My school district sucks. xp
So we have to read Romeo and Juliet in ninth grade, and we generally get books for it. But now the district said that ninth and tenth graders have to get their reading through some large $80 compilation book, Romeo and Juliet is in that book.
In the original version of the Romeo and Juliet; the scene beforethe famous scene where Juliet is on the balcony and calling out, "Romeo, oh Romeo." Mercutio is calling Romeo and saying:
Mercutio As maids call medlars, when they laugh alone. Romeo, that she were, O, that she were An open arse, thou a poperin pear!
Or something similar to that, anyway, the new book that the ninth and tenth graders are supposed to read from reads like this:
Mercutio As maids call medlars, when they laugh alone. Romeo, that she were, O, that she were An open et cetera, thou a poperin pear!

And I need that money for moving.. That sucks. I got my W-2 from Barnes and noble...and I'm waiting for one from old navy. I'll probably be getting a decent amount back.

Skizzors I'm not going to AX! domokun You should go!
Pi: That sucks. gonk There's nothing you can really do besides talk to someone about it?
FFG: No. xp I think the LAUSD requires all ninth graders to read Romeo and Juliet (I was reflecting when I had to read it; I'm a senior right now). My English teacher brought it up as an analogy to Brave New World's quote, Civilization is sterilization.

AG at AX. That would be cool.
We could like, have a huge banner and of course the Gator would promptly devour all the convention go-ers.
More good picks in the dealers room then. hehehe.

Zero Omega Shoujo Phoenix And from what I've seen of The L Word, they don't stay very loyal and stuff... or are wishy-washy about their sexuality.Blah. People portay homosexuals like they're actually different than heteros. That is what bothers me. Yar, I caught some of it on Monday out of boredom and needing something to watch. What was up with that chick (near the end of the show) who said she didn't want to screw that guy online then ended up saying she would? I'm not sure. I didn't catch the new one on Sunday... sweatdrop
