Hey all. I'm home.
The story so far on my WiFi: The problem is that my router is set on WPA rather than WEP. The only way to make my WiFi work is to change that setting, or get a DSi, which I don't see happening anytime in the near future. The only problem is that changing the setting would have to be done on ALL the computers in my house, and therefore take a long time. I wasn't the one that originally set up the network, so I'm not entirely sure how to do it, and I would hate to get someone else to do it for me. It also has the potential to screw everyone's internet up for a while which is also a bad idea.
Roy probably knew the vast majority of this already, but this is my piecing together of information. Long story short, I probably won't be battling for a while. If anyone has any suggestions aside from what I've already said, I'll take 'em, but I think these are my only options.

:S as far as i knew all computers could connect to WPA or WEP. the only difference is that one of them is more secure. can't rmemeber which... i think WEP is the more secure one, and WAP is the old outdated one xd
but I may be mistaken sweatdrop
EDIT: yah, I was rememberoring incorrectly...
WPA is the more secure one, but WEP is more widely used... either way... the only differecne is how it encrypts the data... I wouldn't think switching to WEP would be difficult though, as far as I know all computers are ready for it, you just need to know the Password and thats pretty much it. XD
either way... you'll figure soemthing out eventually, even if you have to just go to an internet cafe or soemthing.

An internet cafe would always work. I could just sit in the corner of like, Panera and smell the nice warm bread while playing pokemon. Sounds like a fun afternoon. WPA is the more recent one, so I would guess that it's more secure too. I wouldn't think it'd be difficult either, but I'm horrible at all things tech, so I dunno.
We have two desktop computers and three laptops. Rather a lot really...
On the bright side, now my sig is colorful!

well I know with my laptop.. I just search for access points, choose the signal, and then enter in the WEP password, and im connected...
so thats why I doubt changing it will be very difficult.
but if your okay with going to an internet cafe, then Id say go with that, just make sure to bring your laptop as setting up battles would probably be difficult otherwise xd

I'm good =3 was playing a GBA emulator... but Im thinking of switching over to playing Fallout... but I cant really talk in here and do that like iwth the GBA games...s o im not sure xd
