these eggs belong to a friend who's not had good luck with this so far. She is not posting them enough places, but anyway, I just noticed on her scroll she has about .5 days left on her eggs. They do have a crack quite far, but no hole. If anyone could help out it's appreciated! I hate to see her lose these too. http://dragcave.ath.cx/user/71620

Post her scroll again if she gets short on time before they grow up. smile

Crazy_Kibsy *sigh* We didn't manage to save the white! =( mrgreen But all of the others all grew up fine!! Again one that shouldn't have run out of time. I don't know if the pages are cache'd somehow; I mean it is the first time I load them, I'm not using a proxy and have my browser set to load the page fresh every time. I think some people just get impatient and kill their dragon or egg when they think they have no chance anyhow (I believe these rescues are found often without being able to contact the owners, isn't it?). Perhaps they believe they can 'force' a hatchling just like you can force an egg (by killing the egg; odds are that it will die or the hatchling will run off but you may also catch it and then you have a hatchling even though it was running out of time).

I could never give up on a hatchling or any of my dragons for that matter... if it was mine I would just keep trying my hardest to get as many clicks/views as I can before it ran out of time completely... then again I don't expect to let my dragons get that bad EVER =(

I... maybe I shouldn't be worried as it has a decent number of clicks, but it has only .48 days and no wings, so... just a nudge maybe?

Sheriam Again one that shouldn't have run out of time. I don't know if the pages are cache'd somehow; I mean it is the first time I load them, I'm not using a proxy and have my browser set to load the page fresh every time. I'm far from being an expert on these things, but I know I've had to set up one of my sites to cache parts of it on the HTML server to reduce the load on the SQL server during high traffic periods. I suspect it's just an alternative theory to keep me from having to conclude owner impatience. Quote: I think some people just get impatient and kill their dragon or egg when they think they have no chance anyhow (I believe these rescues are found often without being able to contact the owners, isn't it?). Perhaps they believe they can 'force' a hatchling just like you can force an egg (by killing the egg; odds are that it will die or the hatchling will run off but you may also catch it and then you have a hatchling even though it was running out of time). Or they think they need to clear it out to have room to try again with another egg. I pick up a lot of my list when they still have 3-4 days, and then when I check my bookmarks later they still haven't grown up. Retracing where I found them is often impossible. But the owner cared enough to try to post them around. I've tried walking the scrolls, and the number of them with eggs that have less than a day and zero views is staggering.

I won't be able to spam it for a couple of hours; more birthday celebrations. redface I'll pop it onto a click exchange for a while before I have to leave and see if we can't nudge it closer.

Got him, and the siggy ones too. Yes, sad that people don't post their dragons at all! I hope they're at least 'anonymous' eggs picked up from the entrance and not too many adopted ones, one of my dragons has a dead grandchild (grand-egg?) already.

Ostrea Sheriam, would it help if I added the HTML as well? I generate the code by script, so it wouldn't be any extra effort. Yes, that'd help lots! I don't use any scripts, and I can't use BBCode. I copy a generic html string and then replace the code in two places, if I could just copy & paste the whole thing at once would be *much* easier. That'd be great!
