Sevilin's actions in battle, were often of the irrational seeming sense though he would tell you that there was always a method to his madness. Prodnounced as that madness may be and obscure as the method. His method? Take a few hits, let thier drawing of blood give them the feeling of having the upper hand. He had enough warding on his person to keep himself standing, unless he follied and got a rather fatal oriented or overly deep slice. His own clothing seemed a bit difficult for blades to even cut through.
Needless to say, he was getting quite the amount of blows to his person, though it seemed to not tax him as much as it should have. Though a glare clearly directed at Jarlaxle at that statement he made. A momentary lash out at both drow at once before he disappeared from the varitable ring of attack they had made. Only to reappear a few feet away, slamming the two halves of his weapon back together and with as swipe of a hand fusing them back together. Didn't look too worse for wear except maybe the thin line of blood that trickled from his nose and down his chin. "Do tell...what threat do I pose to you?"
Said in teh moment target points flared arounf them both, runes already made up in his mind and transposed to each. A specific combination that encompassed binding and paralyzing properties. Of course Zahara being so close to Kimmuriel would get it as well, should she get too close. Drow knew other drow...if they wanted to kill him they would of done it already. Though this princeling had seemed eager to do so.
((Fine I'll just go ahead and do it...))
"Point is, Malik D'vinn, that you are having someone bother you on a matter classified under business and you have proclaimed yourself sp die hard over keeping Sevilin to yourself that I can have no doubt that you may want to go see what's up with that spike and perhaps interject so that you do in fact keep him to yourself. I know how you think double sided." Well...she had just verbally worked him over hadn't she?

Onyx only shrugged.
"She's good looking, but a bit...cold. distant. Like she'd just as soon flay me as to say hello if the mood struck her. But, I'll take that as a 'you're not helping, leave me alone' type thing."
A small smirk.
"Just as stubborn as your adopted daughter I imagine. but you do need your rest."
So Onyx got himself up, and plodded over to Catawa's room, and knocked on teh door. no way he was going to barge in on a shaman. he knew the spiritual power of a beastlord, and shaman's didn't divide thier studies between that and melee combat.
"Catawa? interested in some feline company?"
"And this is what happens when you let your signifigant other live with you. they learn all your bad habits and little tricks and lines of thought and how to pick at you with them. Yes, I have a nagging to know. Yes, I want to keep Sevilin for myself. But as you may have noticed, he's not exactly thrilled with us right now. going out there woudl most likely just add me to the list of targets. Not to mention I'm not in the proper shape. So I'm staying here, as per Nurse Piper's orders."
A slight smirk to her.
"Besides, your sitting on me. you'd have to move for me to go anywhere, and I don't think your inclined to be moving."

"Confilictions can be cruel." She didn't have the energy to wave as he left.
Catawa had pretty much destroyed her room. The matress had been pulled off the ebd and torn apart, making a nest of sorts on a corner. The bed frame had been broken into small pieces, and were now burning slowly in the middle of the room in a controled fire. The window was pen for ventalation. Bones littered the floor from her larger hunts, but besides feathers from the amtress and bits of wood, it was fairly clean. The blankets had also been shredded.
"If the company wishes."

She gaped in horror as her blade fell to the ground, severed from the hilt. Hey those were hers! How dare he destroy something that she'd had for such a long time? Oh she was going to kill him, it didn't whose side the b*****d was on. How was she supposed to fight when her weapons were entirely too easily severed?! Stepping forward she raised her hand to bring it crashing down on the drow's head and realized a moment later what she'd done. Feeling the familiar shift and pull that meant runes were being used and a moment later she was catching the tail end of the circle meant for Tarathiel. Damn her need to get involved and even the odds. Frozen in place, unable to move at all she cursed Sevilin for a moment before she realized that the other two were frozen as well, leaving Sevilin ample opportunity to get out of the way of any death seeking blades or...whatever he was going to do. At this point she was just glad he was okay.

