Enki Leviathan So, is there any weird, obscure accepting method the mods have implemented yet cause I see a chick in the join requests and I'm like, "Whoa... that's pretty good." But I dunno if they're still doing that like... weird test thing they did once...
i look at their submitted sample. if i have any questions at all, any doubts, or i get a nagging in the back of my head, twitch fights them. if they prove themselves able to roleplay reasonably well [and i give a rather lot bit of leniency as i don't want to recruit for us just the cream of the crop, but we should also be able to show up-and-comers with a brain how it's done, helping them along their way... maybe we'll find another shouyin that way], they're passed. if they're annoying in-fight, or just seem like they would take much more time than i or anyone seems to have to offer, they're rejected.
in rejections, i explain why they're rejected. "i don't like the cut of your jib" is a valid reason.
as such, i've asked all other mods not to accept anyone. rejection, go for it. but i take some small glimmer of happiness in being able to tell someone PASS/FAIL. passing random people annoys me and will likely result in their banning, because they haven't gone through me. which will probably annoy the other mod, and make me ban THEM for annoying ME and not following procedure.

@ being hammerhappy> kraun is strict and does his thing, but as far as i know, won't ban people simply because it's annoying to have to look up names. besides, people like calling him the bad guy, and i believe he already said something about that being annoying.
i have absolutely no problem with people not liking me here. my patience for the opinion of arguing people and internet drama is very short, and the moment someone points me to an issue, i'll ban first and ask questions later-- it takes only one more click to give a person a re-invite.
i believe that if the other mods disagreed with my methods, i would've been demodded when i re-invited yusuke over ed's head. i don't mind admitting when i'm wrong and fixing it, but i don't mind getting rid of people so they can sit in the corner and figure out if it's worth annoying the mods and the rest of the guild.
