To be certain, the Sannin Yokou did many things in her life...but getting onto a flying horse (huh? with antlers? - her mind helpfully registered)...all in all, it was nerve-wracking. Almost fearfully, she winced, shutting her eyes almost involuntarily when Pegasus moved, and she clutched closer to Marcus.
Ah, how ironic. Though the Hyuuga clan admired the birds of the air so much for their flight, was perhaps this fear of it also somehow naturally induced by the curse of Kami-sama...?
The wind was chilly... Sometimes, Yokou really regret her clan's choice of dress... Sure, traditional clothing were nice and all...but they can get quite impractical, especially in the mountains. To her surprise, almost as if answering the thought, a soft, warm blanket was slipped around her. Marcus began talking, and slowly, almost cautiously, she opened her eyes.
"Oh!" A soft, surprised gasp escaped her as pale wide eyes, like that of dragon pearls, took into sight the bird's eye view in all its splendor. All over Iwa, preparations (or completed) for the Winter Festival were being executed, transforming the village with colours of varying richness...but all the even more splendid, the majestic beauty of the cradling mountain range...the lap of the valley that nurtured Iwa since its early days...

"When the day breaks, I want to bring you back here." He points to the ranges to the right of the village, "When the sun strikes those, mountains, it bathes the world in a light almost like its from another world... it's ungodly..." he becomes lost in thought but soon comes back to his senses and shakes his head.
"Oh, yea before I forget. The kids of the orphanage normally get a Santa to come and deliver presents to them. The guy who was suppose to do it this year got sick so I volunteered to do it but I could really use a Mrs. Clause or if your not into that, you could be one of my elf helpers, what do you say? All you have to do is put on a costume and look cute and be polite. You already have 2 of the 3 things done."
He smiled and looked to her, "Come on, its for the midgets... please?"

A brilliant smile. "I'm certain that it will be."
Yokou listened to Marcus' story about how he ended up as - oh, so Santa Claus was the name - this year. One perfect eyebrow arched suspiciously. Before she carelessly agree to anything and get herself in trouble again... "Uh-huhh...so...think I so quickly forgot about 'that' huh...?" By 'that', Marcus could play dumb, but he should know very well she meant that...ungodly outfit from a week earlier... Yokou crossed her arms, and huffed. "...hm...fine, I'll do it...but...the outfit better not be something corrupting..." She said flatly. And then she grinned. "Remember, it's 'vir-tue'...ah..."
Yokou stopped speaking suddenly. "There! The northern aurora...Borealis...it looks like a great forest!" She was right to be delighted too, for painted across the sky, was a splendid arch of emerald green, the star bejeweled background it was set in made only all the more splendid with hints of pale lavender lingering from the sunset, and the aurora itself, as its fingers of spin light combed through the dark sky, lit it ablaze with many varying hues of sapphire.
"Konoha doesn't have a Winter Festival." She explained, in her usual soft voice. "Our climate is too warm to get snow anyways. So each year, we make our Sakura Festival as splendid possible...to welcome the Spring and the New Year (kind of like Chinese New Year). There's an aurora over our skies at that time of the year, too...except crimson fire alights the blooming Sakura instead, pooling orbs of light on each and every leaf..." A pause. "I want to...ah..." Her expression changed, unreadable, as a pale flush flickered over porcelain features.
Yokou was glad that it was nighttime. "...when I could, I want to show you the Aurora Australis...over Konoha's sakura groves too..." Yokou tapped the back of her right hand lightly over her forehead...seemingly confused...? And...what in the world just prompted you to say such a thing... Her mind chastised her, or perhaps that was the voice of the facade her clan and its traditions made real... Factors of that false mask that had made her like an almost surreal, that made her more like the emotionless ten'nyos of legend or the fairies of the forest...factors that had made her less...human...
But even if it was embarrassing, even... Why, there was no reason to hide the haughty flush, the burning fire on her cheeks. She was perfectly content with the night and all it's splendorous beauty...tonight, Iwa's night sky...that bathed the village aglow with celestial light... But moreover...she was content to have someone to share it with...

Marcus smiled as he looked to her... soft and slow, his body slipped closer to her. His grip tightening ever gently against her as he began to pull her closer. Due to her sitting sideways on his lap, he could'nt go directly for the lips as he wanted but he found something just as good. A piece of the blanket had falled from around her neck. He replaced it with a slow kiss of his lips. Pulling back, he looked to see if she fainted again... or attacked him.
Either way, it was becoming that time. Pegasus knew this and began to swoop in closer to the citry.

