Prince snorted and rounded on the two fillies, nipping them both playfully in the shoulder, then wheeled around and galloped off again, his wings flapping madly. He turned his head to look at them running after him, and pushed himself to full speed as well. "Now you can't catch me!" He called back.
Ghost diverted his attention from the foals and looked at Kipcha. "Hm?" He asked.
Evander froze as the boy reached towards him, then relaxed slightly and permitted the touch on his muzzle briefly. He snorted softly, only blowing smoke and continued his grazing beside the boy, scorching his grass before consuming it.

*Jacob watched Evander very closely, then got up on his hands and knees and began to act like a horse himself. He blew air at the grass, pretending to blow fire just like this horse, and then took a big bite and chewed it happy until his face scrunched up and he opened his mouth, spitting and wiping his tounge on his sleeves.*
Yuck! I don know how these silly old horses can eat grass it's so icky!!
*Sarah giggled quietly and held a large ring of small yellow flowers up, level to her face. She stood and walked towards Dreamcloud who lowered her head a bit to sniff at the ring of flowers she held. Sarah placed it over her neck, and Dreamcloud looked down at it, a bit unsure. A few seconds passed and nothing happened so she ignored the flowers and continued grazing, fearing nothing to happen.*

"I don't think so, your not getting away brother!" Lithea streched herself out, her tail held high and flowing behind her. She laughed and nipped at Prince's rump when she caught up to him. "Your it!" She raced ahead of him and turned around to head back the other way.
"Nothing." Kipcha shook her mane and swished her tail.

Jewel laughed and did a half turn and sprung herself to full speed, racing after Lithea, to get away from Prince. "C'mon Lithea!!" Jewel laughed as she looked over her shoulder to see Prince catching up. Jewel lenghted her strides and her speed seemed to become faster and faster, untill it couldn't go any more faster.

*Growing tired of the almost constant squeals and whinnies of the foals, Sepsis shut the noise out and looked back at the ocean behind her, between the caves and the evergrowing jungle. She almost grew tired of the island and the familiar faces and almost longed to simply fly away. She once again questioned if she even could fly, not remembering the last time she had lifted off the ground and felt the air beneath her hooves. She looked down at Moonstruck and nudged her up. She began to walk with her filly towards the caves, shouting out a word as to where she was going to the herd before trotting away, Moon nimbly on her heels.*
*As the two approached the caves, she began to gallop, faster and faster, taunting Moon with her speed. Moonstruck stuggled to keep up, beating faster and faster, pounding the ground with her little hooves, her heart fluttering and her lungs pulsing quickly, she whinnies after her dam, and as Sepsis spread her wings, she lifted into the air, looking down at her foal who circled round to follow her dam, trying to gallop right into the air after her. Desperation in her eyes, her chest burning. She could no longer neigh or even bleat as she had as a newborn. Sepsis descended quickly, touching down roughly and as she stopped moving and looked back at her little foal galloping toward her, her fell and collapsed.*
*Sepsis ran to her, horror in her eyes, she looked down at her foal, her chest heaving up and falling down rapidly, unbelivably fast. None of her legs looked broken, but she began to cough and onto the light grass came blood. She squirmed a bit before finally laying still in a small pool of her own blood. Sepsis backed away a few small steps, horrified that she was the cause of her foal's death. The foal's blue eyes went black Ans her anger and grief elevated, the sky quickly turned near black, thick, surging clouds engulfing the blue sky. Lightning clawed it's way down to earth, striking a tree or two and the beach. As Sepsis felt the sting of causing a death, her own chest began to ache, as did her head. She turned away, the pain in her head and chest growing and worsening. pounding in her head and expanding in her heart.*
*The pain continued until finally a small bolt of lighnint jolted down and struck her foal, a great flash. When the great light had faded, and the clouds began to subside, Sepsis looked up, finding her pain had gone and her foal's eyes were blue and she was breathing. A large white scar now left across her chest and up her throat, covering her face. Looking just like the bolt that had hit her as it surged through the dark clouds.*

Ghost looked over in the direction of Sepsis and Moonstruck and his eyes narrowed, something wasn't right, but he left the two of them alone. If they didn't return soon, he would go and see what was wrong, but for now, he was obliged to saty with the rest of the herd.
Evander looked up as the storm brewed unnaturally fast and hissed. "Great, more rain..." He said, and began backing into the shelter of a tree, but the storm subsided as soon as it had come. Looking at Dreamcloud with a puzzled look on his face, he moved back into the sun beside Jacob and hesitantly began grazing again.
Prince surged after Lithea and Jewel. His wing beats became slower, but more full and the sound of air rushed beneath them. He strides began to take longer to hit the ground. Suddenly, he was slightly airborne, no longer running along the ground, but hovering a few feet from it. "Woah!" he yelled out, his eyes wide with glee.
Ghost's eyes widened in surprise at his colt. A surprised nicker escaped him and he trotted to him, his face level with his colt's. "Well done, my boy!" He said with a wide, proud smile, nuzzling Prince. "Well, I guess it's time to start teaching you how to fly!" He said with a laugh, looking over at Kipcha.

