"Oh your not a potato? You look so similar..." She said, almost sadly as the odd man threw a fit on the table. Turning to the Karythelia she beamed with delight. "Did you ever hear the tale of the bear and the boiling pot? I heard a bard sing it when I was young and it makes me think of this odd one. Breathing in she began in a light soprano.

The young bears starves in the summer heat
no food was found for him to eat
yet kindness paid it a due
a boiling pot full of stew
to lull the young child to sleep..."

Breaking almost from a trance she bows to everyone. "...Sorry I dont know what came over me, that song hasn't been sung in a long time..."

Gerbo quieted his ranting and sat back down at the table once more.

"Ah so we have a Bard, and a want to be Bard! I'm I supposed to be the child that gets eaten by the bear? Or did the child kill the bear to make the stew?"

"I happen to know alot of old Gnomish rhymes from my childhood! Would you like to here some!?!"

"It's... well its a lullaby for children. The bard that sung it to me was my mother..." Covering her face with her hands she shivered a bit before removing them. "She called me her little bear child since I was born under the star of the bear. We traveled alot and she got ill, so getting food was hard. One wise old man brought my mother a pot of stew and told us tales of fantastic places and magical things... he looked like you do." Smiling she stood looking out at the darkness of night. "Perhaps It's best if I go now, thank all of you." She said bowing to everyone.

*cough*

"A gnome's nose began to glow,
He curled and froze his toes.
Now he's known by every gnome
As the glowing nosed, frozen toed gnome."

*ahem...*

"I'm not too tall but that's okay
There are better things to be anyway.

People come in every shape and kind
And the way I am suits me just fine.

There are many good things about being short
Here are some samples from my report:

When snowflakes fall, if you think of it,
You are the last one that they hit.

Walking under trees some people get stuck
You don't even have to duck.

When Christmas lists need delivery
You're small enough to sit on Santa's knee.

When you're playing hide and seek
You won't be found until next week.

Short or tall, it's plain to see
Which of these I'd rather be.

I'd rather tell jokes that make people laugh
Than be as tall as a giraffe.

I'd rather learn to play guitar
Than be tall enough to jump over cars.

I'd rather be an actor in a play
Than be too tall for a doorway.

I'd rather have friends and family
Than be taller than a tree.

I'd rather blend in with the crowd
Than have my head stuck in the clouds.

I'd rather not grow too tall too soon
Than bump my head upon the moon.

I'd rather read books about Earth and Mars
Than tangle my hair up in the stars.

And the very best thing about being small,
If I ever trip,
I don't have very far to fall. "

"What did you think?"

Walking into the tavern, Talos starts to scream at the top of his lungs. "What horrifying rhythmic meter is this! That doth make my ears bleed and scorchith mine eyes!" Talos notices that it was Gerbo emitting the wretched noise. "I should have known it was you micro mage." Suddenly leaning over, he begins to vomit profusely on the floor. "The English language has been slain this day..."

Gerbo looked over at Talos and sneered at him.

"Well if it isn't the thiefly one! Well if you would have just heard, it was supposed to be a gnomish "Child's rhyme!" I'm sorry If i have studied spells and magic's instead of fluffy elvish poetry!"

Gerbo jumped from the table and grabbed a bottle of dwarven meed before making his way up to Talos.

"Here you go friend, Drink up and mellow your stomach! It's of dwavish make and aged in a barrel of pure Gemstones for over 200 years! It's called Glitersbeard!"

Sneering in between groggy expulsions, Talos spit on the ground. "I don't need your horrifying elixir. Why didn't you just bring me the gemstones, those would have calmed my stomach far more! As for your gnomish child's rhyme, if that is what it actually was, I say to you BAH! There is hardly any statements about boogers or silly monkeys! How can you have a child's rhyme without those! Furthermore, you are receiving my clerics bill for making me spew. Perrian! Mop this up!"

"Sorry, no. I'm not a janitor here." He said then turned to
Karythelia. "Excuse me, miss. I'll be back soon." He said and bowed to
Karythelia. He then turned to walk off and walked to Fury. "Hello Fury. How are you doing? You wanted to speak to me?" Perrian said to Fury.

Fury looks up at Perrian's approach, a smile of welcome upon his face. "Ah, hello Perrian. I'm sorry I didn't mean to disturb you, I just wanted to acknowledge the presence of a friend among our peers. I had nothing pressing to discuss. Although I am looking forward to our Dragon quest; that should be a tale worthy of our future descendants. Hopefully we will be able to begin it soon. Have you managed to acquire any further information in regards to the Dragon itself?"

Perrian sighed. "I have no information except for the map I still have. Hopefully we'll be able to leave soon, I just need to finish some business first. Sorry for the delay, friend." Perrian said and sat down at the table with Fury. "How have you been doing?"

Fury ponders the question, taking the time to actually think about how things have unfolded since first entering this town. Images of who he was, what he has accomplished, and the new desires for his future waft gently across his mind's eye, bringing a sense of peace and tranquility. "I must say, I have been doing quite well. I have found much of interest within this town and it's surrounding environs, and I can hope to find much more in the future. My life was once filled with blind purpose; now I see it is better to enjoy the life we are provided, and the people within it."

"It does have form Gerbo. And personality if you can call it so," Karythlia grinned, still sitting at the table,"And I didn't know you could describe my style of poetry as fluffy..."

Watching some of the heart felt reunions made her giggle uncontrollably, so she covered it up by downing the rest of her alcohol. The bard's composure restored she began to idly inspect her perfectly manicured nails. "Though I have to admit I prefer tall men," the half elf mused aloud.

The door to the tavern swings open again as Petra cheerily walks in, her hand around the wrist of Kail'igen, who she is leading into the cozy inn. She turns back to him as she walks in, smiling radiantly. "Aw, I know you don't like crowds, but I think it could do you good to relax a little." Actually, Petra thought, it will do me good to be in a cheerful place like this...I should like to be able to meet more people here, as well.

She leads Kail to a table, holding his wrist the entire time. She seats herself with an excited smile. "What do you want?" she inquires of her companion. "I obviously can't drink anything strong"--her fingers touch her white dress, symbolic of her nun's training--"but that doesn't mean you have to hold back on my account or anything." Petra feels happier already, being in a warm, comfortable place with other people. She scans the inn happily before her eyes return to Kail.
