Certainly she was not at all pleased with his choice of words. If she wanted to prevent a fight from breaking out, her next choice of words would have to be picked out just right. However the pride within her would not allow her to say so otherwise. Who did he think he was answering in such a manner? She was an honorable warrior under Lord Odin's servitude. There was no way she'd take what he said about her ever so lightly. She had a sense of pride and honor to keep for herself, even if she didn't want any fights breaking out.

The grip on her sword loosened, trying to tell the kitsu in front of her that she meant no harm. Yet, just like Kurogane she too was rash and quick to react. Her death glare loosened upon him, yet her eyes still burned fiercely with passion. "Who are you to say such things to me? You are the one who rolled down the hill, even if you were not spying you are still an accomplice of the spy. State your business here." She demanded strongly.

"Kuurogane-sama.... Sakura-san I'll be right back I am going to try and stop kurogane-sama from getting into a fight." Syaoran flew up and landed over to the two kistu's. "Uh Kurogane-sama how about you go back up the hill? Sorry for my friend he is just always in a bad mood." The kistu looked at kurogane-sama.

"Kay!" Sakura smiled and watched syaoran-ku fly down.

Altair was shocked. but he didn't show it. He ate his sushi and wiggle his tails. He thought that Ichijo would atleast wait till they had known eachother a few days or so. Not just about a hour or two.

Collista might not have been able to see the expression of discomfort, hidden as it was by his cloaked features, but the fact that he was practically radiating the feeling might have helped her gain a measure of understanding. "I will admit to being taken aback..." He mumbled, struggling with the option of getting up and taking a few steps back or remaining where he was in order to appear as solid as he pretended. "Few tolerate my company, and even fewer accept it. You have requested it. Such an act is... unheard of."

The wraith could smell her this close, and he was familiar with the scent of displeasure that emanated from her thick fur at his bumbling replies. He felt as though he'd slipped out onto a frozen lake and the only thing between him and chilling, watery torture was a very thin pane of ice. The kitsusagi couldn't tell where it was weak enough to give, and he was uncertain about pushing his luck on the matter.

But...

"Why?" He requested finally, voice grave and infused with true puzzlement. "You know so many and have the opportunity to meet and enchant many more. Why would you ask this of me?"

This time another one of his accomplices appeared. Yet this time the kitsu seemed younger than the one who fell. His face carried a soft yet sad expression to it. His brown eyes had fierce determination within, yet they also carried a certain tone of kindness in them. The young kitsu was almost like a walking contradiction, yet somehow he seemed to soften Lenneth's expression.

Before she even realized, her pride got the better of her. Taking in a breath, she exhaled slowly in order to calm her mind. She was all too used to the harsh environment of 'survival of the fittest' in her old world she forgot to abandon some of her more tense personality. Old habits die hard, as they say. But she had little patience for these horse playing games. And one of her pet peeves were others spying on her. Her warrior instincts would never live that one down no matter how hard she tried to tame it.

Taking in another breath, she replied more calmly than before, "My apologies, black furred kitsu...My pride got the better of me. Still, I wish to know why your accomplice over on the hill was eavesdropping."

She stared at him for a moment with disbelief. This was just like deja vu. In middle school a friend of hers asked her the same thing, only with different words. To this day she still never quite got the gist of his question and it remained so with this one too. She tilted her head sideways, her ears perking up slightly at the thought.

"A date? Oh, do you mean like go to the library or something?" She asked innocently, unable to grasp the meaning behind his words. Haruhi was a little naive in this department, ignorant too to an extent. Even if he responded negatively towards her words, she wouldn't know how to respond simply based on the fact that she didn't know what he meant in the first place. Probably worse than straight out rejection was the other person not knowing the meaning of those words.

Even though she was older now, Haruhi never got the chance nor cared much to learn of these things. Her mind wandered for a bit as to the meaning to his words, yet she still couldn't come up with a conclusion to his liking. "Or did you mean the food 'date'? I don't think you can go out on that, though," she chuckled to herself.

Raistlin just shook his head, if the intruiging male decided to engage the battle-hungry female, he was sure he would be in for a good show. He shrugged. So be it. His attention was drawn by the edge of the woods, where he spotted some daisy's. They were helpful in some concotions. With a light spring in his step he made his way over and picked a fair amount, and stored them in a pouch. Upsetting the pollen, in the process. His throat constricted in that all too familiar way, he doubled over, kneeling on the ground clutching his staff tightly. He coughed and coughed, barely drawing breath in to cough again. He didnt need to command his brother for the tea, Caramon was already on it. Not that Raistlin could have spoken to his brother, he could barely breath.

Caramon handed his brother the tea, a look of worry never leaving his face much to Raistlins hatred. With a flick of his wrist he sent his brother away, to do something else other then pity him.

"Sakura-chan, I believe it's time to make our presence known." Fai looked towards Sakura, knowing she wished to be by Syaoran's side. He began his descent down the hill, Sakura following and Mokona inside the hood of his cloak. He made his way between Syaoran and Kurogane, giving the female kitsu a smile. "My apologies Miss,"and Fai gave a slight bow,"but the purpose of my spying meant no harm. I was merely searching for something of value to the princess. And you'll have to excuse my friend's behavior, he is not the friendliest being around! My name is Fai. And what may we call you?"

Kurogane just raised his brow at the mages actions and gave a slight grimace. 'What a suck up.' Kurogane thought it best though to hold his tongue, for now.

She might as well have told him that she enjoyed his presence because he was as welcoming as a wall of granite and as conversationally skilled as a platter of calamari for all he understood. The warmth of her smile caused him to rise, the gesture controlled so that he didn't bolt off into the water just to escape from this newest development.

"You're an adult," he stated, a little desperately obvious in his confusion. "Why should anyone treat you otherwise?"

He was facing her, the gap between them had opened far enough so that he could no longer scent her unique aroma, his debilitated nose catching only the wet smell of the lake. The jingling of her earrings felt like a jolt down his spine, and the vampiric kitsu couldn't understand the fight or flight panic beating like battered wings inside his skull. He was unused to talking for such long periods, especially with one who was so willing to overlook his glaring flaws.
