Hello! sorry to interrupt any conversation, but I just thought I would explain my absence!
Besides the obvious reason of Homework, I have been thinking of leaving gaia. I just don't find it very fulfilling anymore, and I only ever use it to do PMs. I think I may keep my account, and let the items I have gain value. I'll poke my head back in here every once in awhile, but really, if you want to contact me, PM me.

In a nutshell, thetarot reader shuffles his or her deck of cards while thinking about the question or person at hand. Then they place the cards in various positions (called 'spread') and depending which card lands in which position in the spread, the reader interprets different meanings in relation to what they were focusing about in the first place.
Personally my readings are pretty accurate, but if you beleive me or not, that's your call. I won't get insulted or anything, I only started doing this as a hobby anyhow ^_^
I live in Canada, so I'm thinking of going at La Cité Collégiale in Ottawa. Apparently it's THE place to go if your a french canadian like me, so I hope I get accepted!

@ fourtysecondscarf: I'm sad to hear that you'll be leaving Gaia! I wish you the best and look forward to seeing you back around. I understand the feeling though - I took a break from Gaia for a while as well during grad school.
@ Vortigan: it sounds interesting.. I'm not sure what I believe in the aspect of tarot reading - but I'm glad you have a hobby you enjoy! Good luck to getting into university! Keep us updated!

Orna I love your new avi! I just want to give a heads up that in the immediate future, I might not be on gaia. Tomorrow I have to drive to LA to go visit my dying uncle at the hospital. We are all very sad in my family that he only has 3 more months to live at the most. This christmas is going to be very sad. I ask all of you to keep my uncle and his family in your prayers, if you don't pray well just to think of him and such, and that everything goes by smoothly, not that funerals and such are happy, but yeah, I'm very sad,,, crying I love the new december collectibles! It looks so wintery.

I'll be sure to have him in my prayers.
crying
I [don't] know how you feel, but I can sympathize at the least.
A very close [as in VERY close] friend of mine [I call her "grandma"] recently got lung cancer for the second time and her body's too frail for chemotherapy.
So she might pass away.
Nevertheless, I will keep your uncle in my prayers.
I hope you can still celebrate Christmas with him though!

Thanks for the compliment on the avi, I really like the new look as well!
[Shoot me a PM if you can before Tuesday in re: to the PM I sent you.. Let me know if you can do what's discussed inside. It's cool if you can't, I understand the situation you're in.]

Thank you orna and kita for all the support! I appreciate it...kita I'm very sorry for your "grandma" my grandfather died of liver cancer so I know what you mean about the cancer. My uncle has a tumor in his liver but its more from the pserosis (spelling...?) from drinking a whole bottle of tequila every day for more than 25 years. I wish he was a candidate for the transplant but he needs to be 6 months w/out alcohol and such...my mom says its because his liver does not accept any more blood that it went all to his stomach and the pressure was so bad that the veins exploded..so yeah, its gruesome..yesterday I went to my aunt's house and we had a vigil for my uncle until midnight. My cousins were crying and it was just sad...I know how it feels losing a parent and I don't want my cousins to experiece the loss of a parent since it's very extrutiantingly heart breaking. I don't know what I'm going to say tomorrow to my uncle..what do you talk about to a dying person? Hopefully kita, my family and I will have christmas with him. Hes coming home and is going to be in hospice so he'll be here for a while. Orna I can do the thing...I'll just do it right now.

You're so considerate for your cousins.
^^"
Weren't you also a victim of the San Diego fire?
-.-"
Sorry about all your misfortunes.
I really don't know what to say.
Maybe that a valley always comes before a mountain...[?]
If I knew you, I would definitely try to comfort you in a way possible, but because I don't know you in terms of a person, I can't lend such help.
So, well, I feel a bit guilty about leaving you just hanging...

So, well, I feel a bit guilty about leaving you just hanging... Kita yeah I was a victim...but what can you say, it can only make me stronger. I've had many misfortunes happened to me and my family but I learn from them and live for the future. I try to be positive about the misfortunes and not dwell on them, because who wants to be a bitter? I love my family...so yeah I always wish them the best.I know that God looks out for me and my family...I'm grateful for everything that I do have. But I have very good news about my uncle. I left w/ my uncle driving to LA this morning and we got there in an hour and a half and that was because there was no traffic! That was great! My cousin told us that on Monday they are going to do this procedure where they are going to come up with a syringe from the femoral vein and like block the tumor in the liver and surround it w/ chemicals so it becomes smaller and shrinks. If the procedure goes well, he can live up to 8 months at least and going into the liver transplant program where he would have to not drink alcohol, go see a psyhologist for at least 9 months. Once the doctors see that he is serious about it, they will put him on the waiting list and once he gets a donor, he will have a new liver. That is so much better news than the alternative. My uncle was so happy to see his family and friends come visit him all the way to LA, which is pretty much a hassle to drive to because of the freeways. On a lighter note, from his room I saw the hollywood sign. It wasen't that great...we actually were on hollywood blvd. and it was ghetto. I'm guessing because we weren't in the ritzy part of hollywood. How is everyone today? heart

I'm glad that you're able to put so much faith into God.
And hopefully, your uncle will be able to recover successfully.
I'm doing fine, by the way.

"In true Ravenclaw tradition, to enter our Common room, you will need to answer a question.
If this is your first time entering the Ravenclaw Common room, please answer this question: Where are your greatest strengths?"
I believe my greatest strengths to be intelligence (hopefully, or else I'd be an undeserving Ravenclaw!) and perhaps loyalty. I am also very stubborn as well, but that could be called both a strength and a weakness.
