Gwendar:
"thank you Jane for your hospitality" he said to her thinking that at least one of them should thank her for her trouble.
"considering all of you are 'legal' servants of myself i must make sure you are all looked after.....if theres anything you need please just ask"
Sek looked at gwendar as if about to laugh.
"boy i thought you knew better....the elves may not have great castles like we do...but when it comes to war they are no amatures....we ourselves only triumphed becuase of our glorius conquest of the dwarves and of course the exploits of the almighty Tempestum the first emperor."
Sek turned and started to walk away. as for me rest may be out of the question but since this is now nuetral ground i am in need of cleansing and prayer. i shall be in the forest its always the best place to praise the emperor.
he was walking through the forest when he heard whispers.
whispers always meant that someone was saying things they didnt want others to hear.
this of course was something that made Sek suspicious.
he eventually came to see the elf bride of Gwendars and two other people.
one was a girl. the other WAS A WITCH!.
elementals they were called. they moved and shifted within the trees.
always mocking and tricking the emperors men into getting lost within the forest. always claiming ownership of the emperors land.
they were always the ones responsible for attacks on lumbering villages and the like.
"YOU CREATURE STAND YOUR GROUND" he yelled.
considering the previus events he should proceed carefully. if she was a friend to the elves then he would have to show restraint and interrogate her to see if she was guilty rather then simply execute her.
"STATE YOUR NAME AND TO WHOM YOUR FAITHFUL TO. THEN IF YOUR NOT GUILTY SUBMIT TO INTEREGATION"

he slowly walked around the lake.
its power seemed no where near as powerful as he expected.
the large pool of blood seemed to give birth to all forms of mutated small imp like creatures. all of whom quickly obeyed his word or met death.
"Lets see what sort of malicious powers i hold." he said looking nastily at one of the imps.
he summoned from hs skin several long dark chains covered in flame.
"Interesting" he said as he enveloped the creature and slowly tore it apart piece by piece.
"Now lets see what i can summon" he said lifting his hand
Wait!! this is the daemon within you.....you may like your new powers but do not over use such a gift......ur power may be great but such power is easily detectable.......for now it would be wise to stay hidden in your beloved darkness.
this was a suggestion he decided to listen too.

Nebride looked at Sek. "How dare you come here and speak to Ilana like that! She is a great friend and an ally here, and I will not have her treated with disrespect!" She stood in front of Sek with her arms crossed. "You may be a witch hunter and Gwendar's close friend, but there are limits to where my patience can go."

Jane grimaced and looked at Gwendar. "It seems your friend is making Nebride mad already. Perhaps you should go and stop him before he does something and then Nebride retaliates?" She grasped Gwendar's arm.
"Come--I will take you to them."

"Respect will be given to those who cooperate.....the fact i didnt kill her where she stood was me showing restraint.....AND AS FOR YOUR PATIENCE YOU WOULD DO WELL TO MIND MINE........AT A MERE WAVE OF MY HAND THE WHOLE IMPERIAL ORDER OF THE WITCH HUNTERS COULD CLOSE IN UPON THIS PLACE!" he started to calm down
"The fact is im loyal to the EMPEROR then to harmony THEN to my friends THEN to you......and his laws must be kept....her kind is on the witch list which means many of her kind have acted criminally in some way."
he looked Nebride directly in the eye.
"YOU may be a priestess and the glorious god may have spoken peace but the only reason i follow her laws is becuase the emperor tells me too. your only alive because Gwendar loves you and because the emperor may wish this alliance to proceed....if he doesnt then these moments will not help your case when your brought up on witch trials"
Gwendar:
"SEK!! WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOUR DOING!!" he yelled placing himself between Nebride and Sek
he didnt care if he was his friend or superior he couldnt let someone say those things to his soon to be wife.
"LOOK I ASKED YOU TO COME HER BECAUSE I THOUGHT YOU WOULD ACT CIVIL I GUESS I WAS WRONG!"
Sek:
"DAMB THE GODS WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO YOU GWENDAR!!....where was the loyal imperialist who smote the enemys of the emperor the man who never ounce flinched when duty was asked of him.....where was the man that made men three times his size cower in fear over your authority?"
Gwendar:
"HE FOUND LOVE.....HE DECIDED KILLING WASNT THE BEST WAY TO HANDLE THINGS!!
Sek:
"THE WITCH HUNTERS DO NOT KILL.....WE PURGE!"
Gwendar:
"You know.....the Daemon hunters where right.....the witch hunters order was a mistake"
Sek:
he very quickly struck Gwendar on the cheek.
he had managed to beat him to the ground with a single blow.
"BITE YOUR TONGUE!"
"YOUR THE LAST PERSON I WOULD HAVE THOUGHT TO MOCK US!"
Gwendar:
"NO to mock you im not one of you anymore....."
Sek:
"We all have our place.....The paladins protecting those within....the daemon hunters destroying the threats without...the Witch hunters destroying the threats within....that is my creed and i shall uphold it....it is for the people that i preform this necessary task...that fact i am hated is a consequence i must take. i shall leave.....but i assure you...although you may curse my name.....it is i who saves your life when a witch curses you....it is i who stops the hidden daemon from striking at you while you sleep....even if you dont see it......we keep the empire running."
he turned back to the small girl.
"Yes i am a witch hunter and i couldnt be prouder"

something was strange about this girl but he couldnt put his finger on it.
never the less it didnt stop him from taking out his amulet and rubbing the insignia

and with that he was gone.

i breathed a sigh of relief. he hadn't figured out what i really was. i turned to face nebride. "well. . . i have to go continue togan's training. and i need to ask you something. come see me whenever you have free time"
with that being said i turned and walked back to the house togan and i were sharing.
