Xoey woke with a start, the kind of start that sent her flying into her ceiling. She would have been screaming, but the slayer couldn't breathe, the air escaped her as she desperately sucked, trying to control her breathing. She was drenched in sweat, as were the sheets she was wrapped in. Her knuckles were dead white, gripping her blanket. Eventually the grip loosened, and her breathing steadied, though the sweat remained on her. That damned dream, again. She needed another shower, she hadn't even started kicking a** and she already smelled like a gym sock. Or at least, what she'd imagine a gym sock would smell like.
Upon returning to her nook of a room, this time a clean kind of wet, she went over the events of last night. Killed a vamp, stabbed a demon, made a small fortune. All very normal. And then, she got into a brawl fight with a deadly witch with a brunette she didn't even know. A female brunette. The whole thing reeked of magic and evil, even the parts that didn't involve black veins or finger-lightning. She should look into it, except for the not knowing where to start part.
Pursuing the brunette might lead to her losing her head again, and she might slaughter an innocent puppy who looked at the other girl funny. And she liked innocent puppies. She could go to the bar, but she doubted that they would welcome her with open arms and be big with the giving of information. A more "GTFO and pay for the damages" approach was what she was used to recieving after such things occured. Or, she could find the witch.
And die.
So, she would just have to pretend it had never happened and never go after any portion of that night again. She should just block off her memory, probably. Concentrate... concentrate... all better!
Except not.
Still, she was starved, and looking for some action, despite all the daylight. The slayer got dressed and went out, walking towards her usual breakfast cafe, The DeLite. Tacky, but cheap, and conveniently located near her stomping grounds, as well as that of the dead.

Hyperion_Hell CONNOR HAD BEEN IN THE MIDDLE OF TAI CHI, AND HIS LEAN BODY WAS TREMBLING WITH EXHAUSTION. HE HADN'T STRETCHED HIS MUSCLES IN A LONG TIME, AND THIS WAS HARD WORK, NO MATTER HOW SERENE IT LOOKED. THAT GIRL CAME BUMBLING DOWN THE STAIRS AND FLOPPED ON HER a**. HE LOOKED DOWN AT HER AND TRIED TO REMEMBER HER NAME. "BUFFY'S SISTER, RIGHT?"(GOTTA GO TO WORK) Dawn nodded before passing out on the spot, it was late and she was rather drunk. She had never drunk anything like that before and knew she would be paying for it in the morning. She had to find Xoey in the morning to make sure that she was alright and then talk to Buffy and Willow. After a few hours worth of sleep Dawn wakes and decided that a good greazy feed is in order and heads out to the cafe which she loves. The DeLite is a great place for hanging out if you want to be alone. She arrives at the place and is surprised to find the girl that was fighting with Willow the night before. "Xoey" Dawn said as she gets closer.

Buffy snorted at the thought of slaying in the buff... and that thought led her back to Willow.
She grinned at Angel, grabbed the sheet and stood up, wrapped toga style, and walked directly into the adjoining shower for a quick cleaning. She washed her hair and all that was in between that and her toes, then got out and dried. She recalled Steph and Phoenix had shopped the day before, and was interested in checking out whatever new gear they'd brought home, but could hardly go down in a towel. She walked over to Angel, who looked just gorgeous in black, as always. Although, she considered, now that he could tan a little, white would look just beautiful. Angel in white. She laughed at her own dorkiness, then stood on tip-toe. "Bathroom's free if you wanna brush your teeth and wash your face- not that your breath isn't just lovely." She blushed in consternation.
Shaking her head, she walked to the closet to consider her options. Then she realized she'd never gotten dressed in front of him... and though it was ridiculous, considering the things they'd done with and to each other since his humanity... she was still shy about being naked in front of him. She opened a drawer in her dresser and pulled out some white undergarments, putting them on as quickly as possible, and then very elegantly tripping on the thong when she tried to pull it on under her towel.
She landed face down on the floor, thong half on, towel over her head, legs jumbled. Oh - my - god. Buffy scrambled to her feet, face flaming and ears burning, and went back to the closet grabbing a sky blue sweater and black leather pants. "You saw nothing. Nothing at all." She still faced the closet, and adjusted the clothing without falling. "Goin' downstairs." And she left with as much dignity as she could muster, ending up in the kitchen.