Hitomi was tired. She was tired, and she was lonely. She hated being lonely. She forced herself upright with an inhuman effort, quickly redressing herself and vaulting her windowsill, landing on the ground below. She felt her stitches pulling, but ignored them, stumbling towards the festival, happy to finally have a distraction from the ghosts of pain, and the disconcerting lack of pain. She forced herself upright, the image of Tsukiko appearing beside her, now wearing a long red and white kimono. Hitomi began walking more normally both as she was bolstered by Ki's confidence, and as she began to get used to standing on her own two feet again. She was still too numb to feel the cold, not that she would have paid it much mind. She wouldn't fret over something she had no control over.

"I need a doctor! NOW". The woman yelled as she came fading into the doorway. She rushed hard through the door and looked about.
People began to look to her. Of course, her garb put them in alarm but as they saw who was in ehr arms, they soon gasped and rushed to her. A gurney was brought out quickly and she was relieved of her load. When asked to stay outside and wait, she only glared at the nurse and, even through the mask, the message was understood.
Marcus was taken deep within the hospital where medical treatement would begin on him. They had to seal the wound.

"Quick, bring in the transfusions!"
"Blood pressure dropping...!"
"Pour in more chakra!"
"Um...why the heck is a child in the operating room!"
"Hey, isn't that Lady Hyuuga?"
"Dumbass, she doesn't seem to hear you...!"
"You two, concentrate!"
"Shoo shoo kid...what are you doing here anyways, you don't seem to be hur..."
Zephyr and Yokou...the side along Shunshin went a little wrong and instead of landing at the hospital door... The street before the hospital, instead of ending at their destination...he found himself in the middle of an operating room. Zephyr briefly wondered if Yokou have possibly manipulated the destination. Or if subconsciously, that was even possible. Considering he never been in the operating room before...he was pretty sure she did something... Or she might not be... A perfect eyebrow arched.
A scowl at the doctor who addressed him. "If you want your balls intact, then shut it..." The filthy language seemed to have certainly left the doctor momentarily speechless. "Arigatou. Skipped the front desk. Psychiatrist ward, minor cuts." He muttered, pointing to his student.
"...kid...? Drawn weapons are not allowed in the hos-..."
"Oh, this." Seeing where the doctor was staring... That's right, he was still holding Kusanagi. Going behind Yokou, supporting her with one arm, the Senju king messily stuffed the sword back in its sheath. She can redo the seal and all that crap later, when back in a normal state of mind. Currently, priority takes importance.
"You need as many doctors possible, right?"
"Yes, but..."
Poof.
"I'll lend a hand then."

((This brings Marcus back to full Hp.))
Cp: 2590/3250
He removed his gauntlets and observed the progress so far. No good...so slowly these doctors were healing. Alright, he might've been a little unfair, as Konoha had a strong tradition in the medical arts...however...honestly, by the time they were done...transfusions would have to be done in a frenzy - the pill Shishimaru had given Marcus couldn't possibly last much longer. Noticing the Jutsu used by the doctor next to him... "That's..." They were kidding, right? Minor Chakra Heal, the third commanding officer from before had already tried that.
These seals... Dragon. Snake. Tori... So unfamiliar were the pattern...this technique that could save a life... The familiar mystic green alighted his palms and Zephyr placed his hands over the gaping wound. As he concentrated, the glow grew stronger: the room was alight with mystic green light, from all the doctors having activated some form of healing.
How many years had it been? Twelve? Thirteen? So long ago, the last memory that he acted as a medic. Why did he learn medic ninjutsu anyways? It wasn't for the sake of a clan he knew so little of... He didn't grow up a Senju, but a lab experiment. Yet, he learned the medic arts...not because Rasen had pushed him...but because...
A memory flickered. His oath when he took command a squad of the black ops. "I won't let anyone die."
It was foolish to think that back then...how he could have been so arrogant. Fortuna was cruel, she gives and she snatches...the goddess of fortunes on her wheel. Back then, he was only a child, still haunted by the blood of the scientists he killed...a child yet already stained with blood... And decided out of mere whim that, not if he could help it...he didn't want to see anyone die...
In the end, he could do nothing. He had passed on the medic arts to Yokou but what did it mean? Meaningless, all of this...if these hands couldn't even preserve his precious team...how can they save others? The small hands he tried to guide towards a dream...the princess, back when she still had been innocent...had he guided her to destruction instead?
The wound was closing, quickly, draining chakra from Zephyr rapidly, but he did not feel fatigued. With his feelings, the strange light of the Shosen grew stronger, warmer... The forest to which his Mokouton gives birth... He thinks he understood a little better now.
He couldn't show his students what was most important back then... ...because he knew it not himself... And when that cruel dream turned nightmare... The wistful days had too soon ended.
Yokou...what she can't do now... He'll do this in her place.
He'll protect her, this time around... The least he could do... Protecting her dream.
Shosen Jutsu By concentrating chakra to the hand, the user is able to cure wounds by focusing their own chakra to where the critical injuries lie, healing them in the process. This jutsu, however, uses up a high amount of chakra. This may also be utilized as the Chakra Enjintou and Chakra no Mesu, or the chakra scalpel for that matter - in order to sever the opponent's muscle fibers at the point of contact. Rank: A Cp cost: 60 + 10 per 20 Hp healed Damage: N/A *Combat scalpel: Same as common taijutsu damage but adds chakra modifier instead of str modifier. Affected victim must roll a reflex save (DC: your attack roll) to avoid inner bleeding, should the inner bleeding check fail the victim shall lose 3 Hp per round per time hit. Also depending on the area you are hit you might receive extra penalties. Such as -10 attack roll and damage for arm and leg wounds. Requirements: Treat Injury 50 ranks, Chakra Control 70 Training days: 15 days. Special: If used as a combat Scalpel, user must beat defendants’ Dodge Bonus by at least 10 points to cut muscle fibers in area hit. Defender cannot use affected area until healed or for 10 turns.

