I was saying Belarus something like 'Bell-are-us'. Now that I know more Russian, I know it's 'Bella-roose' basically. 'White Russia'.

I only found out how to say it after watching the TV show "Who do you think you are?" where Lisa Kudrow goes there to track down family members.

I'm pretty sure I mispronounce "Belarus" in a pretty horrible fashion (Something like "Belaruhz" with a...harsh z) gonk Funnily enough, I only use the Name to refer to Bela.

My family is Welsh on one side, with native American once (Great or great-great grandmother). And my dad's side is very very German. XD

One side of my family states that they always lived here xp Though, those are in my bad books and I have no desire to ask them about their ancestors. I'll stick with what my father told me.
My other grandparents moved here from east-prussia (now poland) during WWII (while both were still fairly young...around 6-9 years).
My grandmother always told my mother, that she descended from polish nobility. She was quite proud about that (*lol*).Sadly, both died over 10 years ago...So... ._."

I used to pronounce Belarus wrong as well. P:
Until some of my friends were babbling on about sports, and one of them mentioned a game containing Belarus and some other country I forget at the moment. : D
I think that Bell-ah-roose sounds cooler anyway 8D.
