Aki finishes off whats left, and then she, Mioko, and Rina get up from the table. They all wave goodbye to Manami, and then head out of the cafeteria and out to the front gate. They march out into the biting cold; the sky was clear and grey, but the wind was strong and frozen. However, each of them acted as if they hardly felt it. The snow was about halfway to their knees, and came up past poor, tiny Rina's, but they all trudge on at a fair pace like there was hardly any.
After about 15 minutes, they come to a stop and peer off in different directions. You could see nothing miles and miles of cold, snowy plains, And Trabia far in the distance.
"Keep your eyes open. The best way to find battles out here is to look. Cuts down your travel time if you can see where your next opponent will be. If you see anything, let us know," Mioko says, shouldering her giant, five pointed shurikin.

"Good, let's check it out," Mioko says, marching off in the direction Blank points.
Aki grins, and she and Rina follow behind her.

Mioko instantly jumps into action. She hurls her shurikin at the nearest Mesmerize. It whirls through the air with a slight hum and strikes the creature across the chest, causing it to rear up in pain. The shurikin circles around like a boomerang, and Mioko catches it as she runs forward towards the charging beasts.
Aki runs forward as well, her sword drawn at the ready. She approaches the injured Mesmerize first, and leaps into the air, bringing her sword down upon the bleeding creature. She strikes its head, leaving a large gash. The Mesmerize swings it's blade at Aki in retaliation, catching her across the arm. Aki leaps back with a cry of pain as a spray of her blood lands on the pure white snow.
Rina moves closer to the battle, but does not engage any of the creatures. Instead, she raises her staff and sweeps it out on front of her, casting a protect spell. Her three companions glow with a faint light for an instant as the spell takes effect. She then focuses on the Mesmerizes, and casts a slow spell on the three closest beasts.

Aki regains her composure and charges the weakened Mesmerize again. She thrusts her sword into it's chest and hauls it upwards, tearing the poor creature open. It cries in pain, and falls to the ground dead.
Mioko charges another Mesmerize, hurling her shurikin at it. It hits this one in a similar fashion to the first, then comes flying back in her direction. Before she catches it, she casts a holy spell at the beast, and it recoils in pain, giving her the chance to throw her shurikin again. The second strike catches the creature across the neck, and it too falls to the ground dead. Mioko catches her weapon and stops for an instant to check on her comrades. Three down, two to go. Mioko and Aki share a look, then charge the un-engaged Mesmerize. Mioko throws her shurikin again, but misses the creature. The two girls reach it at the same time, and when they reach striking distance, they break apart, running to either side of the Mesmerize. As they pass, they both slash at it's sides with their weapons, then skid to a stop. They turn to face the creature, and watch as it falls to the ground writhing in pain.
Rina watches her friends attack, and feels a pang of sorrow for the creature as it falls. She walks towards it and kneels in the snow beside the dying creature. She gently puts her hand on it's snout, and strokes the monster's nose calmingly. Suddenly a dark power grows beneath Rina's tiny hand, and the Mesmerize convulses for an instant, then succumbs to her death spell. Rina stands and says a silent prayer for the fallen creatures, and turns to watch Blank finish off the last.

Aki looks down to her injured arm and frowns at the tear in the upper part of her sleeve. It didn't seem to be too deep, though it was bleeding pretty bad.
When Blank approaches them, Aki grins at the cute look on his face and kisses him on the cheek.
"Have fun?" she asks, with a wink.
"This is nothing. Lets go find something big!!" Mioko says.

Aki blushes deeply at his words, and casts an embarrassed glance to her friends. Neither Mioko nor Rina actually registered what Blank had said as odd, until they saw their friends face. Rina blushes as well, and turns from the group to hide her face. Mioko however, breaks into a mischievous grin. She walks up to Aki and wraps an arm around her friends shoulders.
"Shower.... eh? You were uh... workin' some 'magic', makin' it all.... hot and steamy were you??" she says, looking from Aki to Blank, staring him straight in the eye.

Mioko bursts into laughter, and gives Aki a light punch on her unhurt shoulder. Aki smacks a hand to her forehead, and gives a little giggle despite herself.
"I suppose we should go after him before he gets eaten by a Blue Dragon," Aki says, then sprints off after him with a smile. Her friends exchange an amused look, then follow the couple.
