Thing is, with lightning and electricity, it doesnt exist unless it has a path to follow. lightning shoots jaggedly like that because it follows slightly different polarities in the molecules in the atmosphere. If there is no path for it to follow, it doesn't move. No destination, no leaving the station.

Just like everything in nature the electrical charges seek to create a balance. negative plus positive equals neutral. Thats why lightning seeks to escape into the earth is because of the opposing charges, it creates a balance. But if there is no way for the circuit to complete it won't follow through.

The way I'm seeing it is if the disc was insulated right that, and a bolt of electricity or lighting shot towards it, it wouldn't even 'think' about targeting the insulated disc. It would just skip on over and discharge into the nearest Item that CAN ground it...the ground.

Two words. Bleach physics.

However.. I will refute that last paragraph.
Insulating something doesn't make it charge-proof. Metal is a conductor, meaning the lightning travels into it. It's the same concept as a capacitor, where it hold energy until it is touched
.
And lightning exists without having a set path, the bolt you see is the expression of that path, but it existed beforehand.

Oh. LOL. I'm not disputing it shouldn't work in RP. No worries there, I understand that. This in my head has moved into RL.

Thing is I was just reading up on it right now to check on what I was thinking(my only previous education came from 5th grade lol) But I checked several sources, and yes while you can change lightnings path by providing it with a better path, allowing it access to it's target more swiftly, then it'll take it. but the only way the lightning would go into said insulated disc would be if you ionized it previously, one of the main theories on how lightning already forms. Because since you ionize the target, when the lightning discharges into it it would equalize.

But either way. The main concept behind electricity is that it needs a circuit of somekind, or it needs to correct a balance

basically, ur right, doesn't make it charge proof, but it does discourage lightning from targeting it and instead encourages it to find somewhere else to strike.

lol, I know this.
This is why I ionized that disc before shocking it. wink

That's sad if you think it's the same. <_<

I would hate winning by default, which might end up doing, cause, Haseo won't fight. :c

Lucky you Red you got your fight with Hymn, I been watching it and enjoying it.

I like how he just arced electricity across his heart.
Indeed. Very creative.

Haha lol well that works, I read your post when u first posted it so I don't remember that much detail lol.

I wasn't complaining or attacking your accuracy or anything earlier, but now I feel moved to commend you for your accuracy to the laws of physics as close as they can be kept in a Bleach RP. Kudos. Many people don't try nearly that hard to put in the mechanics behind their abilities and attacks.

So creative, in fact, he could die!

Oh wait, that would be the million volts of electricity cooking his sodium-potassium pump.

Now Now. Lets be fair. Should he have taken a harder hit? Yes. Should he die from it? No. He is captain class after all and in her previous post she did state it shouldn't kill him.

Also, even though it is her kido at such a short range, once it enters his body and he spent the reiatsu to gain control of it's shocking potential he would then be in control of it. Would it still damage? Yes. Destroy and kill? No.

Bound lightning is after all about using ur reiatsu to guide the electricity. At least that is how I've always seen it taught, and how it was taught to me. I'm not sure, but especially if he is a kido expert he should be able to do something along those lines. Just saying.

It wouldn't kill him in the past post, because initially it was taking the shortest path to the ground IE. Through his Right arm, down the right side of his chest, through his shoe, and to the ground. Do note, it never passes his heart.

Now, by raising his hand up, he created an alternate path for the electricity. And the electricity takes both routes. The alternate path being: Down his right arm, across his lung, heart, other lung, and through his left arm.

THIS, would kill him. It's the same as putting a defib unit on the heart of someone who's already living and having no trouble with their heart and hitting them with as high a charge as the Defib has.

HOPE YOU ALL READ THE UPDATE IN THE ANNOUNCEMENTS! I WON'T BE LENIENT IF YOU HAVEN'T TAKEN THE TIME TO READ WHAT'S THERE.

Now, get back to posting. You have less time then you think to try and conclude your matches.

That is all.
