"I'm not sure how well Mum would take to that..." He admitted."As nice as it would be... Thank you, anyway" Oukami gave her a grin and a coy shrug."You all right? You look cold"

'I am, a little.' She admitted shyly, hugging her arms around herself as she gazed out at the lake, 'But it's alright.'

"H-Here, err... I'll... I'll warm you up?" He offered thoughtlessly. He almost chickened out, but, after a second or two, put an arm around her shoulders.

She had thought about protesting but found herself strangely open to the gesture. After hesitating she scooted a bit closer, allowing him to get his arm fully over her shoulders and leaning into the embrace a little. Inoke chewed on her lower lip, closing her eyes while the rain pelted the pair but not finding she cared about the chill. She said a quiet 'Thank you'.

"It's ok" He whispered back, staring out to the lake again. He was not sure what had possessed him, but could only think of how lucky he was that she had not pulled away and slapped him.

Inoke's expression was almost glowing as she leaned against Oukami slightly, enjoying, for a change, the sound of the rain and the feeling of closeness she had seldom shared with another dysadin.

Oukami relaxed, holding Inoke in his arms, and feeling close to her the way he had never done with Halima. He was smiling slightly, trying not to panic as he realised that he had fallen for her.

The two sat huddled together on the log for some time before rain and the late hour finally beckoned for them to head back to the village, Inoke allowing Kami to stay the night at her and her mother's again.

A DRK portal opened deep in the woods and a heavily bundled-up Goosie stepped out, pulling her boyfriend along for the ride involuntarily. All around them the sounds of insects, birds, and the faint smell of flowers and nature were detectable while the portal snapped shut behind the pair. The heat was intense compared to the cold ice planet they'd just left behind, it thickened the air as the sun beat down through the forest canape; the cooler rainy season appearing to have finally ended. She let go of his hand, tramping a short way through some brush to stand by a large boulder and look out at the island below from the edge of the cliff they appeared to be on. She had ported them to the higher terrain, relatively far from the village. Finding it too hot to be bundled up, she began slipping off her winter coat and tugging on her scarf and gloves.

"Goosie! We need to go back!" Bristan insisted, shuddering from the pain of being dragged through the DRK portal."They're gonna be worrying. Come on"

Dropping her excess layers at her feet, Goosie leaned against the rock and said a quiet 'You can go back if you want.'

'A portal can open anywhere.' Goosie said, her hand lingering by her necklace, still instinctively searching for the missing pendant. '...Probably safer without me there...sorry.'

She sighed, apparently not satisfied with that answer. The blonde let herself slip down to her knees, laying her head against the rock and closing her eyes. 'Not really.' Goosie finally said softly, looking out at the island again through the foliage. She reached up, touching the leaves on a vine gently. '...I don't want to be there...okay? So you can go or you can stay...I just...didn't think I'd ever be here ag--...and I didn't think...I'd ever see them again...' She choked the words out, finding it difficult.
