Remus thought about what he wanted. He didn't want to order something too over the top and burn a hole in the Lieutenant's wallet. Besides, he wanted this to be an enjoyable experience.
"I suppose I'll go with the lasagna then." Remus replied to Vii.

With a nod and a split second later, Vii was in the kitchen. It would take a few moments for their meals to be freshly created and secretly Vii hoped the strong wine would help to ease the situational jitters.
Returning to the dining room Vii plopped onto the couch next to Skutz, wondering what ailed him.
"Are you alright Skutz?" She asked quietly

"Oh hum," Skutz said, "yea I'm fine, just a bout of tired legs. I track the entire Training Dimension earlier and it's catching up to me." He stretched, "I'll be fine in awhile, thanks." Skutz smiled to Vii.

"Yes, I've been doing alright. You know, dealing with various issues. Certainly gets stressful after awhile. How about yourself, Kaok?"

"Oh is that all?" she asked eyeing the small glass of blood and wondering momentarily what it would do to someone infused with Lycan powers.
Making a face like she was thinking of a list she spoke again. "We have many things to alleviate the pain of muscle fatigue." She pointed to the bar and then to the smoking section in the opposite corner of the two.
"I don't think you'll find it in a raspberry tea, however. So what do you say you let Dr. Vii here help you?" Her mischievous smirk should have given her away but she composed herself carefully. Pressing a button on the Jukebox a romantic slow danced out of the box the lights over the dance floor responded to dim slightly illuminating a spotlight on the center.

"Yea, you'd think I wouldn't be tired," Skutz explained, "but experiencing the different elements in one day would say otherwise, all those extremes to meet." Skutz took a sip of his tea, "it might not make the soreness go away, but it tastes good. Sure, I could go for a checkup." He set his tea down and watched the tavern's atmosphere change.

"A... sergeant of mine was recently promoted." Lt. Jayim shrugged. "Twice. Now he's my boss. Other than that, relatively little has happened. Oh, and I guess I'm having a date with an Emperor. Interesting stuff, huh?"
She felt less heat in her face and decided that it was probably a good idea to put her goggles up. Although now she'd have those marks around her eyes where they'd been for a while.I know I'm coughing

"Would you like the herbal or liquid antidote to ailments?" Vii asked while glancing in the direction of the Lieutenant and the Emperor. She was happy that they were taking a step in a good direction. It had been quite the duel. Well fought on both sides. Returning her attention to Skutz she rose and awaited his choice.

"Well that certainly is something. I'm not sure how I would feel to have a subordinate become a superior. However, I personally find it fascinating that I'm on a date with an officer of the Gaian army. Life is certainly unexpected."
Remus' stomach fluttered as Kaokie's eyes came into view.

I find it fascinating, too, though my exact words would be 'what the hell were you thinking and how the hell could I be so lucky'.
"I'm not sure how I feel about it, and I'm going through it. The kid deserved it, of course. He's good at what he does, but-." She stopped.

Remus nodded in agreement. He looked around for a second, and noticed that the Tavern was practically empty, except for Skutz. However, there was a rather slow song playing and a lonely dance floor.
"You want to dance?" the Imperator asked, not being able to make eye contact.

Question ran through the tavern doors, panting. "Guys, I..." He shut himself up when he noticed the somewhat-romantic lighting and the couple sitting at the table in the corner. 'THAT, is what separates me from Exodus. If I were him, I wouldn't have even cared.' He sat down at the tavern, keeping his distance from the Emperor and his date. 'That demonic invasion can wait, anyway.'

Vii mixed the herbs in a small bowl until the paste was a blackish red. It smelled very strange but the sweet smeel of hunoey suckle and peach was all it tasted like. She brought the table and the Hookah and lit the coal, handing Skutz his own hose. Gripping her own the Vampire breathed in the herbal remedy, testing it for Skutz. In circles the smoke came out and Vii smiled almost purring.
"Yes, this will make you feel wonderful. You go ahead and I am going to get the lovely couple their meals." She said flitting off to the kitchen and returning to the Private booth.
"Here you go. Enjoy!" She said, placing the Parmesan on the table with the grater for them, and refilling their not-nearly-empty-enough glasses.
"Is there anything else I can get you for now?" She asked patiently subconsciously regretting interrupting his efforts to dance with her. Oh well, there is many slow songs in my collection.