Tarathiel's scimitars more or less knew that Sevilin was gone the moment he disappeared, that section of the threat within his mind shifted to the place where he teleported to, of course that meant that they would shift to he next nearest threat which happend to be the one he didn't want to kill. Luckly for Zahara, the paralitic effects washed over him before his blade touched her throat. "Don't do that." The drow gazed deeply into her eyes, "I don't want to kill you."
Jarlaxle noticed how Taratheil froze mid swing, and wondered why, e was fine. The runes beneth him didn't do a thing. Maybe the enemy made a fluck? Or maybe his enemy underestimated his skin. "How nice of you, you stopped my cohort from killing that annoying drow woman." The general had almsot turned his head to completely where Sevilin was before his left sword was hurled and turned into a dagger mid-flight at the drow rune mage, another dagger followed shortly there after.
"You know, this will make killing that Priestess so much easier." The general said, "She can't move a muscle which means if I slight for her throat, she will die." Jarlaxle's right hand disappeared under the cloak and came out with a rope, which he quickly lassoed around Her neck. Runes on the rope glowed. "Guess what this rope does?"
Tarathiel's eyes glowed fiercely lavender, his hair became less bounded by the laws of gravity.

She crossed her arms and rolled her eyes. "Would you like that I go camp in the 'yard' then?" Then a shrug. "Not my fault you're an open book and I've been with you for so long I can't help but know and then get upset when I know what you're going to think and what you want to do. Like the lich incident. 'I'm messed up but I insist that you let me walk around and put myself in pain, oh and on that note you can feel it scratch in your own subconcious as I ignore it'." Good lord elf. Someone had been holding that in for a while now hadn't they? She took a breath, letting her posture go back to that protective one that she couldn't shake what with her collar off. "And I have no doubt you could easily dump me off if you wanted."
Kieran stared for a moment and blinked. Hm, look at that held back agitation on her part. He swore, just like Fianna...let thier men get away with thing after thing, let it build up then decided to tirade on it one day and get it out of thier system. They really did mean well...they were just rather passive. Piper was indeed more like her mother than she actually knew. It was cute.
Daggers were no big deal for him, one was seemingly dropped right out of the air and the other was caught with a spin of his pole arm, the blade embedding into the wood. He merely pulled it out and threw it to the ground, lettting red eyes float over to the two drow who had gotten caught. Yet one remained, somehow escaping rune effects that should have gotten to anyone, no matter how mighty they thought they were. Though Sevilin, unfortunately, could come up with a reason as to why Jarlaxle got away like he did. Damn it...too much...
"Kill her." Said cold and flat as any drow may say. "What would I care about a manipulating woman? Seemed your princeling is far more concerned for her than I." He spoke words that perhaps didn't agree totally to his mind. "Why would I have need to protect her...killing her would bring one that I hate so much greif...she could die. Fragile things the surface elves...sccumbing to death over greif. Save me the time and energy."
He stood his ground, not moving merely watching. If he really wanted to...he could easily pluck her from the situation, but he made no move to. After all...his statement was quite intriguing to himself and oh so very true. Though he still entertained the though of relieving her from the situation.

Jarlaxle smiled, "That's why I like you. You're cold, calculating, and up hold all the principles that make drow males strong. We were only going to kill you because that one got jeallous." The drow continued throwing daggars at the rune mage. It was possible to like or admire you enemy, and still try to kill him. "How about this, we keep her, you get to live? Not that we could kill you... quickly."
"It is the quickest and least stressful way to deal with this situation. If she dies, Lil'one there will be able to do some really nasty stuff, even while physically encumbred."
"Face it, neither of us would get very far if he cuts the time space continium into pieces. This plane would collapse, destroying it and everything connected to it... Like you home plane. Would you kill yourself just to do something like that?" Jarlaxle pointed at Tarathiel, "He would."

