Craig listened. The thought of the military trying to capture them seemed the most likely. He looked to the two, back and forth. He was not made for thinking, only doing. However, this was the time for thinking. Craig felt like he was holding up everything with his long thought process. He looked to the sky, as if listening for a response, then back to his two unlikely allies. "Its either we find a way to organize the military, or we organise the defenders to work with greater precision. If the military can't understand the problem, the defenders will. I doubt that both will join our fight together. I fear, however, that both are needed to win."
He thought for a few moments. The gears of his mind were working. His exterior seemed cool and collected, but his mind and soul were racked with decisions to make and problems. "First, we should see if the military will trust us. I'm not afraid to confront them. I highly doubt they can capture me for long enough for studies..."

Angsk shortly arrived towards at the edge of the city. Hehe... This place looks like it'll be loads of fun.. He slowly began walked along the sidewalks of a busy street as he walked past many humans. Grr, its too crowded here to eliminate any of these pests.. Suddenly, as he was walked, he heard cries for help as well as people shouting within an alley. Angsk grinned as he turned, and entered the alley way.
Suddenly, he noticed two hooded men beating another man. The injured man looked up at saw Angsk, and reached for him. The other two men noticed him as well and one approached him. " What are you looking at foo'? " Angsk grinned, " What are you doing there? " The hooded man looked behind him and back at Angsk, " If you don't want to be like him, you'd best turn 'rou- " Suddenly the man drops to the floor, dripping with blood. His partner begins sprinting down the alleyway, however he is cut short by Angsk appearing in front of him. " Where do you think your going... " From the streets, you could hear the violent scream of a man.
Slowly, Angsk approached the man on the floor. " You okay there? " The man grinned and stood back up, holding his left arm. " I'm... Okay, my arm is broken, but I'm fine.. " Angsk assisted him as they walked back towards the street. " Why were they beating you like that? " The man looked at Angsk and then back at the ground, " I was trying to make a shortcut to my apartment... Then they appeared and asked for my wallet, I refused, and they beat me. " I nodded my head, " Where do you live? " He points across the street, at the large building in front of us. " Okay, let's get you home. " As they reached the door, Angsk called one of the workers there, and he assisted the man. As he walked away, Angsk waved goodbye. Suddenly, a voice shot through his head. Why did you help this man boy? My lords... This man doesn't seem corrupted, he seems just fine. What is wrong with helping him? Your job is to cleanse the planet of those wretched pests Angsk, not help them. These people will be your downfall Angsk.. Angsk began walking down the sidewalk once again, thinking about what the gods have informed him.

"Agreed. It makes sense. If anything goes wrong, we blow our way out." Mark shrugged. "The problem is I do not know this nation's armed forces. Whoever does must lead us to those who will help us."
"Oh... and we should get going fast. The purifiers are probably on the move already. We should do the same thing."

Amadeus nodded. "Sounds good. Fortunately, we are standing pretty damn close to what happens to be -or rather... what happened to be- the nerve center of the entire U.S. military: the Pentagon. I'm certain that at least one high-ranking officer will be here to get a status report on what's going on, if there aren't several here already. Our best bet would be to search the part of the structure that's still intact. Follow me."
Truth be told, Amadeus had never been inside the Pentagon. He was a National Guardsman, not one of the military's "bright boys in the back room". While he wasn't sure if any Generals or whatnot would be at the Pentagon, he figured there'd be at least someone who could help him get in contact with a head of the military. It wouldn't take long to show the official that he meant business, once the MP saw that he was with a guy who could grow guns out of his arms.
He just hoped they wouldn't try to kill him or the Defenders.
((... I just thought of a really good idea. We're supposed to be training, right? Well, if diplomacy with the U.S. military turns sour, and we're forced to resort to fighting our way out... that's a helluva lot of training right there. Unless fighting NPCs doesn't count. However, since I'm a human, I could also play NPCs as player characters, doing the whole dice roll thingy and such. I could use a different font color so you would be able to tell when I'm playing Amadeus and when I'm playing everyone else. *looks to Admins of ownage* What do you think?))

[[I like it! Depending on what they are, they'll still have the same HP and damage rights. So, 20 HP for humans and 60% damage possibility. 40 HP for beings created by gods. The only thing that worries me is the whole lvling thing. It's apparent that you'll have to be able to defeat these guys, and you do in fact need to take rests to heal. But, hey we can put ourselves in such situations and play accordingly. HOWEVER, don't cheat! I will call you out if you do! I'm applying this to everyone directly. SO PAY ATTENTION!
It's fine. I understand you're busy Iori. Good Luck in college!]]

