He ran his fingers across the tatoo as gently as he could. "I... i don't know what that feels like...." he said to her. But he did know the internal pain that man inflicted on Valor himself... and somehow he always made it seem like Valor needed him more than he needed Valor... he was starting to catch on... to see it was all just lies....

She shied away from his hand, afraid he would hurt her again, but she strangely also wanted to press against it, wanting find some kind of comfort in it. "Please, just let me go." she begged as she looked up at him again. "I don't want to hurt anymore."

He furrowed his brow uncomfortably and tilted his head gently. " I can't do that.... but... I can.... make things.... not hurt... I know a place.... were you can stay... and I can get what I need from you without his involvement..." his thoughts were broken. He wasn't used to talking. It was hard to convey his ideas...

She nodded her head quickly. "I'll do anything you want, just please don't let me go back to that place." A hint of hope flashed in her eyes, her body slowly relaxing under his.

He sighed and stood lifting her up bridal style. " There's a town nearby... And I've bought an appartment there without my father's knowing... for the over night hunts... If I keep you there will you promise to stay inside? At least for awhile... you don't look like everyone else... I'd hate for you to get hurt again so close to freedom..." he looked almost pained. this was all so odd to him.

She nodded and blushed a little at how he was holding her, making her cheeks turn a very light purple instead of red. "I promise not to go anywhere." She put an arm around his neck to help suport some of her weight and placed her other arm along her stomach. "Thank you."

It was a longer trek than he;d made it seem, but he didn't falter in the least. Up a flight of stairs and into a door.... the place was almost empty save a fullsize matress, some sheets the generic bathroom and simple kitchen. "I sopose you could decorate... if you wanted too... " he said setting her gently on the bed and rubbing the back of his neck. what am I thinking? what am I doing?

She nodded and looked around, pulling her knees to her chest while doing so. "Thank you for not taking me back, and for letting stay here." Her voice was soft, almost not wanting to be heard. "I won't be any more trouble then I already am." I'm going to get him hurt. She thought as she looked around again. "What will you do if he asks you to start looking for me?"

He looked down at her with sleepless eyes. " I guess I'll move you... I might have to cut off some of your hair... tell him you're dead." he said half thinking of faking his own death to escape his grasp.

She looked up at him again and nodded, moving off of the bed. "Please sleep. I won't go anywhere but you look more tired now that you can relax." She moved a little more away from the bed and looked down at the floor.

He looked at her. His hand tembling a little as he thought about giving into the temptaition, it had beed 32 days since he'd slept. " I can't sleep" he finally said with a sigh.

His eyes were rimmed in fear though. "I-I can't.... sleep brings bad things... " he said biting his lip clenching his fist.

She nodded and stopped pushing him to sleep. "Alright, I understand." She herself didn't know how to react to big rooms, and had a problem not knowing where everything was. "I'm going to look around a little more." She said in a whisper as she started to roam around the apartment, slowly learning where everything was and slowly starting to remember how some electronics worked.

He followed her around, not because he was afraid she'd run but because he was afraid she'd teleport outside of the house or burn herself on the toaster. He'd never really had something to care about and now it was hitting him fast like a wave. He wasn't sure how to act, but she hadn't rjected him yet so... maybe he wasn't doing so bad. Even as a mutant, a teenage boy had certain ... urges.