Tarathiel seemed...upset. But then that would definitely explain the option that Kimmuriel had in mind when he'd sent beasts after her. When she got out of this, she was going to burn every damned rope she could ever find. She either got jerked by the damn rune or like now, it was lassoed around her neck. Ohhhh! They were just adding to her rage now. She went ot move, to slam her fist right into that gloating drow's face but of course couldn't move. And at not being able to move, ranting ensued. "Damn you Sevilin Inthara!" Gods his words sliced deep. She knew he hated her but come on! "I saved your a** back there and this is the thanks I get? b*****d! See if I ever help you again. And you," her voice was rising in her anger, eyes flashing. "You wish to kill me? Kind of sad I have to be incapaciated for you to do it, isn't it?" She hissed at all of them. "Damn men!" And now they were using her as a bargaining chip. Ohhh! Wishing to Eili she could move and just beat all three of htem severely. She didn't want Sevilin anymore and even as she it she knew what a lie it was. Finally she started just grumbling. "Would you release me you idiot!" not specifying who the 'idiot' was.

"I am in no condition to be tossing you off me and I am just fine. as for the Lich incident, that was for a lot of reasons, Sevilin being one. you can't control a drow that thinks you are weak. I'm sorry that it grated on you but I had to show strength and determination. after all, if I was still willing and abel to walk after that beating, it shows that I can endure a great deal, and thus might make him think twice before trying to backstab me."
A chuckle.
"I'm not so open to others, you're the only one that can read me cover to cover and you get a strange kick out of being able to do that and chastize me with it, don't you."
Onyx walked in, and didn't seem the least bit phased at the bones and the fire and the shredded furniture.
"Ah, just like Father's Den back home. all it needs is root supports and dirt and rock walls..stone beds covered in furs, and furniture made of leather and bone, and it'd be just like it."
He sat across from her, and just watched her for a moment. was was a gorgeous feline elf mix. lustful thougths went on for a bit..before shaking his head some.
"We read about you, and your part in Dimitri's defeat, with the help of Morgan the White..an undead dragon. We were thinking that Morgan might talk to my twin to get him..her..to help. But Never thought we'd get to actually meet you."

Drow had a funny way of admiring each other didn't they? A look and a raised eyebrow, all the while daggers that were chucked at him were casually deflected or caught. "Jealous." That was amusing to a point, he didn't think he'd ever had anyone jealous of him before. "You're playing bargining chip with her? How...quaint."
Yet he didn't like the idea. A, it put Zahara on the war path toward him and he didn't care to deal with that at all. B, why give them anything they wanted when they were out to get him and destroy what little he did have on this damned plane. He considered Jarlaxle's question for a breif second. "I could bring down the plane without aid...it matters not to me." He'd die if he did that anyway too.
But Sevilin would rather die by his own hand over anyone else's. "Taking her...is of no use to you either. Surface trash is attached to her...and that blue skinned leash holder of hers would run to do her bidding on her whim...unless you're trying to bring Malik it you. Then again a good point..." Still he held his runic doings, as he started walking toward the three. "Why give you something that can be valuable to me?"
"I've never met a drow who thought twice about killing or backstabbing anyone. They etiher did, didn't, or were stopped in the process." And Malik himself taught her that lesson. The reason for her aggitation? She was worried...espcially of him getting the idea to get up and go somewhere. When he was gone her collar kept him close, without that collar on now, there was an innate pull to Malik, seeking what hiscollar hard provided. That and she was generally annoyed slightly. Though she did give him one of those sweey little Piper smiles. "I even know the sidenotes and hidden text." A little nod. "But yes I do, give you a sense of self realization and how through full bond you can indeed affect me."

She was laying on her back, head haning just off the side of her little nest. One ankle was across her knee, and her tail swiung lazily back and forth behind her.
"I would prefer the tree-tops. Furnature made of rough woods and rabbit hide. Vine suspension bridges, circular rooms." She didn't move as he came in. She had no need to, she was waiting for one thing only.
"Read my entry in that book, mmm?" She gave a sniff. "Well, I never exactly expected to be alive again."

