Lore didn't speak until Elnara had spoken to him, he was too interested in all the designs. It might looked decorative but he recongized seals when he saw them, these room was more for function than it was for looks, he doubted anything would be held here but travelling parties.
"It would..." he whispered softly, "The circle would make it echo more than a square room."
It must be good to tune things in here though.

Lily's ears had twitched at the sound of the voices, she opened her eyes and shook her heads, revealing herself against the swirling pattern of the floor. Padding towards Elnara she smiled in a catty grin.
"You're back! They said you would be back soon," Lily Mist was so pleased, "And are those babies? Donovan said there would be a baby but he didn't say anything about babies.... I'll go get them."
And with that she bounded out the door that was left open a crack just for her.

Elnara giggled at the Fluffy Cat's words, then looked down at Garrick and put one hand on him tenderly.
"I don't suppose she'll keep it a surprise," she laughed softly, "though I shouldn't be surprised that Donovan thought we would come back with a baby anyways. That man's prepared for anything ... or almost."
She moved to sit in one of the chairs. The twins were much bigger than they had been at birth, and heavier - they were growing exactly as they were supposed to, which made her happy.

Lore had to laugh at that, preparing for a nursey already? He would have never thought of that, but it seemed someone was being very practical.
"At least that means we have a room for them," he chuckled.

After several moments there were the sound of feet rushing towards the room. The door opened wider to reveal Kara standing there with a wide smile on her face. She looked like she ever did in her long dress, short brown hair and large white wings.
"Elnara! Lore!" she made her way towards them, "Some of the older ones should be coming, it'll just take them a while from their homes."

Donovan entered the room shortly after Kara, he only had to take one glance at Lore and Elnara to know that his predictions were slighlty off. He adjusted his glasses perched upon his nose as he took it all in.
"There are two of them," he said deadpanned.
He was going to have to adjust to take into account there were two of them then.

Elnara giggled at Kara and Donovan as they came in - she couldn't help it. It was so rare to catch Donovan unexpectedly, and to do it by accident was even better.
"We're back," she smiled widely at them, standing up again. Holding Garrick in one arm, she put her other arm around Kara and hugged the petite angel. "It's good to see you again," she murmured. "We missed you all ..."
Between them, Garrick began to squirm a bit, nearing wakefulness, and Elnara stepped back and took him out of the sling, holding him in her arms instead.
"Kara," she murmured proudly, "this is Garrick ... and over there, Lore has Hana. Donovan, don't worry too much about thing ... Ulrich made us some rocking chairs and a cradle, and we have all the baby stuff we need, so there shouldn't be too much more for you to do ..."
In Elnara's arms, Garrick's face scrunched up as if he was about to start crying.

"It looks like nap time is close to over," Lore murmured watching Garrick, "We should leave the room before he cries."
If he cried in here it might not be that pleasant, this room seemed to be meant to keep everything in, including sound.

"Aww... they're so cute," Kara murmured wanting to hold the child, but it could be close to his feeding time since he was walking up, "Come," she motioned for the two.
She was just giddy with excitement it had been a while since she seen a baby, and even then Jin wasn't a young baby when he came to her.
"Once Triton and Yue get here they can help move the furniture, they're the closest.. well the closest and most able."

Donovan shook his head as he could hear the excitement iin Kara's voice, "Besides I think Kara will want you to stay for dinner."
At least that's the impression he had gotten from Kara. He had to sign inside at that, though it was in a content way, if anyone could have heard him, but it was all in his head.

Elnara followed after Kara quickly, not wanting to be caught in the portal room when Garrick fully let loose. It felt strange enough being in a room like that after a year of the Borderlands, but to have Garrick's loud cries echoing at double or even triple the volume ...
"What time is it?" she asked them curiously. "It was early afternoon for us when we left, we were hoping to come back at relatively the same time so that the twins' schedules wouldn't be too twisted ..."
She giggled a bit. "You'll never guess how we got the furniture here in the first place," she told Kara and Donovan mischievously.

The hallway was much warmer than the portal room the floor was of wood instead of stone. It looked like Trisha and maybe Serenity had been running a muck on the walls because the whole walls were painted as if there were ivy and flower growing out from the wall and climbling it. Sometimes there was a 'window' which showed an aspect of the grounds outside like a cottage or a river or a bridge.
"It is currently early evening, so the sun has not set yet," Kara replied, "And dinner won't be for another two hours or so, I hope it won't make it too difficult."

"Well since I can't imagine you two carrying it all the way to the portal I would imagine you had help... but getting it through the portal," he raised a brow in question.
He had his suspicions but he couldn't confirm it so he wasn't sure. They must have gotten help though.

Lore chuckled at that, it seemed someone gussed, more or less, "Yes, we had help all the way."
Taking Hana out of her sling so he could properly hold her as well, in case she woke up he added.
"Ahren, Elrohir and Ulrich brought the furniture into the room, so they were here briefly."

"I just hope they weren't here too long, and Haradhel and Ulani found out," Elnara worried. "I mean, I can't see Ulani getting too worked up over it, but Haradhel I think would be worried. She's always been wary of the portal ... and even Elrohir had never really liked it, though he came through all right."
She thought about the time before dinner. If the children woke now, would they even be hungry? If not they would be soon ... but between feeding, finishing off their nap, and getting their room ready, would there be time to see all their other children before dinner? Perhaps if they had a guide ...
"It's just ..." She hesitated again. "I'd really like to see the children again ... spend some time with them ... it's been a year since we've seen them, after all ..."
Seeing the rest of the compound could wait until after dinner, though of course that also depended on whether the twins were awake or asleep. In Arda they would have been asleep - but Elnara still didn't know what time that equivalent would be here now.
