Kevin immediately made a face. "Tea parties are for girls!" He complained. "I'd like to try board games," he said. "And video games? We can do all sorts of stuff!"

Toby just laughed. Yes, Kevin, he thought you'd say that. That was why he'd teased you.

After an unnecessarily long shopping trip, it had been chosen that tacos were the meal for tonight, regardless of the fact that nobody in the house was Hispanic in heritage. It was fun anyway.
Dari ended up having the hardest time holding his tacos together. Toby laughed at him when a second shattered in his hands.

Maia took pity on Dari and showed him how to break the shells to make a taco salad. She was grinning though.
Kevin was very impressed with Toby's ability to cook. "One day I'll make these and you can come over for them," he decided.

"They're easy," Toby assured him, "I'm sorry I never thought to teach you. This isn't exactly a big taco household."

Easy was always the best. Kevin rewarded Toby with a smile. "It's okay," he assured him. "I kind of guessed that when Dari broke his first taco." He glanced towards Dari and snickered.

"The hardest part is the seasoning, if you don't use a boxed mix," Toby added.

"Because you're too cool for tacos." Kevin decided. He hadn't forgotten how Dari had gotten him his xbox. "Aren't boxed mixes not as good?" He asked. "Let's do it without one!"

Toby grinned. How could Kevin really know if he hadn't tried boxed mix? Oh well. He was a teenager with a god palate.
"Sure I can," he agreed, and then shrugged, "I don't know. Some time soon-ish, alright? We can make soft shell ones too. For our technically challenged friend over there."
Dari rolled his eyes, but was still smiling.