"See that's what your missing. double dealign I can see. I ment physical backstabbing. as in shoving a dagger in my back. but hopefully, with any luck and some rather..interesting side developments..sevilin will be our little rune mage permenantly. and I know your worried. and I am not going anywhere. Even if I did get a cleric to work on my arm to be servicable, and it woudl take a lot of work..I can't get there fast enough. I can;t trust nightmare to go..she'd be more of a hinderance from chasing that ferret. and Serino wouldn't take me becuase he knows you'd be upset."
A grin.
"Your stuck with me here."
Onyx grinned lightly.
"That's the elf in you. My father used to tell us about his home, there was an elven city called Kelethin. it was entirely built in teh treetops of the Greater Faydark. round homes nad platforms, vine and rope suspenstion bridges. lifts to get to certain locations from the ground to the city. Though for a human settlement..seems kinda of..Amazonian."
His eyes took to watching her tail.
"So..you are..were...a shaman. were you a powerful one? like a priestess or a tribal leader?"

Jarlaxle sighed, he realy wish there were more drow like sevilin in this pittifluy bright and cheerful underdark. "She'd be still serving your purpose with us." replied the drow, "Unless, you are not ready o do what you want... I never expect you to be... weak like that." The daggers continued. thye drow was begining to wonder if he wasted nine thousand years honing his skills if one fighter/mage could match him so easily. What is the point of honing you skills if some little twit with a handful of mana can match what you worked for for nine thousand years. He might have to kill him just for being good at what he does.
"Are you afraid to lose the pawn? Or is she treally the queen behind you?" Jalaxle moved and tied the rope around Tarathiels waist. He the drew out his emptied right hand, and allowed the dagger to grow into a sword. The left did not cease to throw daggers the whole time. He watched the movements very carefully with his visible eye.
Tarathiel looked into Zahara's face, as that was pretty much all he could do, and felt his heart sink. How little he understood people or emotions wavered in his mind. The only thing he could trust was his ability to fight with his scimitars, asnd looking at Sevilin's magical ability to keep up with him made him realize how stupid that was. "I guess I have no reason not to destroy the plane."
Jarlaxle sneared, "Don't be too hastey, Lil'elfling."

"That's the half elf in me. We lived in trees and on the ground, in long collum type buildings that wrapped around the tree. One family per floor." She missed that simple life, defending her country, raising a family.
"Yes. I was a shaman. Powerful? Sure, you could say that." It as the reason the elders wouldn't let her onto the ruling council, they feared her. "I was more of a rebel." She purred with some happy memoreies.

"I wouldn't put that past any drow either." She tapped her fingers on her crossed arms, though made a motion of discomort. This drawing up posture was getting to her...not to mention her father's voice in her head everytime it happened. But a little nod. "Damn right he wouldn't...he cares about you too anyway, he just doens't like to show you that he does. He let you ride him without me, that says enough." Though she seemed to give a surrendering sigh. "I'm holding you to your word on that." Then a look at Kieran. "Are you alright? I'm not hearing the peanut gallery."
He opened his eyes, and watched them a moment. "Hm? Oh yes, Pip. I'm fine. Just still coming down off of adrenaline I suppose. After all, I think I had been waiting for that confrontation and it still took me by surprise." Though he was getting more uncomfortable...though he knew how to hide that outward and inward wise.
"Yes...but she'd be yours to place and play...and not mine. Surely you can see how I loose in the deal. While you are in no direct link to D'vinn...I am. And she's so much more useful to me and my own doings than you. Don't you know the secret to getting to D'vinn? Taking his pet." A point at Zahara. "She holds the leash on that surface elf just as tight as he does...but I can control her...look at how I have her now."
A smirk, even when a dagger caught him in the arm, though little blood seemed to flow from the gash oddly enough. The majority of blood loss was in the form of a nose bleed...yet blades had bit into his skin. Odd? Not to him, he had his means. He stopped in his tracks and stared a moment. It could be called respectful distance. "No woman rules me."
He looked at Zahara a moment, eyes moving to Kimmuriel, and then back to Jarlaxle. "If I let him go is he going to behave himself? Stand offs and dead ends are merely a waste of time after all."