Dressed up in a green peasant skirt and a cream knit top, Willow left her bedroom and entered the one they'd put Kennedy into. She sat there on the edge of the bed, thinking of the night before. She couldn't tell her best friend about Dawn's antics and the resulting mess, so she spilled to Kennedy, knowing she was still in a coma.
"So then, I'm there, all brown eyed girl, lightening shooting out, trying to kill some would-be slayer girl who couldn't have been more than 12 years old - over DAWN?! Geez louise, Kenn, you would have just died. I almost just died. That Xoey girl almost just died. And the worst part? I thought I'd figured out how to control myself, no matter what. But Dawn pulls some mojo outta her butt, and Boom, I'm wonky wacky wicked Willow. Again."
She'd finished the story, and sighed. Time to go, or something. She leaned forward and pressed a soft kiss to Kennedy's brow. "As soon as I am sure I'm in control, I'll figure a spell to get you out of this. I promise." She stood, then remembered. "Oh! Amy's back- Dammit I forgot to tell Buffy. Amy, that nasty little thing....She's back. She tried to be all sorts of friendly.. but I'm not fooled. I'm gonna pay her a little visit." Willow left the room, whispering, "Wake up soon, Kennedy. Please."

Before Phoenix had left the house that morning around 10, she'd written down the address of the place she'd seen the nest. She had spotted a little dive with the unfortunate name of "The DeLite" in the vicinity of the nest. Unfortunate cuz, damn, this food sucks, she thought. She'd gone out with all sorts of bravado, but now that she was a few blocks away, and armed with just 2 stakes, a couple blades and a vial of holy water, she was hoping to wait til some of the troops arrived. Or a troop. Just one will do. She drew out her breakfast as long as she could, calling the waitress over to refill her cup of coffee. "Thanks," she murmured, and added enough sugar to choke a horse, grinning unabashedly at the girl sitting a few feet away. "Sweet tooth."

Xoey heard her name called from behind her, and turned away from her crossiant to see the Brunette from before. After a short pause of shock, she pulled forth the wooden cross that was hung around from her neck and pushed it towards the girl. "You witch," she seethed, "What did you do to me last night?" So much for keeping away from the whole thing. She'd brought two short sabers, having had the plan to check out a possible nest, but witches were technically people. Besides, it might not have even been this girl, Xoey reminded herself. There was a powerful magic-user at the bar just a step away from the brunette. She lowered the cross a bit and touched her arm, sighing, returning to her crossiant. "Who are you?"

Amy had finished up her morning jog, this time successfuly doing it in the morning. She had been thinking over her next move. So far, everything she'd done had barely been noticed, and really had been more circus tricks. Real evil was slightly more difficult than she had originally planned.
Hungry, the witch stepped into a cafe that was on her route, The DeLite. She stepped in, and found herself presented with pieces falling into her lap, once again. She smiled. It was nice when people gathered for you. Two slayers, the key, and a group of vampires in the corner. The undead she decided to ignore for now. They'd probably stick around. It was Dawn she suddenly recieved a profound amount of interest in. Rare that the Scoobies would let her go out without anyone watching over her, Amy thought, then saw her talking to one of the slayers.
Oh. They didn't.
"Hey Dawn. Remember me?" she flashed a toothy grin as she sidled up next to the slayer's sister. The former rat cast a glance towards the vampires. "Buffy didn't put you on slaying duty, did she? I knew you were doing the whole training-to-combat-evil thing, but should you really be chasing vamps with no powers?"

