Kaiori can sense two hearts beating rapidly, so she quickly turns away. She knows this rhythm rather well, but who was she to judge since she was also married and had never been truly faithful. Knocking back the last of her living cocktail she wanders over to join her children. All she wanted more from this party was a little fight with lots of yummy leftovers.

Bell swirls in her light lavender dress sad that this party was hardly what she was used to, but what could one expect when most of the people in the room had rather morbid history with one another. Griffin looks purely perplexed, for one reason or another.

"If nothing happens soon, I may leave." Kaiori mutters softly to her son and daughter. Bell looks upset and Griffin looks as neutral as ever. "Don't worry you two don't have to leave if you don't want to, but I'm getting too old for this sort of thing. Nothing gets my blood racing anymore." Griffin glares at this, so Kaiori sighs and stops her rather grim joke.

With Sairys gone at least one of the two trouble makers were out of the way, but what of Xol? Just outside and likely he would be denied re-entry to the temple after what he just pulled. Less than 5 minutes and he had already caused a scene, and got a few peoples tension levels to rise. It was exactly the reason the participants were asked to leave their weapons at the door. Certainly these two would be noted for future occassions. About then the musicians changed up the pace again, starting off on something a little more spirited and passionate, tango or salsa dancing type music. There was still pleanty of food and drink to go around so no one would be disappointed.

Xol reluctantly broke the kiss and slumped down as Phia leaned against his chest. Nearly identical thoughts were racing through his mind. What if they did decide to be together and D came back somehow? Not that it really mattered, 'till death do them part right... and he was dead. Too bad for him. He wondered what she was thinking.

"Phia, are you okay?" He asked, gently kissing her on the top of the head.

*Nana hopped in her seat having heard the clashing weapons meet. She was at least one of those who were already tense enough without weapons. Now she was on an even higher level of alert, and at least for Mastema, that meant she'd be sticking to him like glue. Not a bad way to spend time with his wife*

"I-I still am in love 'im...." She said weakly, her shoulders shaking a bit. "I-I'm sorry...cause I am with ye as well" She said, her forehead still against his chest, she couldn't look up at him, crying softly. She was so torn right now and it hurt terribly, she felt like she was betraying both men.

"Still in love with who D? He's dead hun... I know it hurts to hear that, but I saw it happen too. The way he went, there's no way back from that." Xol didn't want to sound too morose, however, it was pretty much fact. Not only was he trying to nudge her ever so gently to him, but it would be healthier for her to be able to move on as well.

"But still..." She said softly, she was still crying softly. Grief had grabbed ahold of her. It had been a year and still she couldn't let go so easily but, it was time to move on. She sighed heavily. Moving on was hard, but as hard as it was she did love Xol. It was strange to admit. She shook her head. She had the here and the now, she had her children, and now him. Sure, forgetting D wasn't going to happen, her children were a reminder of him. But she sat in Xol's arms now. "Xol...I-I do l-love y-ye." She said, still shaking and crying a bit, but she looked up to him with a glimmer of a smile on her lips.

"I know it's hard Phia. I've been through the same so many times... believe me. It will only get easier with time. You'll never forget and I wouldn't want you to forget, but we have each other now and I need one hundred percent of you." Xol said with an air of genuine feeling that could not be confused with anything but true love. It felt good to look at this woman, Phia, the object of his passionate, concealed love for so long.

"I love you too Phia, so much. I feel I can truly by happy with you... I'm going to make you so happy..." He chuckled, a boyish joy overtaking him as he lovingly kissed her on the tip on the nose. "Your smile is so beautiful..." Xol trailed off, locking eyes and smiling.

Phi smiled a bit more as she listened and blushed more when he kissed her on the nose, she nodded a bit and rubbed the tears from her eyes with a gloved hand. She looked up to him.

"Thank ye...really...fer everythin'....an' I'm sorry 'bout the past an' be'n so terrible to ye." She said softly. She looked around. "Pre'aps...'ere isn't such a good place...maybe we should get outta 'ere..." She said in her normally warm voice, getting to her feet and offering him a hand.

Xol grinned and grasped her hand tightly as he used her leverage to help himself up to his feet. "Why are you thanking me, love... I should be thanking you..." He chuckled, nodding at her suggestion that they find another place to talk. "Where did you have in mind?"

"Why would ye be thankin' me?" She asked, tilting her head to the side a bit. When he asked where she shrugged a bit. "I'm not really sure...I dun think tha' the mansion would be...right..." She said calmly, but she did want to get out of this damn dress...she felt rediculous, her thoughts were rather obvious as she glared down at it. She looked back up to Xol. "Why what do ye 'ave in mind."

Xol slipped his hand into Phia's as he walked beside her, holding on softly. "You've given me purpose... I was walking the lands aimlessly... tirelessly plotting revenge and what I would destroy and who I would slaughter next." Not that much would change, he still had a few basic agendas, however now he would have a reason to stay alive. "I agree. The Mansion wouldn't be... appropriate. My Keep?" Xol said, looking over her expression towards the dress.

Phi nodded.

"Tha' would be fine." She looked to Xol and sighed. "But all the others....Raven, Heswina...Sairys...ye seemed pretty 'appy with them..." She said gently but she was not so easily fooled. Phia did love Xol but she would not be crossed by him, of that she was sure, but still, she couldn't help but let herself think that he really did love her. She looked back down towards the dress, she'd make a comment about wanting to be out of it but knew that would result in Xol saying she was welcome to but he had already seen her naked.

"Raven I was happy with, I can honestly say that. I loved her. Heswina was an object, a toy to get what I wanted and to give me pleasure when I wanted it. Nothing else. Sairys, well... you know Sairys..." Xol could infer from her questions that she was being the slightest bit doubtful about his intentions. There wasn't much he could say to convince her if that's what she wanted. "I can only show you one day at a time that I love you Phia. Give me time and I will prove to you that I'm genuinely in love with you if you're in need of convincing."

Xol gave her hand a little squeeze and leaned in to kiss her on the cheek. "Don't get me wrong though... I still wan't to nail you." He whispered, softly nibbling on the bottom of her ear.

Phia nodded.

"Ye can't blame me though....given yer past." She said softly and smiled when he kissed her but threw him a glare when he said the last comment. Sex she definently wasn't ready for despite her body's primal hunger becoming all to apparent when she was around him. She felt it and when he bit nipped her ear she only hoped he didn't realize just how close he was do being able to cause her to knees to buckle and her to drop to the ground again. A small challenging growl came from her lips that she hadn't intended at all and she stiffened a bit.
