Waking up wasn't too bad, but regaining the wherewithal to remember where she is and what is going is pretty damn terrible.
A bit of nausea blooms in Abbi's stomach, slow and terrible and she immediately stops her bouncing. Thankfully it is darker in here than it might normally have been, but regardless the teen feels god awful. This light, however little, still makes her squint and blink harshly, the hand not asleep coming up to rub at her eyes.
Someone says her name (Oh! Right one of the two girls!) and she tries to turn toward her and stand at attention. That's what you did here, right? But that motion is clumsily maneuvered, the girl's left hand still terribly asleep so that it flops uselessly and she whines instead because this is so confusing.

There is one of the girls suddenly next to her, hands on Abbi's arm in a kind attempt to help her out a little. The fact that the girl had a bandage over one eye was noted, but not spoken of and was carefully avoided even if the teen was crazy curious about it. But the request for a song was quickly executed with...
"C-Cinderella? Not what I was expecting... But uh... Yay?" The girl tried out a smile, her hands coming up to clap together lightly. She passed the smile to the first girl who had massaged her arm, murmuring her thanks since it had helped a lot.
"So is Disney a thing here or is that just for fun?" Whooo, her head kind of ached and actually so did her back and one knee and wow this was kind of terrible feeling.
"Um so... Ok wow how long was I asleep? Where do I go next? Are you two like... My fairy godmothers?"

And what a lovely way to be greeted as well. Vaguely Jack was aware that he should be more on guard, but he was distracted by the fact that there weren't any wires coming out of his back, or that he wasn't coughing up fluid, or that he wasn't being pricked by a needle. Possibly cryogenics, then . . . Hmm. Explained the numbness. He blinked blearily and rubbed at his head, taking a few moments to process what the woman was telling him.

"Mmmhmm," was his first eloquent response as he pulled himself off the floor, moving to smooth out his clothes and hair despite his arms' protest. It was then that Jack noticed he was in a room full of structures--pods indeed--similar to the one he just came out of, all quietly humming, all covered with strange symbols. How odd . . . and how fascinating even to his dulled mind.

One more wrinkle erased, and Jack was smiling his polite little smile, like nothing had happened. "Pleasure," he said by way of a proper greeting this time. "I'll do my best to be attentive, Miss . . . ?"

Ami raised an eyebrow at his sudden change to politeness, but didn't comment on it. "Ami Raine, though it is neither something you need to remember nor something to be commented on."

She tucked her clipboard away, having done this process a million times. "Welcome to Deus Ex Academy. Deus Ex for short. You should remember a recruiter coming and promising you- I don't know, a new life, power- it transform depending on the host."

Rather pointedly, she said, "Whatever the reason, here you are. You'll be trained and equipped to eradicate poignant disturbances- shadows, as you might know them? Those spooky things that go bump in the night as it were."

Nevada chuckled at Stormy's choice of a song before smiling at Abbi.

"Disney is a thing for us, much more for my friend Stormy here. But we are both fans." She let her hands drop as Abbi asked questions before blinking. "Oh right hun! I forgot that we just stumbled along to you now." Clearing her throat out.

"Welcome to Deus Ex Machina, An Island that supports the military organization of hunters that moniter and eradicate the threat know as FEAR. We operate under 5 different divisions in which you will be placed based on yoru ablities." Nevada ahemed, "We'll e taking you to the cove to find your partner, then dropping you off for division assignment where you will get your division and a dorm room. After that, you'll be briefed on your duties and Island life."

Nevada smiled, "And yes we can be your fairy godmothers if you like. Though I'd much prefer to find you later and become friends. Girls are a outnumbered species on the Island."

She looked over at Stormy, "Did...did I miss anything?"

His smile widened just a bit. "Of course, miss."

It wasn't simply at her specific requirements (which, given their height differences, seemed to be even more humorous), but also because the more Ami spoke, the more a niggling though at the back of his head spoke up. It was . . . aha. There had been a secret organization out there! His so-called insane assertions had roots in truth after all.

Oh, it felt good to be special.

"Sounds simple enough," Jack replied, rubbing the feeling back into his arm. "I assume I will get a hefty pamphlet in my mailbox or a lengthy lecture belittling my intelligence until I understand. Now where do we begin on this new delightful journey~?"

Bix looked between them, back and forth, back and forth. He felt like there was a rift there caused by too many years and too many hardships but.. well the albino gave Gale a look. Even if he was emotional, even if he was shocked, THIS WAS HIS SISTER. It wasn't like she chose to be in there that long. But then again he had no idea what their relationship was like before that.

"Two years too long." He smiled pointedly at Gale. "You guys have a lot to catch up on.. but I'm always happy to have a new face in the crowd. Right?" His tone said it and hopefully his bro would pick it up.

Right Gale? Don't be too much like yourself. Don't be angry at things no one can change. Don't be severe. Don't be.. grumpy. Your sister is alive and well and had no decision in this. Not all of us get our siblings back.

Dorian knew Power Rangers.

He got that reference! It was impossible to disagree with, when he thought about it, dark eyebrows quirking, before bursting out in laughter, going up to pat the man's shoulder. This would be a fun one to have - he figured he could consider having another room mate if they were so content like he was.

"Oui. Power Rangers. I call dibs on le blue ranger. Pretty sure I know w'o would be pink." He admitted, scratching his chin a little. "Come on. I will 'elp you move in. I got a lighter, should 'elp wit' le no power."

Solomon chuckled, patting Dory's shoulder in return. "Can I be the white ranger then?" he asked, only partially joking. However, he had to wonder what kind of little lady had just come to mind for the pink ranger. Would he be able to tell who would be the pink ranger right off the bat too?