CONNOR WOKE UP AND HAD SOME CEREAL IN THE KITCHEN. HE HADN'T TOLD ANYONE, BUT HE'D FOUND A JOB WORKING FOR THE LOCAL PAPER. IT DIDN'T PAY MUCH AT ALL, BUT IT WAS SOMETHING TO DO. HE STILL HADN'T BEEN ABLE TO TALK TO HIS FATHER. IT WAS GETTING RIDICULOUS NOW, AND HE THOUGHT HE MIGHT HEAD HOME TO CALIFORNIA IF ANGEL DIDN'T MAKE SOME TIME FOR HIM SOON. HE SAW A NOTE ON THE KITCHEN TABLE FROM PHOENIX WITH THE INFORMATION THAT SHE WAS SLAYING THIS MORNING AND WOULD LIKE COMPANY. HE SIGHED IN FRUSTRATION. THAT GIRL WAS ALWAYS DOING SOME IRRITATING s**t. DAMMIT. INSTEAD OF EATING AND GOING TO WORK, LOOKED LIKE HE WAS HEADING DOWNTOWN TO SAVE THAT REDHEADED BRAT. GUESS HE OWED HER ONE, AFTER HITTING HER WITH HIS STANG. HE WONDERED IF HE SHOULD FIND ANGEL TO GIVE HIM A HEADS UP, THEN SHRUGGED. NAH, NO NEED. CONNOR COULD HANDLE IT.

Phoenix had been so busy thinking about what she was about to do that she didn't even notice Dawn until the girl she'd told she was a sugar addict to turned on Dawn and started tellilng her off. Phoenix stood up. And then some other chick came in and started talking to Dawn. What the hell? "Hey, shortbread. What are you yelling at her for?" She stood next to Dawn, both of them towering over the little girl. "Who she is is none of your damned business." Personally, Phoenix could give a rat's a**, seeing as she really didn't know Dawn at all. But they shared a roof, however temporarily, and to Phoenix, that meant family.

Her eyes flickered a bit. Kennedy could still feel the exhaustion spreading through her body. How long was she sleeping? Did she sleep enough? Somehow, Kennedy thought she didn't. Her eyes gazed at the ceiling. Too hurt to get up.
Her mind suddenly tuned a voice for her. Willow. Yes, it was Willow. Was she in the room while Kennedy slept? She tried hard to remember. Goodness. She sat up on the bed to only find new aches spreading like a spider web through her body. She lied back on the bed. Her mind seemed more at ease knowing Willow came to see her. Another familiar pain struck her as a soft moan exits from her lips. She turned her head to face the window.
"I want waffles."

Xoey looked at the girl as she approached Brunette, whose name apparently was actually Dawn. She eavesdropped on their conversation. Slaying duty? Vamps? Suddenly she sensed it. Crap. That possible nest had become an actual nest. She was about to get up to do the deed, when a red-head came and violated her private space. Feeling tiny next to the three girls, Xoey stood up.
Didn't help.
Still, she tried to look as menacing as possible towards the other original character. "I wasn't yelling at her. And I think who she is is entirely my business, considering what happened last night." She wanted to grab her crossiant and continue eating it, but that wouldn't be dark and cruel and menacing, so she stood her ground, temporarily forgetting about the nest.

Gazing at the window and how the rays og the sun dance against its glass soothed Kennedy's mind back to sleep. Maybe she will have enough energy to get up and eat the next time her eyes open.

Phoenix was now intrigued. The little chick was spunky. And she had a buttery croissant. She leaned in and grabbed it, taking a huge bite, and mumbled, "I'll buy you a fresh one, this one's all cold and s**t." Crumbs flew. Phoenix swallowed. "Sorry." She took another bite, swallowed, and asked, "Dude, what happened last night?" She smiled at the shortcake.

Willow had left Kennedy and went downstairs when Connor flew out of the kitchen and out of the house. Interesting. Willow decided to follow, and ran to her car, following Connor's mustang. She parked outside a diner and watched as Connor parked, then pulled away. What the hell? She began to walk back to the car when she saw Dawn through the glass window - standing next to Amy and that Xoey b***h. Willow's face contorted with anger. If they hurt Dawn....
