C O M E T S T R E A MHow long must i stay frozen?♢♦♢♦♢♦♢♦♢♦♢♦♢♦♢♦♢♦♢♦♢♦♢♦♢♦♢♦♢ [Cometstream felt sudden words pierce her mind. "It was Cometstream who killed her, not us." [The she-cat held back a snarl or hiss. She couldn't help it, and the memory was overwhelming, considering the she-cat had gone to starclan. She bristled. Surely, dreams would come soon of the dead queen. She tried to look relaxed, worrying greatly about how Galestar would explain the situation that happened.]

F o a m p a w______________________________ [Foampaw's gaze traveled over to the rock where a large and rather handsome cream coloured cat with a brown face was standing. He was obviously a leader, but apparently he was not 'Willowstar' as Trouttail had said.] [She opened her mouth to say something, only to be cut-off by the deep booming voice of what appeared (and smelled) to be the leader of Nightclan. She waited quietly as each the leaders went through their announcements. She appeared almost crestfallen when Mossstar had not personally mentioned her. Sure, she had reffered to her as Trouttail's first apprentice, but her name was not mention. Snorting softly in mild annoyance, she thought; ] 'she mentions my new siblings, and she says the names of my (now) fellow apprentices, yet not me? Am I not a cat worthy of being mentioned clearly in our clan's announcements? Am I not worthy enough to have my name?' [With each thought that raced through her mind, she gradually became more and more upset.] [Trying to ignore the bitter taste in her mouth from her harsh thoughts, she looked over to Trouttail, to see his gaze locked on Mossstar. As well it should, but...not with the normal look he usually carried upon his face. Something darker, something of which she had only seen traces of upon her mentor's face before. Suddenly he winced, as though in pain. She padded over to him, then whispered under her breath: ] "...Are you alright mentor?" ______________________________ Is it not better to remain silent, than to lie?

F o a m p a w______________________________ [Foampaw stared at him, not quite believing him fully, but figuring there was probably no chance of him telling the truth.] "The leader that just went? She said that everything is well with them, they have a new warrior and a new medicine cat apprentice. Their new warrior's father has joined them, and that overall, they came back rather healthy." [She paused, wondering how on EARTH she had remembered that all. Oh well, she must obviously be much smarter than she had previously thought herself to be. Hahaha, she must be the smartest cat in all the clans! She smiled sheepishly to herself.] "Then we get back maybe you should go straight to sleep. I want to go see more of the forest, and I want to learn how to catch land prey. I really won't accept a 'headache' as an excuse" [She laughed, her voice light and playful.]

F o a m p a w______________________________ [Foampaw watched Trouttail look back to the silver-pelted leader without saying anything.] "a-ah...o-okay" [She muttered, then looked around at the other cats that had arrived at the gathering. She rose from her spot on the ground beside her mentor and padded off.] [She watched the rest of the gathering from her new spot, where none of the other cats resided, well, except for the fact that it was rather close to the blue and gold cat that had arrived at Seaclan earlier.] [She huffed to herself. As mercurial as she was, she was starting to believe Trouttail had a pretty capricious behavior as well.]

D u s k p a w“Never give up on something that you can't go a day without thinking about.”_____________________________[Duskpaw shuffled on her paws, aimlessly--yet uneasily--swiping the clearing with her golden-olive gaze. What a Gathering it was. So much to grieve, so much to celebrate, so much to discuss. She sat where most of the BreezeClan cats had huddled, like the other Clans, separating themselves from the others. The apprentice of BreezeClan's new leader swallowed hard, wondering who to speak to first. Leopardpaw of NightClan? The golden tabby seemed nice enough, but she seemed busy speaking with a tom apprentice from StormClan. Duskpaw blinked, having not seen the tabby tom before. She'd have to find out later, though. Her eyes wandered from one cat to another, really finding it hard to imagine herself trying to speak to any of them. Finally, she sighed, halfly giving up, before her gaze was drawn to a she-cat sitting a little farther off from the SeaClan patrol, and next to the famous Caesar. Duskpaw blinked, wondering if the she-cat felt the same way about such massive crowds of cats. Hesitating, Duskpaw stood up and padded over to the she-cat. She was an apprentice, she could tell, but much younger than herself. She brightened slightly, hoping to make a good impression, even though her pelt prickled slightly with unease. Hopefully the brown and gray she-cat wouldn't be a nasty one.]
“Uh, hey there. I'm Duskpaw of BreezeClan, and Galestar's apprentice. I haven't seen you around SeaClan before. I presume you are a newly-made apprentice, right? How're you faring with everything happening in the Clans? And how're you yourself?”
[She settled beside the younger she-cat, tail curling at her paws and she blinked down to look at her. Only then did Duskpaw notice how big she was compared to all the other apprentice's. Her heart fluttered at the thought of her approaching warrior ceremony. It wouldn't be long now, but only if Galestar felt up to it. Nonetheless, Duskpaw waited for the fellow apprentice's reply.]

