Anna entered Merlins house, solely focused on one thing. "Hey Merlin, how is Leon?" she asked crudely and leaving before he could answer. She entered the kitchen where she had left the groceries Hotaru had bought for the meal that never happened. She took them outside and to the side of Merlin's house and threw them away. 'Stupid Anna! Why did you have to open your month and start this whole thing! You couldn't just enjoy a meal!' She kicked the trash and watched it fall over. Her sword appeared and she threw it on the ground. "You!" she yelled at it. "Why aren't you saying anything! You were just talking to me! By all means, don't stop now that she's gone! And Hotaru! Why can't Hotaru hear you! He obviously wanted to hurt Sir and his family! So why can't he feel your temptation! Huh! That's all it needs! Just the littlest evil! Just the smallest want of harm! Well! Don't be silent now! You promise answers, give them!" She turned away and kicked the wall, cracking it. Anna leaned her back against the wall and slowly slipped down. Tears slowly and silently slid down her checks as flash backs of Hotaru holding her close came dancing in her mind. She wondered if he could ever tell how that would just make everything all right. Right now, that's all she wanted. But with knowledge of how Hotaru could be when he used that power, how different he would turn. She wondered if it would ever feel the same.

Anna wiped the tears away and took the cup. "Was I that loud?" she asked faking a smile. She looked at her sword and it disappeared only to reappear by her side. Anna gave a comical sigh as she looked down at the sword next to her and then at Italia. "And don't worry, I don't get hurt that easily."

Anna looked at the sword and nodded absentmindingly. "Yes, of course."

Hotaru sighed. "Stop comparing me to others, it pisses me off. Two questions I can ask.......fine, why choose Zero, and end up screwing with her life? Two parter I know, but I'm counting it as one." He looked up at the night sky. "And just how does one train this kind of power?" he nodded and leaned back to look at her. 'Hard to believe that's Zero's body.......I was right, cute when she isn't bent on irritating and annoying everyone.....' He ended up grinning as he looked up at her.

Phantom let out a low humming purr sound. "A little history huh?" She smiled closing her eyes. "Zero." She said thoughtfully. "That isn't her true name you know? I had always known that, but it wasn't till the little blond showed up I actually knew her real name. Tsubasa. Wings. It's almost ironic isn't it?" She asked shifting the black wings as if to make a point.

"I explained to you already that I have no form of my own, and that I really need a human to coexist with. I'd been ten years without a host when I met Zero... oh? Three, four years ago? When Sora first rose as the Hero of Light." She leaned forward against her knee's using the back of her laced together fingers as a prop for her chin. "She came from his world. Those charming little islands that are Sora's home are the true home of Tsubasa. When they were lost in that first battle against the Heartless Ansem, the inhabitance were scattered, lost to various fates till the world was restored. Tsubasa, was scattered into the darkness, alone, and aware of where she was. That’s when I found her." She shrugged. "It's quite simple after that, she needed my power to escape before the darkness overtook her, I needed her form to access that power, a deal was struck and I took her to Travers Town."

Phantom shrugged. "As for screwing up her life, I had little to do with that actually. Each host chooses how to cope with my presence and keep command in different ways. Some less successful then others. Zero's has been effective enough in keeping me in check, but has had some severe consequences of her life. She learned quickly some of the qualities of me and darkness, and used them as a guild. Darkness is sensitive power, like an animal it operates the majority off instinct, but is highly aware of emotions, and responds to them accordingly." She tipped her head to one side. "A little like a very large very dangerous dog, it is generally very loyal, but if you do not learn to command it, it will command you. Zero chose to remove the fuel. Emotionless, if she were to be in perfect command of her emotions so they never showed then neither I nor the power would have anything to react to. Also, following that, people are like flint, you bring them together you great sparks, emotion. Thus another thing she cut from her life. Human interaction." She laughed. "Truly ironic, all that agitation for her cold catty ways and all along she was only protecting you all the only way she knew how..." She smirked.

She scowled. “In a way I guess. He lived here BEFORE it was Hollow Bastion. From what I picked up, I guess he lost his heart in the battle that made the original Radiant Gardens into Hollow Bastion.” She shrugged. “I don’t know that for sure though. He doesn’t like to think about it. He says that that life is dead and gone, and there’s no point in dwelling on it any.” She shook her head slowly. “I tell him otherwise, that if we just let go of our past then we never learn. I believe, that mistakes are made so that we grow stronger.” She grinned sheepishly. “Yeah, I’m totally dropping hints here, so let me come out flat. I don’t know what’s happened to you. Really, I’m clueless about what’s going on here. I’m just your average girl from Twilight Town, everything extraordinary about me is because of him.” She tapped her head. “But, what I do understand is that it seems everyone here has a history, and they’re all scared of it for some reason or another.” She looked at her warmly. “But there’s no reason to be scared of what’s in the past, everything that happens happens to bring you to this point.” She laid a hand over her chest closing her eyes. “Axel’s soul coming to live inside of me, him getting stuck, it was all really an accident, and as irritating as it is some days,” She looked up at her again, smiling. “If I could go back? I wouldn’t undo anything that happened, because I truly believe I wouldn’t be who I am now if it weren’t for him.” She crinkled her nose. “I realize my situation is kinda minor in comparison to everyone’s, and that some of you may not like who you are now, but that’s why…” She stood up, “Focus on the now, on what you’re gonna do next to make yourself the person you want to be.” She clicked the heel of one foot to the toe of her other. “One foot, in front of the other.” She said bringing her foot down pointedly. “And if you look back, look back to learn, not to regret or despair, it only distracts you from what truly matters and makes you miserable kay?” She smiled then looked sheepish and blushed. “Sorry didn’t mean go on a preachy pep talk lecture.” She rubbed the back of her head looking at her toes. “Only wanted to make you feel a little better.”

Anna looked up and smiled at her. "Don't apologize. Especially if you say something you think a person needs to hear. Especially if you're right. I guess, in a way, that's what I've been trying to do." She shook her head. "Somethings are just harder to let go than others. Regrets that just need time, sometimes a lot of it, before you can get over them."

Merlin was standing next to Leon, currently mixing another potion. He had been tending to him faithfully, healing and making his suffering as comfortable as possible. He was confused by Anna sudden burst in and out, and wondered when she had even left. But he was so preoccupied by Leon and his condition that he didn't entertain the thoughts and feelings for long.

Hotaru gave a light sigh, and shrugged. "If I'm ever going to surpass them....I suppose it would become prudent." He gave his answer. "But I'd prefer if no one knew I said yes to being like them." He looked up at the night sky. "I'd hate to disappoint everyone who had faith in me."
