Alec's nerves were a little shot, but the teen managed to calm down now that he was apparently speaking to the more logical version of of the boy infront of him. "Nothin. So.. a' guess tha' otheh guy wasn't th'real you." He laughed a bit, hearing the sound die fast. He pulled his hands from his pocket and reached out a little late to help Julian up. He didn't know Julian couldn't remember him, or he'd introduce himself again.

He was finally on his feet - wobbling from time to time, but standing. He offered a feeble smile, rubbing at the back of his neck.

"...Sort of...not really."

He paused a long moment, looking weary.

"...Who...are you, if you don't mind me asking?"

Alec gave Julian his space though from the looks of his unsteady stance, he figured he should pay attention incase he fell or passed out again. "Uh? Oh! 'Am Alec, Alec Derring." The irishman laughed, haven't not realized the situation with Julian's memory.

He was edging to begin another convseration, but soon realized the catboy was looking quite tired. "Aye, ye lookin' sleepy. Ye betteh go rest o' somethin. Want me t'walk ye back?"

"I'm pleased to meet you, Alec." He smiled sincerely, tail flicking slightly. At the offer, however, his head lowered a little bit.

"...Please. That would be...nice."

Truth be told, Julian was frightened, now...frightened to be alone in the forest, at the mercy of the Jabberwock and who knows what else.

"Yeee, n' problem!" The punk teen gave a wide grin, looking nonchallant in the darkened jungle next to an apparently-schitzophrenic cat-boy. "No' like a' got much t'do." Alec laughed again, motioning for Julian to lead the way back to his duplex. He'd be pretty useless if a bad situation arose during their walk back but the company would probably help the meek feline.

"...Thank you...I appreciate it. It's...creepy out here in the dark."

Ears lifting just a bit, Julian started to stagger towards the duplex, still blissfully ignorant of that announcement Moreau had just made....

Cheshire would have to break it to him later.

"Nah, s'not tha' bad." Alec laughed and took a look around in the thick blackness. For the first time he noticed sounds and shadows he hadn't before.

He coughed to hide the abrupt ending of his laughter and made an effort to walk a little faster.

New RP~

After Moreaus chillling announcement Ian had stayed in the jungle. Perhaps it was just some weird deer instinct, but he felt safer from the person that had hurt the lab worker in the jungle than near the duplexes.

His antlers were still growing in, but he had long since learned how to block out the pain, but when he looked at his reflection in the river he could see them, almost as big as they had been when they fell out, covered in velvet.

He knew enough about deer to know he would have to scrape against trees to rid himself of the stuff, but while he had gained some courage, he was still a coward when it came to pain, and he assumed it would hurt.

He was sitting by the river, for days he had ignored Moreaus message, oreferring to instead try to avoid anyone in the case that they might have been the attacker. Currently he was braiding some vines while whistling an irish pub song. Occassionally he actually broke into song, singing the words in Gaelic before whistling again.

It had never occured to him that whistling might attract someone.

"What was I looking for......"
Emerwyn occasionally mumbled as she went through the jungle, never venturing beyond the river. Now, she found herself travelling right along it. Her legs were beginning to grow weary with the days of walking, and very few encounters to distract her from her turmoil.

Emerwyn stopped in her slow march, and stooped to scoop some water into her mouth. This proved to be hopeless with what remained of her hands, so she leaned in and stuck her face into the clear waters, lapping it up awkwardly. Nothing worked perfectly, at this sick half-stage.
Mid-sip, her ears perked up, picking up a faint sound to her left. It seemed to be some sort of song...

Intrigued, Emerwyn got up to follow the sound. Through the trees, remaining alongside the river to lead her.
The song became clearer, it was a sweet, simple whistle. And then the words.

That voice.

Some spark lit up in her, and she broke out into a run until she very nearly ran right into the figure that produced that heavenly sound.

The furry man dropped his braid and the air caught in his throat as he was caught by surprise.

"Emerwyn?" Of course it was her, he knew it was her. But the isolation, it made him wary. Predators could be out there, and he was prey to most of them.

While he had once been human, when on this island, he had to heavily rely on the deer instincts.

"I'm glad its just you, for a moment I thought it might be a predator."

"Ian!!!" Emerwyn ran at him, tackling him in an embrace.

She hardly even heard what he's said. It didn't matter. She'd figured it out!!!

Through sporadic tears, she cried, "It was you! You were the one I was looking for!!!"

Ian hugged her back and frowned. "You were looking for me m'dear?"

He wiped the tears with a hand gently "Why are you crying?" Ian would never understand why women cried.

She pulled away from him, smiling.
"I am so happy to see you... I was looking for you.
It was so odd. The day - the day Moreau spoke to us - I went to look for you, and when I couldn't find you in the village, I went into the jungle.
Then, after not too long, I began to forget. First, I lost your name. Then, I forgot about you. Finally, I'd forgotten all about trying to find you.
All I knew was that I was looking for something. And I did not know what it was. For days it plagued me, and all other memories were intertwined with each other.
I do not know what it was that made that happen, but it was so frightening. But now, I've remembered you.
But, I'm afraid - I feel there are other things I may have forgotten."

She was talking of forgetting things, and yet she was smiling. Perhaps she thought that if she had remembered him she would remember everything. That made Ian smile.

But it also made Ian think about his own memories. There was a period of days that he could barely remember. He had gone to bed, then woken up in the woods soaking wet as if there had been a storm. His memories from then were very foggy.

He supposed that had been what had happened to Emerwyn. "Memories from before the storm?" he questioned carefully. Maybe Emerwyn had the answers to some of his memories.

But also from before the storm, he had another memory. He had looked at a calendar in the cafeteria on a Thursday (he had found out then) May 4th.

"My birthday is coming up. I would like to spend it with you." He would have to go back to the cafeteria to find out exactly what day it was now. But his borthday was important. He was turning 21, then he could drink at he beach bar without feeling guilty.

Before the storm... What had happened then?

"I-I suppose... But it goes beyond that. Memories from the day I arrived here... Memories of meeting everyone. I still haven't recollected everything.
Before the storm. I can't remember what happened then... I'd seen someone. Someone I know. And, someone I don't know."

Ian's birthday was coming up. Vaguely, she wondered how old Ian was. That sort of thing didn't seem to matter. He seemed close enough to her age.
"I'd missed mine. How have you kept track of all this time?"
His birthstone was emerald. Like his eyes...