C O M E T S T R E A MHow long must i stay frozen?♢♦♢♦♢♦♢♦♢♦♢♦♢♦♢♦♢♦♢♦♢♦♢♦♢♦♢♦♢ [Cometstream huffed, looking off at Duskpaw and the other cats, chatting happily.] Even apprentices can get along with others better than i? That makes me nothing more than a kit! [She sighed. Not a medicine cat anymore, barely even a clan cat anymore, she'd need to make friends, and fast.] Best to start in breezeclan...you know what'll happen if you make friends with another clan's cats... [Cometstream hesitantly slunk over to Jaywing and sat next to him.] "If you're so desperate for a mate, a gathering might not be the best place to start." [The she-cat offered. She had seen both ends of a seperated-clan relationship, and neither ended well.]

F o a m p a w______________________________ [Foampaw's sharp blue eyes glanced at the cat. The she-cat's scent was vaguely... Breezeclan? she knew it was one of the two she had visited prior.] [She watched the she-cat with a steady gaze.] "...yes, I am a new apprentice, I was appointed just yesterday" [She said, and adjusted herself into a more...regal position.] "I am Foampaw of Seaclan, Trouttail's apprentice" [Foampaw nodded over towards her mentor, who was still sitting where she had left him.] "I'm fine, but I don't really understand much of what's going on. I haven't exactly been a 'part of the clan' for very long. I only just started coming out of the nursery den about a moon ago"

D u s k p a w“Never give up on something that you can't go a day without thinking about.”_____________________________[Duskpaw watched the little she-cat, intrigued by her mature behavior. Still, she wouldn't try to impose and ask questions...Too many, at least. As for now, she'd try to help. Shifting so that she sat up a bit straighter, Duskpaw watched the other cats in the clearing.]
“Still, you're more part of your Clan than many warriors, and leaders, may I add...Anyway, you'll get the hang of things as you age. No need to rush, either. StarClan knows I want to be a kit again...”
[Duskpaw smiled subtly at Foampaw, wondering what the younger she-cat had going through her mind. Though she winced inwardly at her own words. Actually, she somewhat did want Galestar to rush the Clan back to camp, so she could perhaps consult him about her training and hopefully convince him for an assessment. Her paws restlessly kneaded the ground for a moment before remembering that she was still beside Foampaw. She didn't want to look like an anxious freak in front of her, of course. Regardless, she sighing and turned to her once more.]
“So, anything new with your clanmates?” [Her tone was a bit more casual, a hint of exhaustion chiming in it.] “StarClan knows mine are either running away or hurting others or spitting demeaning insults, and over the stupidest things.”
[She sighed gruffly, her head hanging low as she shook it slowly, muttering soft curses towards the love-stricken toms of BreezeClan.]____________________________

F o a m p a w______________________________ [Foampaw's mind immediately replayed the image of Robinsong. Had the she-cat's eyes always been so dark and vicious? Her laugh always a cold-blooded cackle? Foampaw didn't know, but her heart pounded viciously in her chest, threatening to explode.] "......n-no. Not much is going on." [She insisted, focusing on the ground in front of her.] "I mean, my mom had a new litter, and I got made an apprentice, but other than that, no- not much." ______________________________ Is it not better to remain silent, than to lie?

