Cain growled low in his throat and his eyes started to turn red. "I can't believe him. Ranpha is waiting for him and he's making nice with Hikari. And he hit you. You're strong and all but the difference between a human hitting a demon and a demon hitting a human is enormous. When demons hit things we crack walls open, you just give us redmarks. No matter how hard you hit him he never should have hit you back. And then he ran away like a coward."He held her close. He wasn't angry at himself for letting her get hurt since he knew she could take care of herself, but the fires of hell did not burn nearly as hot as the hatred he felt towards Ran at the moment.

Haruka hesitated and walked towards them, "Nii-chan? Whats wrong with your friend?" SHe cocked her head to one side looking at Novemeber with worried eye's, "Did that mean Ran person do something to her?"

Cain let his eyes slide closed as they turned crimson and another growl erupted from his throat. "Ran slapped November, something I can not forgive, even of a demon. I should have left him in hell." His growling continued and he kept his eyes closed, not wanting either of them to see the catlike shape they had taken on.

::feeling his grwl as well as hearing, she pulls back and takes his face between her hands:: Cain, look at me ::firmly, ignoring her own tear stained cheeks:: i was stupid for hitting him in the first place... please please please don't do something stupid too..

Cain's eyes slid open slightly, looking sort of narrowed. He leaned forward and kissed her gently on the lips, though it was only brief. "November, I love you, I do. But I can't forgive Ran for what he's done. He's always done things like this, but before he didn't ever claim to love someone. He's done this too many times for me to let him get away with it." He let his eyes slide closed again and laid his forehead against hers.

Cain sighed. "I won't regret whatever I do, I can only promise you that November. And that I won't kill anyone or do anything to get killed. I coudln't leave you again and that would be Ran's easy way out." he said, seeming a bit disgusted as he said Ran. His eyes slid open as he looked at her. "You might as well know what you're getting into with me, I transform when I become rather angry."

His gaze softened slightly and he brought his hand to her face, rubbing her cheek with his thumb. "I could never be mad at you November, and if I was I wouldn't hurt you. You can be sure of that." he said, kissing her forehead. He was afraid to do more, afraid his own shaking hands would accidently hurt her.

i believe you ::softly. but did she believe him? what she had seen in his eyes scared her... did she really believe that when he lost his temper he wouldn't make a mistake and hurt her? she didn't know... did she care if he did? yes, she didn't like pain any more than the next girl... but if he needed her then she'd face the possible danger and hope that his control was enough that he wouldn't hurt her...::

Cain gently wrapped his arms around November and laid his head on top of hers. His eyes slid closed as he was calming down slightly and his eyes were crimson but without that animal shape to them. "Just don't leave me, please." Not like everyone else. Believe in me please.

::she shifts slightly, thoughts running thorugh her mind. belive in him... she could tell that he needed her to believe in him...but did she? yes, she did... she belived Cain would never hurt her intentionally.... she could belive in their friendship if nothing else...:: of course i wouldn't leave you, Cain.... i told you i wouldn't, remember?

He nodded. "I know, but so many promises have been broken in the recent past. I don't doubt you, I guess I just need confirmation. " he let her go and looked at her face, his eyes back to thier normal soft blue color.
