A small groan passed rei's lips as she slowly opened hereyes.Shewasnolonger on a blood IV but they were giving her drugs to kill the pain and keep her calm "Wha...."

Bakura was standing next to the bed, his eyes half-lidded and blank. He seemed to look at her when she woke up, but it was as though he was just seeing through her.

It took her a moment to register everything before she reached out to bakura "Bakura?" she said softly.

Bakura hesitated, and then shook his head. He was silent, but drew away from Rei as she reached out. Marik approached the bedside now. "Maybe some things should be explained to you." He said, narrowing his eyes. He had looked through Bakura's mind a little, and had pieced something together. "You know that the souls of some people were sealed in the Millennium Items, right? Well the Millennium Ring got two souls in it. One was Zorc Necrophades, big bad evil-ish guy, but you don't really need to worry about him. The other was part of Mister "Thief King Bakura" who you know. Up until now, the two souls have been working together for the same goak; getting the seven Millennium Items and killing the pharaoh by any means. But when you showed up... You had found a place with Bakura. So when you got hurt, part of him--thei theif-- wanted to help you, but Zorc didn't. Understand?"

"Good. I don't like this little mortal-loving Bakura. So I'm going to try and have the two souls be together again, got that?" Marik's eyes narrowed. "Meaning you have to stay out of the picture. Everything was fine before you showed up."

"Because you're the one I just stabbed and almost killed, and you're sitting in a hospital bed right now." Marik said, rolling his eyes. He held up the Millennium Rod threateningly, and he almost seemed to be about to hurt Rei again, but he only made it glow slightly. Bakura blinked, his eyes becoming clear, and shook his head.
"Dammit, Marik, if you use that thing on me again..." Bakura grumbled, running a hand through his hair. He paused when his fingers got tangled in the spots of blood from Rei. "Dammit."

"I'm just going to leave." Bakura said with a yawn, narrowing his crimson eyes at Rei. "You two are the last people I want to be with at any time."

It had been a few months and rei had been forsed to stay in the hospital.They dident let her move and nobody ever visted so both her mind and body had started to deterate.She staired blankly at the wall her eyes dull and faded,no longer having the bright spark they used to.
