Kaiba nodded, frowning upon noticing how the once tough and proud person he knew seemed so small and dependable now. He was now regretting not killing that Midori guy, "Yes, let's go home now." he said, opening the car door for Jounouchi.

Jounouchi got into the car and immediately snuggled against Seto once the brunette had gotten into the car. He needed gentle, human contact. Sighing softly, he gently nuzzled his partner's neck.

Kaiba let Jounouchi lean on him as he started up the car, using a free hand to gently brush Jounouchi's bangs.

Jounouchi sighed softly at the touch, closing his eyes to hide his tears. "Seto... If you hadn't come..." He murmured, voice trembling.

Kaiba frowned to himself, almost not wanting to know how that sentence would've ended. All he found himself able to say was, "It's okay... you're safe now..."

Jounouchi sniffled and nodded, looking up at Seto slowly as he calmed down. "I love you Seto..."

Kaiba took a moment to remove his eyes from the road, looking at Jounouchi in surprise for a second, then smiled gently, "I love you too, bonkotsu."

Jou grinned at the nickname and lightly punched Seto's shoulder. "Yeah, yeah, money bags." He said playfully, some of his old fire starting to shine through again.

Though his facial expression didn't show it, Kaiba was glad that Jounouchi seemed to be getting back to normal so soon. He just turned his eyes back on the road, not exactly in the mood to get in an accident. "We're almost there..." he said absent-mindedly.

Kaiba walked over to the door, quickly opening it for Jounouchi, just waiting for Mokuba to run to the door and start squealing over the puppy.
