Kenet literally tumbled down the stairs, having been too immersed in his tiredness to notice that his wings weren't carrying him. At the last stair, he sat upright, looked around confusedly, and then his face crumpled with pain as tears welled up in his eyes.
"Owch," he said softly, rubbing his head.

Sophie looked as she heard athud. "Oh my!" she said as she ran over to him. "Are you okay?" she said to Kenet.

Sino yawned as she walked into the tavern, tired and still a little edgey about being around people.
She sighed and plopped down on a couch, rubbing her eye's.

Kenet looked up at Lilly and shook his head lightly. "Not okay," he whimpered, rubbing at his eyes.

Sino looked down at Kenet and tilted her head, she hadn't seen her little firefly friend in so long.
She opened her mouth to say something, but her words caught in her throat, and a cough came out.
She sighed and hugged her stomach.

Kenet rubbed away the majority of the tears from his eyes - they weren't manly - and pushed himself to his feet. His wings flit to life, giving the back of his neck a quick breeze before the translucent appendages folded themselves against the back of the t-shirt he wore.
He crossed the room to the bar and splashed water from the sink onto his flushed face. As he drew his hands back, he saw the blood trickling from a cut on his cheek, and he frowned. How ugly. Carefully, he rinsed the cut until it bled no more. The sting would be a reminder to open his wings before he decided gravity could kick his a**.

Sino watched Kenet take care of himself, liking this new thought.
She smiled and started to play with her fingers, wanting to say hello.

Kenet finally determined his face free of blood, and wiped the dampness away with the front of his shirt, his belly still flat but showing no sign of muscle whatsoever. He was still a kid, no matter how much older he got.
As the cloth from his shirt was removed, his eyes caught Sino, and he blinked at her for a moment. Then, he waved shyly.

Sino giggled as she looked at Kenet, wanting to huggle him.
She just took a pillow and snuggled into it, resisting the urge to glomp Kenet.

He gave her a strange look as she proceeded to physically abuse a pillow, but smiled anyway. With nothing else to do, he shuffled over to her side and hovered above her head with his wings.
"What're you doing?" he asked curiously.

Sino shivered and dropped the pillow, wrapping her arms around Ketet and snuggling into him.
"Hugging my little Kenet-chan!"
She giggled out as she started to purr.

Jenna appeared from the dark returning from her hunting trip a little blood was still dribling down from her lip. "Hey guys what did I miss?" She asked happily.

Kenet let out a sharp, unmanly squeal as he was yanked out of the air and into a hug, just as Jenna walked in. His large blue eyes found her.
"She's gonna kill me to death!" he choked out.
