I said nothing as I watched Akira. I became alarmed when he seemed to be in pain. I instantly walked over to him and rested my hand gently on his arm. "Akira? Akira are you all right?" I asked worriedly. I waited a few moments. "What was strange?" I asked after a few minutes of silence.

That's when I sighed, "Sorry about what happened... I just want... To know you, that's all."

I sighed a bit. "How can I not worry? You're my friend Akira." I was silent as Akira spoke again. "I understand, there are somethings that I am just not ready to let go of yet. You do understand, don't you?"

I smiled, "I understand..." Meanwhile, I thought, 'What are you hiding, Hotaru?'
That's when I heard Shinichi.
(Shinichi)
I asked, "Hey, you guys all right?"

I smiled and nodded. As Shinichi spoke I glanced over at my door. "Of course we are." I answered.

I looked between the two boys and nodded in agreement. "But it's the past now so everything is all right." I chirped.

I smiled and nodded. "I'll be out in a few minutes." I said pushing Akira out of my room gently. I shut the door and leaned against it. That was too close for comfort. I sighed and ran a hand through my hair.

It was then, I felt a wave of sadness and helplessness. I sighed, "I... I can't afford to lose any more of the people I care for..."
(Shinichi)
I sighed, "You... You lost someone other than Natsume?"
(Akira)
I nodded grimly. I sighed, "I don't want to talk about it right now... It's... Making me depressed."

I stood in my dark room for a moment then moved over to the stereo and quickly pushed play. Every Little Thing's song Future World blasted from the speakers as I started to cry. I never liked it when others knew I cried. I got a picture from my night stand and held it close to me. I had made a mistake once before and now I had to pay the price. I wanted to tell Akira but I couldn't. I couldn't let go of my darkest fear and secret.

I left Akira at Hotaru's door, looking disturbed. I sighed, "I can understand losing one person is painful, but losing two? Akira's really devestated right now..."

That's when tears began flowing from my face. I sobbed, "Why do all the people close to me die?"

I cried bitterly onto the picture while using the music to hide it. Things weren't going the way I wanted them to. Suddenly I threw the picture at my stereo and both fell to the ground crashing loudly. I didn't care though who noticed it. Right now I wanted nothing more than to be free from the guilt.

I remained curled in my little ball until I felt the tears dry. Slowly I raised myself up and wiped the traces of the tears away. I opened my door and was surprised to find Akira still there. "A....Akira?"