Ugh... This technique was taking a lot out of him, particularly from being long unused. However, Zephyr did not daunt in the healing process... The surrounding doctors seemed surprised, the aura...the chakra of the Senju lord was so calm... Gently pouring off in waves...the same chakra that could cultivate life.
The wound had closed up so quickly, disappearing, but still Zephyr held his hands and chakra release steady, as he healed the last few layers of skin. Puncture wounds after all were the worst type of wounds medics could run across - the most difficult type to heal.
Almost...
The wound thinned to a scar and then even that disappeared. However...Zephyr fell back, a poof, and back in his child Henge form. The doctor who had spoken earlier to him caught the "child". "Are you all right!" Large, teary emerald eyes met the adult (expression: ;_; ). "...so hungry..." As if to complement his complaint, the "child"'s stomach rumbled (expression: @_@). The doctors laughed, saying that was ok and there was food upstairs. Most of the doctors were filing out of the operation room now, to get the nurses and a stretcher to transport Marcus upstairs to a room.
But Zephyr stopped to talk to the head medic. Was that only a ruse to get the other doctors out of the room? "Hey." His expression grew serious. "That ANBU captainess gave Marcus a blood pill...and I did completely the healing she started... However..." His voice trailed off, as he looked away. "He lost quite a bit of blood. You will still need to do transfusions." Ah. So he had done as he did so as not to worry the other medics.
"Understood. And...arigatou." The head medic inclined his head a little, a gesture of respect to one who was the more superior medic.
"Don't go through the formal gratitude crap with me." Zephyr's expression soured momentarily (expression: =_=). "My family started the medic field, so it's nothing special."
"Oh, then that would make you a member of that Senju clan."
"They're just a chapter in a storybook. Anyways...go and help him already." But the child smiled at the doctor suddenly. A beaming smile and he clapped his hands lightly together. "You know, Iwa...Iwa is very lucky. To have someone like Marcus as their Kage..." As he turned, his expression grew unreadable. And whispered, softly, more to himself: "Like he, too..."
Zephyr left before the doctor could comment, soft patta-pattas echoing down the halls.

The room had grown quiet... mmmm it was the perfect chance to pounce really but she'd keep her distance for a moment. She had found the man she was searching for... yess... she found him laying upon a hospital bed. It brought back such fond memories as she glanced down to him for a long moment. A grin crossed her fang ridden lips. Of course, she kept them well hidden, they weren't huge nor unattractive, simply normal teeth with a bit more point than the average person is all.
Slowly she moved away from the raptors of the building and headed to make her true entrence.
The door of the hospital burst open and coming in... sorry, flipping in, came about 10 men in pure black suits with hats and shades on. Each bore a headband from various villages with scars across them showing they weren't of that village anymore. They all stood with their hands clasped in front of them at their waste. They were statues to be sure.
This obviously grew the attention of all in the lobby. Soon, footsteps began to fill the silence as a woman dressed in quite the nice suit came stepping in with a cigurette in her mouth. She looked about and lowered the shades.
"So... where's my property?"