D u s k p a w“Never give up on something that you can't go a day without thinking about.”_____________________________[Duskpaw was suprised to hear the amount of fear in Foampaw's voice. She hesitated, arguing with herself whether to question any further or withdraw. She resolved that it, again, wasn't her business what was happening in SeaClan. Duskpaw glanced at Foampaw, wondering what could really be happening back at her camp.]
“Well, that's good. Kits are always something to be happy about...You think you can mentor them once you're a warrior?”
[She quickly changed the subject onto Foampaw's younger siblings. Hopefully that would brighten the apprentice. Something was really frightening her, Duskpaw could tell from experience, and she didn't want to worry the apprentice now, especially at her first Gathering.]____________________________

F o a m p a w______________________________ [Foampaw was glad for the subject change, but why her siblings? Wasn't she much more interesting?] "The question is, do I WANT to mentor one of them." [She laughed, sounding as if she was joking, but in actuality she was dead serious.] "besides, something tells me that when I get my first apprentice, they're gonna be very very special. Well, I mean, more so than usual for having me as a mentor" ______________________________ Is it not better to remain silent, than to lie?

H a w k p a w“Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow.”___________________________[Hawkpaw blinked over at Leopardpaw, his gaze lightening up. The golden tabby was always warm and welcoming. She could brighten anyone's day. Hawkpaw blinked in greeting.]
“Hey, Leopardpaw!” [He called to her as she approached. He tilted his head from one side to the other, actually happy to speak to someone for once.] “I've got some good news about Thunderflight, actually. She's sitting vigil right now as we speak, which is why she didn't come to the Gathering, as Silverstar said. And like my leader said, StormClan's doing fine. Aside from the stuff Fathom reported, how are things in NightClan? And how're you?”
[He chuckled to himself, suprised by his own energy. Perhaps it was because he knew how close he was to becoming a warrior. Perhaps it was because of the bitemarks still healing in his back, and the fact that he got them from battling a lion, and winning. The thought jogged his memory.]
“Oh, and how're your wounds from the journey? I know it was a while ago, but StarClan knows mine are still healing...And...When do you think your warrior ceremony will be? You deserve one just as much as Thunderflight did.”
[Hawkpaw shuffled on his paws with unease. He didn't want to mention that his own ceremony was close, yet still perhaps moons away. It made him eager, really. Being the same age or even older than most newly-made warriors made him feel...stupid, really. But of course, he didn't mind it now. It was always fun to gossip with other Clan cats. Hawkpaw averted his gaze to Duskpaw as she approached, wondering who the golden-brown she-cat was.]___________________________

D u s k p a w“Never give up on something that you can't go a day without thinking about.”_____________________________[Duskpaw let out a subtle purr, half out of kindness, half anxiety. Foampaw was a strange one, she had to admit. She nodded to her words.]
“Good point. I'm sure whatever kit gets you as a mentor will be more than honored...You sure don't sound your age--in a good way...”
[Duskpaw let out an awkward laugh. StarClan knew how horribly she concealed her emotions now. Perhaps it was because Owltalon wasn't around much anymore. Had he really left the Clan? No. Duskpaw knew it wouldn't be like the tom to just leave without a word. He could just need some alone time... Anyway, Duskpaw stood up, fluffing her pelt, and turned to Foampaw.]
“Well, I'll be going. I haven't been to a Gathering in moons. I might as well meet some of the other apprentices and warriors while I can. You should too...Anyway, take care, Foampaw.”
[She lightly nodded in farewell to the younger apprentice before padding off, into the crowd of cats. It was only when she was surrounded by warriors that she remembered she didn't like to socialize. But Duskpaw didn't want to look like a weakling now, of all times. She sighed, regaining her composure, before padding up to Leopardpaw and Hawkpaw. She waved her tail in greeting and stood beside the two as they conversed.]
“Greetings Leopardpaw. You may not know me, but I've heard much about you from my Clan's warriors. And hello...tom-who's-name-I-do-not-know,” [She chuckled, sitting down in front of the couple of apprentices, her eyes warm and lips curving into a slight smile. Somehow, she felt comfortable with these two.] “I'm Duskpaw of BreezeClan, Galestar's apprentice. Nice to meet you both.”
“Hawkpaw of StormClan, Icestorm's apprentice. And, likewise.” [The tabby tom nodded in greeting, dark golden eyes missing nothing as he flashed a grin.]
[Duskpaw smiled back, feeling happy that there were still some normal apprentices. She turned to Leopardpaw to hear what she had to say, since as she came up to them she'd heard Hawkpaw asking her questions, and the last thing Duskpaw wanted was to interrupt anything.]____________________________