He'd have to wait and find out.

"Alright. Move in probably won't be too complex, anyways..." Solomon noted. He'd have to find all his stuff, anyways. Not that he'd brought a lot - which wouldn't work out in his favor when the power was out. Oops.

"Lead the way."

A voice, definitely not his mother’s, awoke him more clearly, and Shiloh sat up then, staring. It took him a moment to acclimatize, staring at the three people standing in front of them. Then the woman was asking him questions, ticking things off on her clipboard as she went. Her expression was largely emotionless, but if he had to hazard a guess, he would guess that the look on her face was one of boredom. He watched her curiously for a moment before answering.

“I’m Shiloh, and no, I feel fine. A little tired maybe.” He grinned.

Her next question, however, changed her expression entirely. It mostly confused him.

“Red
 Or blue? I don’t understand.”

But by that time, a second person had stepped up, a man with seemingly green hair. Shiloh shook his head, trying to clear his mind before staring again. Not that he was one to judge, his own hair a pale shade of pink. But still- green? The third member of their party hung back, and Shiloh glanced at him for a moment, before returning his attention to the questioning pair.

“I still don’t understand but if I have to... Blue?”

"If you'd think we'd hold your hand with color coded pamphlets, you're horrendously mistaken," she said with a flat tone, no hint of joke in her voice.

She sighed and turned to the door. "You will leave through that door. You'll be instructed of the rules and consequences of this island, whereupon you will gain a division and a duty. You're a trainee now, or you will be." She summoned her own spear. She felt like showing off a little today. "All hunters acquire a weapon in the cove, which you will be directed to- and before you ask, I'll explain nothing more than that. The experience is different for each individual."

Ami gave him a curious look, smile spreading from ear to ear. "Your stupidity is your own to determine. Belittling becomes of you as much as you allow it to."

"Or happily mistaken, miss," he corrected with an odd grin, "that I do not have to pour through pages of content one lecture wouldn't give me in ten minutes~" An engineer always looked for the most efficient route, after all.

His perpetual smiling faltered with surprised, however, when the woman was suddenly armed before him. Musing, he scanned the spear's markings, noting the symbols there looked to be linked to those he saw on the pods. A language of power, perhaps?

And he would soon be commanding a weapon just like it.

Jack returned her smile, absolutely tickled at the prospect. "As you say," he answered simply, his mind already far away from the conversation. "I am positively oozing eagerness with that description, however. Shall we see what's in store, then?"

"We will do nothing," she said pointedly, gesturing to the door with a swift flick of her hand. "Once through that door, a leader or a lab tech will explain the finer details. Pray you get a leader." The lab techs were ...

Ami shuddered. "I have to stay here. So get out. If you need help getting out, assistance will be provided." Not from her of course. God be damned if Ami was going to help. Still, a lot of trainees had shaky legs right out of the pod. You could never be too careful.

"Oh." He looked like a forlorn puppy for a moment. "Okay."

"Szczeosny Brzenczyszczykiewicz," he introduced himself in turn. He gave Milo a nervous sort of half-smile and offered a tentative handshake back. "Uh, do not vorry to pronounce it. DzieƄ dobry, Milo."

He rooted around in his pocket for something. A piece of paper he unfolded, still crisp from how few times it had been looked at. The beginner's guide to dealing with new recruits. "Ah. Vell, you cannot be hunter vithout veapon. You must go to the veapon cove."

"Uh." He glanced at Milo over his paper, trying to assess if he could walk in a straight line. His brows knitted in mild concern. "... Vhen you are ready, yes?"

Was that a name? Yes, apparently it was a name to go along with the accent, Milo realized with a very flat stare as their hand shake and introductions were completed. "Ola," he responded still, treating it as if the other boy had sneezed. Cliche, whatever.

He was going to take up pronouncing that name properly as a challenge though, one he accepted mentally with a visual determined grin. Maybe not the last name, hopefully that was the last name but the first name yes.

Milo watched curiously as Szczeosny riffled through his pockets for something, his eyes narrowing slightly as the paper was produced only to widen once again, perhaps even with a twinkle. "Veapon?" He mimicked, a giddiness in his tone. Well of course, what was a champion of justice without their veapon? He just didn't know they would get some.

"What kind of weapons do we get?" Oh yes, rather giddy now and so ready to make a break for it (even though he didn't know where he would be going) but he remembered those first two steps and took a very careful third one to be sure his legs had ceased feeling like jell-o. Yes, things seemed to be study now.

"Ready when you are Shejeshny," (haha, phonetic) That was close right? Seemed like it. Milo placed a hand on the other Hunter's shoulder, partly in a sign of good faith and also just in case he wasn't as steady as he thought. But all the same, was ready for him to lead him on to this cove.

'A little ti' was all Mimsy wrote before she remembered that she never had any intention of recording that information. She took a deep breath and fully returned her attention to the newly awakened man instead.

"Hello, Shiloh," she greeted him. "My name is Mimsy, and my associates - Lucky and Quinn - and I are here to ensure that you are safely awakened and pointed in the right direction."

Which was obviously why she was being as confusing as she could manage. She pointed to each Lucky and Quinn as she introduced them, and pretended to check more items off of her list. The paper looked like it had suffered multiple attacks from ink pens at this point.

"'Don't understand'...and 'blue'..." A little 'tsk' sound left her mouth as she scribbled down nonsense. "We will explain everything in time. Please answer as quickly as possible, and try not to feel concerned. Did you know that emotion causes a significant bias in verbal responses?"

The quick glance she gave to Lucky said 'your turn', and the flash of a hopeful smile to Quinn said 'please let me get away with this'.
