 2 narrowed his eyes before sending a multicolored beam right into the ghost blasting it back a few paces. Turn A watched as the ghost seemed to snap out of it and glared at him. Still he seemed to have snapped out of it. Seeing that he had the other's full attention the Porygon 2 decided to lay out his plan, after all they had to find their trainer.
The plan was this. Turn A and Xannon were to stay at the pokemon center, to keep track of Apollo and wait for Dante's mother, who had been called the other night, to show up. While they were doing that Kenny would take the evil little dragon and the egg to go find their trainer. Turn A would have loved to be the one to go look for his trainer, he could probably do it a lot better then the stupid ghost but he was also the only one out of Dante's team that could work a phone right and communicate with humans easily. Which meant that as much as he wanted to go he needed to be at the home base in order to be the most effective. The virtual pokemon hummed angrily at the huge ghost as it strapped on their trainers bag, grabbed the egg and gave them one last look.
The two pokemon stared at each other for a while. They each had things to do. Important things to do and each of them, despite the fact that they did not like each other had a feeling they wouldn't see the other in a long time. Both of them nodded to each other as Kenny handed off Turn A's and Xannon's pokeball. It was going to be a long journey and Turn A just hoped that the stupid ghost was up to it. He knew that he was going to have his hands full dealing with holding down the rest of Dante's team and seeing to Apollo's recovery.

Roark frowned when he saw just how big and strong the other Onix was getting. Sure his was faster now but if Jason's Onix managed to hit his it would be doing a lot of damage. The rock gym leader waited as his own pokemon dug his tunnels under his gym wondering where exactly his pokemon would choose to strike from. As he scanned the field he finally noticed what his pokemon was doing and he could only grin. His crafty battle hardened Onix never failed to surprise him, who said that rock pokemon weren't smart? "Enjoy the ride!" Roark called out as he saw the ground cracking under the weight of the other Onix as his own had finally weakened the ground under him enough to the ground to collapse under him. If Jason's Onix landed down there it was going to prove interesting, what with Jason being unable to see what was going on, not that Roark could see either.
