Great, I didn't get through. Kinda disappointed, I put alot of thought into my match. I can't help but feel I've been hard done by because I didn't get a chance to show my skills due to my opponent being away for most of our alloted time.
It seems only the "popular" characters have gotten through the "exempt" thing aswell. -sigh- good luck everyone. |:

First off, using a clone would have been idiotic, especially once he had the bottle in his hands, right from the start, and the fact that Rikei was watching him. If he attempted to use a smoke bomb then to hide a clone, Rikei would have just blown him up. At that point in time, Rikei had control, and instead of coping out with a clone or substitution (Which, without something to substitute with, that would have been idiotic too, eh?), he actually came up with a head on solution to do the best he could with what he had.
Rikei won this fight fair and square through battle, but Sato did an excellent job. Not only with fighting, but roleplaying in that fight. There was a lot of character there, that determination to go on being a key attribute here. Truelly admirable, even if he lost. Winning and losing doesn't matter, it's how you play the game.
Some people really need to listen to that and take it to heart. Sato did a wonderous job, and I'll be the first to defend him when it comes to how he played.
P.S. Sato, I think if Tsunade could fix Lee's broken spinal cord and heal Choji when he should have been long dead, she can probably replicate you a new hand using your own flesh, like Shizune did with Neji's hole in his chest, using his hair.=-

You really want him fully functional Artistic? He might come back for Massive Vengeance at Full Power. Really want you want Rikei lookin' over your shoulder every minute of every day waiting for some fully functional ninja to come for him?
Or a cripple? wink
Still not sure how I'll play it off. Course never actually saw those episodes where Tsunade did the above things you mentioned. So I didn't know the limits.
Well, other than the Spinal Thing with Rock Lee. But that seemed different to me. It was fixing something that was 'there' already as it were. Rather than regrowing something that was missing.
Guess it's possible then.
Still not sure what I'll do. I'll just roll with how events unfold.

-=XD Nah, you have to understand, Rikei has been a terrorist of the Earth Country for years. He was officially made an A-class criminal, and has been on the run, looking over his shoulder every day. At least, before Kakashi found him (And he blew up half the city xD) and made him a part of Konoha. So, he's used to it mate.
Besides, I don't see either of them holding that much of a grudge against eachother. It's kinda like Gaara and Lee. Awesome battle, tons of a** whooping, Lee hurt Gaara for the first time ever, and Gaara broke Lee's spinal cord, along with just about every bone in his body. >> A little while later, the two are then working on the same side. So meh, mostly it's just the Chuunin exams, you do what you have to do.=-

I want Sato to write a story with the blood coming from his hand. And the story forms a contract so deep with his last chakra that it plays into affect even after he bleeds to death...>>
That would be EPIC.
But I agree, the two wouldn't be grudge-holders. I don't want them to be; I like them both too much.

Well think about it
A steal hand that could be changed for different melee uses. or equip stuff on it like a drill and it could spin at high velocity.
OoO you could do an iron man thing and shoot lazers.

Might do something like that exchangable hand thing the bad guy from Enter the Dragon used.
And maybe try to learn that one handed jutsu technique. Wonder who could teach it to him.... Kakashi perhaps since he was there watching when Haku did it. Not sure who else.
Dunno. For some reason I like the idea of a missing hand. Just makes me 'different'. sweatdrop And making your character distinctive and different is almost always a good thing.
