I've been going over my stuff and I think I can pull it off with a spare Elysian and a certain set of legs. I want these models to look as "real" as possible, so casual passengers hanging out the doors on the lookout should do the trick.

I like the idea it's just that the execution is rather horrible, sorry. The Tau legs are a rather sloppy choice.

love most of the model, they guy on the back wing is hilarious, but i agree with brook somewhat, the tau legs are both a poor choice and poorly positioned, they work better with lighter armoured humans, like Guardsmen, than they do with top heavy scouts.
also, not certain if this was the point of the model, but there is a lot of stuff going on, it is very busy, and as such, i find myslef not really concentrating on any one part of it, so when painted, it may look quite messy (the focal point of the model, not the paint)

Lt. Brookman The Tau legs are a rather sloppy choice. fire - link the tau legs are both a poor choice and poorly positioned The Tau-legged scout is just something I put together from extra bits I had and based-it about a year ago and have left it unpainted, I just thought it would be much better use for a crew member with some level of sanity amongs the others. Poor choice perhaps, but it´s just for laughts.
As for poorly position; I dunno, it looks about right if he´s sniping targets behind the vehicle or those that it just passed. Would look abit better perhaps if a Left-Handed models would exist.fire - link also, not certain if this was the point of the model, but there is a lot of stuff going on, it is very busy, and as such, i find myslef not really concentrating on any one part of it, so when painted, it may look quite messy (the focal point of the model, not the paint) That´s whole point; it´s so messy and chaotic going on the vehicle that makes player wonder why the vehicle hasn´t crashed yet.
The model might make some sence when I get detailed pics of every crew members on the vehicle, haven´t decided should I paint it as DA (depends what and IF the new DA codex comes) or should I just paint it smurfs?
Althou the Emperor Pointy Stick color-scheme would make more sence....

What Fire-Link is implying is that the model is too busy and lacks a vocal point to act as the centre of the model. It is too busy all round and makes putting a proper focus on the model hard.

Usually a model has one singular point that draws your vision onto it and from there it allows your gaze to wander to the other parts.

Ok, been thinking about the model, how this sound: I´ll paint the speeder and the "wing" into smurfs, convert the "sarge" with marauder bits into a wolf and paint the rest of the crew members into DA, BA and BT members.

Word of advice, you might wanna put pics as links instead so that they don´t over stretch the page.
second, love what you did with the gargoyls(sp?), althou I´m not sure if the feathery wings is a right choice for nids that are mostly to bone-armours and leathers. Still, nicely done and nice colors. :3
As for the Vyper.... I see tubings going where the platform+gunner should be, you placing the platform somewhere else?

The model could use some shading, washing and cleaning up. 3nodding

not so keen on the multi choice of coloured scouts , and ya more shading if ya after a old look add some yellow and black hazzard stripes on the fins.

after watching apocalypse now i've been inspired to make my new guard army (which i am yet to get.) vietnam themed. i was thinking of just doing catchans with some cadian heads and useing valkyries as air cav. i already have some badly converted storm troopers and a master of ordinance (who is painted red), any suggestions?
