It's because I transferred schools on that particular year, and because I am learning foreign languages, most of the popular crowd in school thought of me as retarded, and humiliated me to the point of sheer recklessness.

They approach and treat intellectuals as lower than themselves.
Then again, not all people in that particular popular crowd are like that, for there are some who are popular because of niceness.