It was an hour before the memories stopped swelling in her head. In that time several people had came and asked if she was ok. She nodded and with cautious looks they went away. Luckily no one had called the police. Straightening up she started the car again. The feeling was getting more and more insistent. She need to go there, to Vancouver.
Pulling the car out and back on the road she drove the rest of the way there, not really sure what she was going to do when she got there or even why she was going there. Eventually she reached the city and just in time, because suddenly the car gave a sputter and died. She frowned, wondering what was wrong with it. Glancing over the dashboard she the arrow pointed to 'E'. It didn't matter. SHe would just walk the rest of the way.
Undoing her seatbelt, she unlocked the door, and began walking the rest of the way there. Her senses completedly focus on the events that were to follow, as she reached the point where her feet took her she stopped. Not far from where she was standing she saw what looked like several humans, a group of them, but as she looked she could tell something wasn't quite right. Besides the part where they were all floating from the sky. On one level she was surprised, on another she wasn't. She had heard a news report about people, had memories of them and was unusual herself.
She pressed her hand against the tree when suddenly she felt it. She wasn't alone, there was someone else, and from what she could gather, this other being was part of why she was here. She turned her head, looking to see who else stood here.
((Just to clarify-Shale is under the same tree as Ch'Karra.))

"Ah. Well then, I suppose we should search them out. How does your rank insignia system work here?" Mark asked, glancing around at the gathering crowd, looking for people holding themselves aloof from the crowds and the MPs pushing the crowds away from the rubble. His eyes caught one or two people who appeared significant, but he couldn't tell what the marks on their shoulders meant. They clearly weren't foot soldiers, however.

"The quick version? The more stripe-type thingies you have on your shoulders, the higher rank you are. If you've got stars on your shoulders, that means your a general. The more stars, the higher-ranked general you are."
Amadeus followed Mark's eyes over to the crowd of people gathering by the wreckage of the Pentagon, and to the MPs trying to keep them all at bay while emergency vehicles were on the way.
"I suppose there is is good as any a place to start..."

"Alright. How about that one there, the one with three stars on his shoulder?" Mark asked, looking over at the three-star general. "Should we approach him now or should we wait for something to happen?" Now people were gathering around him, talking to him. Mark couldn't identify the wavelength of their voices just by listening, simply because of the sheer number of voices.

~*~♥ ♥ ♥~*~ when they finally reached ground, Izzy finaly calmed down. The air around of them changed, almost... shifted. She carefully, and shakily stood up and looked around. "ok, we're in Vancouver. Was there somewhere specific in Vancouver that we wer going?" The tone in her voice wasn't agitation, or confusion, or anything for that matter. It wasn't mono-tone, it was just hard to figure out what she was feeling then. As the air settled, Iz felt how chilly it really was, a shiver went down her spine, and she involuntarily shuddered.
((gah!! I'm so sorry that I took so long to post!! I've been having trouble getting on the computer with my ankle. If I can't get on, or I don't post tomorrow, thread mods can puppet Izzy. You guys should know her enough by now.)) ~*~♥ ♥ ♥~*~

Tamwyn glanced dispassionately at the two beings and noted how they shivered. a'Ariella, thinking that Tamwyn must be cold too, moved to drape some warm air around them, but Tamwyn waved her away. No need, she thought. I can adjust the amount of heat my body receives from my star. And we don't want the other two to notice anything stranger than they have already. She looked at the city. We will have to find clothes and shelter, though. "All right," Tamwyn said. "If you two wait here, than I can go into the city and get Ryn a disguise-" She nodded to him. "-and find a place for us to sleep and heal. Any objections?"

"No where in particular....", Ryn said to Izzy, turning to Tamwyn, his wings shaking for a second, before saying,"Go ahead... Though it will be hard to disguise me."
He swayed for a second before shaking his head, and looking to Izzy with a slightly dazed smile.

Ch'Karra felt extremely uncomfortable with the new one standing in him, as he essentially was the shadow of the tree now. He showed his face on the bark of the tree, and said, in a guttural, growling tone, 'Move.' This one was alone, so he thought it wouldn't make much of a difference if he revealed himself to her. He still wanted to keep an eye on the group with the human.

As her eyes searched out for something she couldn't seemed to find, suddenly a face appeared in the bark, growling at her. She jumped, startled, but not afraid, instead curious. For a moment her body rippled, trying to copy the face, but since it wasn't humanoid in appearance she couldn't do the change.
So instead she stood there, slowly turning over the order given to her. "Why?"