In the cafeteria, still in kid Henge form, Zephyr was eating at a rather rapid speed to recover his chakra. Finally, the "kid" let out a loud, satisfied burp and happily patted his stomach. The doctors should be taking care of Marcus' blood transfusion about now, so time to go visit Yokou in the psychiatrist ward. He found his way to the elevator pretty easily...or more like, as the elevator doors was closing...rushed ahead, grabbed the doors, and wrenched it open. Of course, ignoring the looks on the faces of the doctors inside.
Zephyr sighed. Last he heard, the doctors tried saying all sorts of things to his student...no response. The Senju king scratched his head. This was going to be a real headache... He thought. The thing he was worst at: diplomacy. Talking Yokou out of her trance... Actually, what the heck had gotten into the old geezers' heads to make him Kage anyways? He was probably the worst choice for something demanding diplomacy...and he was just about to prove that...
Eh? Zephyr wrenched at the knob of the marked room. That's odd...he was sure that this is the room... Fearful voices. Don't tell him... But she wasn't in her normal state of mind right now - he should get to it. Gritting his teeth, he pulled on the knob, cleanly breaking off the lock. The door swung open.
"Don't do it!"
He was greeted by the full fury of the Byakugan...not even a hint of recognition in those usually calm eyes... It became clear to Zephyr: while Yokou did not lash out at the doctors, it was to keep them away from her. For a moment, Zephyr was almost ready to drop into stance, expecting her to attack. And then...the veins of the Byakugan faded, leaving a most blank expression.
For now. Safe to approach her...
Or so he thinks.
But Rasen would not hesitate...so why should he?
Tappa tappa.

One of the nurses greeted the newcomers. "Who might you be looking for Miss?"
The lobby door opened and Yuumei stopped at the front desk, a seemingly sleeping raven-haired child in her arms. "...I would like to request an urgent checkup of this child. He..." A soft pause as the long mocca-haired woman. "...sustained grave injuries falling off a cliff... I'm certain that I healed all of the physical wounds, but he suffered a blow to the head and isn't waking up... Someone..." Oh no, she forgot to ask the guy (Nikolai) who helped her for his name! "...um...this Jounin who took me here said there is a doctor by the name of...Takani Kiyoshi...who can help."
"Ah...sure...Takani Kiyoshi, he should be on floor 2, room 86." Replied the nurse at the front desk, after she ran a check-up on the computer. Doctors came and took the child, presumably to the Takani doctor's room. Yuumei followed upstairs.

Kiyoshi Takani was waiting for them at the top of the stairs, as if he had been expecting them. At a full height of four feet, nine inches, (A very full height) The man wasn't much in the way of intimidating. The Desert Rose smiled up at them, turning to walk to the room the boy had been assigned. Once the child was secure in the bed, Kiyoshi dismissed the others with a wave of his hand. "There, now." He spoke as the door closed behind them. "What exactly happened? One doesn't sustain injuries like these unless they happen to be training with Giglamesh... But you're not from around here, so I hope that isn't the case." Even with the healing, Kiyoshi could quite clearly feel all the injuries the boy had sustained. "You did an excellent job healing him... It's almost like they were never there."

Yuumei's hands trembled. She took a deep breath, before speaking. "Half of the bones in his body was broken..." She repressed another shudder, at the mere memory. "We're from Otogakure no Sato, good sir. This child here..." She gently touched the sleeping boy's cheek. "Uchiha Akeru, Lady Saiya's youngest cousin. He was snatched from Oto, and I and my companion (Kiroshiro) gave chase. Akeru seemed to have gotten away on his own though...as dangerous as that was, escaping off a cliff..." A soft pause. "I...I am not so certain why the kidnappers chose him, but I have my suspicions..."
Yuumei reached into her handbag (like the one Sakura wore to Wave Country) and took out a scroll. "It was...supposed to be a secret, the incident in this boy's native country...Konohagakure no Sato...about two and half years ago. Lady Saiya...entrusted me with this...but I believe if we're to stay in Iwa for the time being..." Yuumei held the scroll tighter. "This is the only proof I have to the truth..."Quote: Uchiha Akeru. Younger son of Uchiha Museifu and Kouseki, older brother an orphan adopted under the Uchiha name, Kokuyoku. His father, a Sannin of Konoha, went insane - left his wife and elder son murdered - for the sake (as suspected by the Uchiha Council) of obtaining the forbidden black flames. Akeru’s older brother, a rookie Jounin at that time, managed to buy time for his little brother: reverse teleporting the child from the house. His father exited shortly but the Uchiha Council were able to arrive on the scene, forcing Museifu to flee. The father was marked a missing-nin and the child, declared mentally unstable: having seen his mother's corpse and apparently, his father had etched in the memory permanently with the Tsukuyomi...preventing thus any possible way that the brain might forget trauma. He is marked with PTSD and can no longer even look at the Sharingan. "His clan in Konoha could do nothing...so they sent him to live with what remains of his family, in Oto. I'm not sure why exactly...why his father would want to kill him...but perhaps to finish up business or..." Yuumei gently touched the child's forehead. "...or there's something about his line I shouldn't know..." Yuumei only didn't know just how right her latter statement was.
