Hmmm....I have no idea about homecoming with my school. I think only the younglings get hyped about that stuff. I wonder if I'll go to prom this year. Might as well if I'll be forced on to the committee. I haven't worn a dress since fourth grade for my grandpa's funeral.
For the eighth grade graduation ball I wore: - A black shirt with grungy pink letters saying: "MySpace ruined my life" - a black and blue H.I.M. hoodie - black Dickies - black canvas shoes - a black and white striped tie - and matching blue armwarmers 3nodding What have you guys done for "fancy" school functions?

Hm, at my school we have 6 dances a year in 7th and 8th grade. But those are just jean&tshirt things. But it's been fancy dresses for me for homecoming, winter formal, and prom for two years now. (My school is so small that freshmen and sophomores come to school dances.)

I think you've talked about that before. My grade is the smallest grade in out high school with 92 kids. The biggest is the freshman class with 97...
(Also, I'm about to respond to your review for my fic. I post it in the fanfiction and character thread.)

Ah and see the only Formal things my old school had was Prom and Band Banquet. That was formal. I wasn't in band of course as I hated it in middle school and wasn't about to put myself through another 4 years of torture. I had braces in middle school and was trying to play the flute. So didn't happen.

Rosto Wow, my school only has like fifty kids in grade if even that. ;~;
Sounds similar to my boyfriend's old Highschool. There was like 10 Seniors total and I think it might be a little more but it's close enough. Ironically there was only like 2-3 girls. Then on a cruise to the Bahama's all of his classmates who had gone which were just guys I think got wasted on the ship. They were always mixing drinks even though they were underage here they weren't in the Bahama's but they apparently trashed the ship as well. My boyfriend didn't do that because he wasn't stupid but oh how happy he was. He doesn't like his classmates so anything they get in trouble over he loves. He also got $50 as reimbursement while no one else did because they broke the terms of agreement.

Wow, I feel so alone now, my school was huge, our freshman class had about 248 kids in it, and that was just slightly above average.
As for dances, I always dressed nice and snazzy, including suit jacket and tie, though most of my clothing would be off my body by the end of the dance (it gets hot when you are in a room with over 300 people.)

We had a bunch of dances if you want to get technical. We had these Lion's Dens after the home football games which had games pizza and a Dj not many people danced though. The actual school dances were our Homecoming Dance which we usually had at our school cafeteria, our Sweetheart Dance which was only started two years ago and sucked. Our Principal was one of those who didn't think you should be allowed to bring Kid's from other schools in which was a pain. A lot of students had boyfriends/girlfriends who attended a different school and it bugged us not being able to bring them. The Principal we had my last two years of high school was just horrible.

I am super happy right now! (ignoring my fanfiction frustration)
Today during lunch, I was talking to one of my friends while I was working on my TP FanFic. She asked me what I was writing and I explained to her that it was a TP fanfic. Then she told me that because of what I said about the books during our SAT class, she went to Barnes and Noble after the class and got the Song of the Lioness books. She's already finished the first book and she loves it! Now I have someone to talk to about the books at school! It's awesome cause she wants to know who Alanna ends up with, but I'm not telling. twisted
