Waaah...I think it's time to go back to sleep (even though it's only 4pm here). I'm feeling pretty sick still... Wouldn't want to spread germs to the guild and all. wink *infects the soup with horrible sickness and heads to bed.....in the future*

Dr. Fomite hollywood_addict Wow, it sounds like pets can have just as many problems as people! Do you think it's because people have altered the environment and technology so much or have they always had this many complex ones? Yep, just as many, and often of the same sort. I expect it's a combination. A lot of problems that are natural, a lot that probably show up more in domesticated pets because we've increased their lifespan over what we'd see in the wild (in the same way that happens in humans), and a lot that are directly or indirectly related to the altered lifestyle of the domesticated pet - with diet, genetics, and environment. Dogs can definitely be predisposed to cancer in a smoking environment, for instance. Genetics and in-breeding have definitely caused a large number of the problems we see in dogs, particularly giant & toy breeds or brachycephalic breeds (smooshed-face dogs - think English Bulldogs). Still, I like to think we're doing more good than bad for them in the long run. Most of the time.That's really interesting stuff! Is there a lot of environmental research being done on pets or is it more recent? I'm actually enrolled for this spring term in college for a chemicals in environment course.. I imagine that we'll be doing a paper about something... that may just be fun to start researching while I have a few more weeks off..

She does now Akimbo-san since I introduced them, and from what I've seen of them together, they seem to be developing a steady friendship. smile It's actually her b-day tomorrow in MN... she'll be 20!

Peppermint Elf ninja I'm bored.... and hopped up on sugar. crying Oh man, just be glad it's not expresso... that's some crazy caffine... I would recommend salsa dancing as there is a lot of quick movements necessary, but that may be me. Otherwise, DDR requires a good amount of energy or some other video games may?

Streamjumper hollywood_addict Streamjumper 3.14 Oh man. My brother's room is SO dirty--he has MICE in his room! My cats caught a mouse right outside of his room this morning. My Mother was so pissed, she spent most of the morning yelling at him--which is why I am up and EIGHTFREAKINTHIRTY. Haven't the cats been acting strangely around his room? LOL... do you have cats at home? I have two, but one of them is afraid of mice, and the other plays with them.. it's funny, but actually my dog kills mice... Luna and I have two cats. KC lusts after the birds that hop around just outside our appartment window and Snickers smites any bugs that make it inside with the ferocious hammer of hunger... and by that I mean that she loves to eat them. Cute/kawai! What kind of kitties? I have "unknown" -- both were strays, so this one might be tabbey? -- and my sweetie is a mute tourteshell.. she's super kawai! When she was little she used to eat bugs in my room for me (are both of yours and Luna's cats outside, inside, or both kind of kitties?), now she's getting old and is too lazy. However, she does come when whistled for.. anything cute your kitties do?

I've just got a bunch of crappo ones that came with the phone; I'm too cheap to pay for new ones. Yeah, other ringtones are expensive.. I only got 2 because they're like $2-2.50 a piece.. so, being Mass Comm. nerd that I am, I have "Raiders of the Lost Ark" and "Bewitched theme."

I just figured out by going on the internet over computer (I don't get how to do Nokia/Virgin Mobile on the actual cell phone) and now I need to learn how to do voice mail. I'm a huge "Without a Paddle" movie fan, and some buddies of mine at my previous college nicknamed me after Seth Green's character.. so now, I'm thinking I'm a huge film nerd as we have the same ringtone for the phone: Raiders of the Lost Ark... Anyway, I really don't know about paying like $30 a month... anyone know if money can carry over if I don't use it? It varies from company to company, so what cell company are you using? Virgin Mobile.. Akimbo-san recommended it to me, and my mother's been talking about getting me a new cell... the one I was using one cannot see anything on the screen, so one must guess what is being pressed and the reception just started going mad, so we got a new one so she can keep tabs on me... Some parents who need to know where kids are... oi..

Why call me? gonk That really stinks.. impatient people... my sleep is super irregular now, so I now have to stay up until like 3am, and in 2 weeks, I'll need to start getting up by 7am for 10 am courses everyday.. not going to be pretty, so this 9am stuff that I pulled today is early for me (average wake up Noon-1pm)... What time did they call? When does work start for you? How did they get your phone number at home? Was the call a real big "emergency?" I hope it all went okay...?