Lithea looked back no longer paying attention to where she was running, but still running. She was watching her brother in amazement and wander.
Kipcha looked in Sepsis and Moonstruck's direction. She turned her head back to see what Ghost was so happy about. She walked over to Prince and nuzzled him. "Good job." She was pre occupied with what was happening to Sepsis and Moonstruck.
Lithea turned to go back to her brother but didn't realise where she was headed. All too late she saw Jacob in the grass, she darted to the side to avoid hitting the boy and smacked into Evander's side. With a squeak she landed in a pile on the ground next to the boy. She raised her head and shook it then froze, as she was only inches from Jacob.

*Sepsis, relieved that her baby was alive, encouraged her to stand and come back with her to the herd. She nudged her back, nuzzling her as she did. But not matter how much the young filly struggled, she could not stand. It was as if she had just been born. Panicing, Sepsis turned to run back to the herd, but before she made two steps, Moon squealed, wanting nothing more than for her dam to stay by her side. She coulden't leave, yet she couldent stay there and do nothing. She began neighing loudly towards the herd, hardly stopping to take a breath.*

Ghost heard Sepsis' panicing whinnied and started. "I'll be back in a minute. Keep it up Prince." He said encouragingly, nuzzling Kipcha briefly, then bolted off towards Sepsis.
Prince whinnied happily. "Look at me Momma!" he said, shifting his wings slightly into a tilt and gliding back to the ground. He heard Lithea's squeal and looked in her direction seeing her close to the human boy they had been warned to stay away from. He snorted and galloped to her side, flaring his growing wings and nudging her up. "Come on, sissy, let's go..." He said quietly, looking cautiously at the boy. He looked up at Evander and smiled. "Hi, Uncle Evander." He said, then galloped back ith Lithea to their mother's side.
Evander smiled and chuckled at Prince, watching the two foals run back to Kipcha. He looked down at Jacob and nickered lightly.
Ghost slid to a halt beside Sepsis. "What's wrong?" He asked her, then saw Moonstruck on the ground. He approached the filly slowly. "What happened?" He asked quietly.

Lithea paused long enough to curiously sniff Jacob. Knowing she would get in trouble if she stayed too long she stood back up. "I'm comming!" She stepped carefully around the boy before going back to Kipcha. She stuck close to Prince but constantly looked over at Jacob.
Kipcha laughed, "What a good job my little Prince." She tugged gently on his withers. "You should try and teach your sister to fly, hmm? After she apologizes to Evander." Kipcha nipped Lithea's rump sending her back to Evander.
Lithea shyly approached Evander. "Sorry Uncle for running into you." She cast a look over to Jacob. "Uncle Evander why does Daddy say we can't be near them?"
"Stay here Prince." Kipcha trotted over to Sepsis and Moonstruck. She dropped her head and nuzzled the filly, noticing the scar. "Sepsis what happened?"

Jewel watched in amazment as Prince flared his wings into the sky and flew. "Wow.." Jewel gasped, slowing down to watch. Seeing Lithea run into Evander and then fall inches away from Jacob, Jewel snorted and took a step forward to go see her, but then took a step back when she remembered what her mother said about going near the stange creatures.
Diamond stood over Storm as it pounded with rain, her colt still sleeping silently. As the sun appeared back, Diamond went back to grazing and shook her coat to get all the water out of it.
Storm lifted his head, and blinked his eyes opened slowly. The thunder had wokened him up, and Storm snorted softly. He was a little bit wet and he sprang himself up, now fully awake. He flapped his snow wings fourisly and shook his coat. Nuzzling Diamond he grazed next to her, ocainsly looking up at Jewel.

She won't stand up..She can't stand up...I was trying to teach her how to fly..And when I flew she tried but couldent, she fell and coughed up some blood....Then..Her heart stopped..I was so overwhelmed with anger and greif, clouds began to form and lightning struck her..Her heart started again...And now she has these weird scars everywhere..But she can't stand up.
*Even as she spoke, Moon struggled to stand, her legs were somewhat underneath her but no matter how hard she pushed against the ground her legs were too weak to lift her body more than a few inches from the ground.*

Ghost lowered his head and pressed gently on the filly's side, nudging her into a standing position. He allowed her to lean on him for support. "I'll carry her back to herd if you like.." He offered to Sepsis, concern in his eyes.
Evander smiled. "Ah, no need to apologize, Lithea, you didn't hurt me..." He said, a slight twinge of humor in his voice. He grew serious again. "I'm not sure if I should be the one to tell you that...I think that's your fther's story to tell..." He said quietly, then resumed his grazing beside Jacob.
Prince trotted up on the other side of Lithea beside Evander and shot Jacob a look of distrust. He snorted, tossing his head, and flapped his wings. He didn't like being around the humans, they made him uneasy...although he was curious about them. "Come on, sissy, I wanna fly again!" he said excitedly.

Lithea started to protest before Prince came up. She snorted and dropped her ears a little. "Ok." She turned with anyother glance at Jacob and nipped Prince. "How do you fly?"
Kipcha moved to stand beside Sepsis and nuzzled the mare. "I'm sure she'll come back around. She's a strong foal." She tried to sound convincing but her own ears flickered about.
