::Hodari was determined not to show a single sign of fear this time. He slowly padded off after the girl, head raised up, eyes wandering about. He shook his head, forcing himself to focus on the path ahead..:: Focus..... Focus.. ::He told himself, keeping a stern look on his face. He had to admit... It felt kind of funny trying to look so serious...::
::Of course, to the eyes of a bystander, Hodari looked anything but serious... His mouth twisted off to the side, one cheek puffed up. One of his ears was cocked to the side and the other was drooping.... He looked anything but serious...:: "I'm coming, I'm comi-" ::The cub let out a loud yelp as he stepped on one of his paws, falling foward and rolling on his back... Thank goodness he had not been upon one of the more narrow path ways....::

She blinks, straightening slightly as she watches him trip - fortunately, to no harm done. "Take it easy, Hodari," She scolds, frowning and looking more like a motherly type than a child. "You shouldn't go s'fast, you'll fall, and then the snakes will eat you for dinner." Ciyari believes, quite steadfastedly, that there are snakes down there, lurking in wait for some poor hapless beast to fall. It makes it more exciting to go up the pathway, anyways. "Well, come on, then. Just watch y'step."
She whisks around without another word to him, back into the tunnel, tail held high.

::A sheepish look crossed the youth's face as he rolled onto his stomach. Slowly, he slinked off after her, tail dragging upon the ground as he went.... Something was sticking to his mind though.... What.... What was a snake? He couldn't recall having ever heard of a 'snake'..::"Ciyari..... uhm...." ::The cub began, ears flicking a little..:: "W...What's a snake...?" ::He asked, a tad embaressed...::

((Aww...okay, lil.))
She pauses in the semi-darkness of the tunnel, looking amazed. Her eyes glitter in the dim light. She looks so thoroughly taken aback by the question that she forgets to be properly insulting, as she usually is. "It's a bit...creature," She says, frankly, struggling for words. "They're really long...'n can be different colors...and they got fangs, big ones...they can kill you just by biting you, an' some say they can kill just by looking at you...'n they have really strong bodies that can crush you. They swallow you whole. They're evil monsters," She finishes, suddenly becoming much darker and much more serious-looking than she ever has. Fiercely - odd for her, really - she snaps, "Just stay away from them. They should all be dead."

::Swollow you whole? Hodari tried to picture what she had descriped.. He did not like the image that appered within his head...
He was imagining a gigantic creature with glowing golden eyes and spikes all upon it.. Gigantic fangs sticking out of it's lips, blood dripping from them...::The thought of something like that made Hodari shudder... The cub gulped, backing away at the sound of Ciyari snapping a response..::He halted himself for only a moment, nodding in agreement... Anything that could be decribed that horrible looking deserved to be dead...::

As he decides, quite wisely, to agree with her, she backs off a bit. Her own horrific memories...they start to recede back into the back of her mind, and she gathers herself up once more with a blink. "Alright, then. Let's go..." Her words trail off, and she slinks out, not speaking to him anymore until they reach the end of the tunnel entrance. It's pitch-dark here, and she softly paws around until she pokes a rock, and the entire complex swings open again. She trots out, relieved, under the starry sky of night.

::Hodari had given the pathway they had walked one last glance before moving out, head raised up to look towards the glittering skies. How long had they been in there..?::
::A smile crossed his face as he closed his eyes, inhaling a deep breath. He exhaled soon after, stretching out his back. His claws extended ever so slightly, clawing into the earth... What fun that had been..::

(Hi, Thalion! Winging it is good. ;D *lol* ^__^)
"Hey...do you hear that?" She querries, turning around quizzically towards the cavern entrance. She could have sworn she heard a voice in the tunnel...somewhere. But it disappears when she stops. Perhaps she was imagining it; her ears c**k forwards, hesitantly.
"No," she murmers, more to herself than him. "It must've been just an echo." But she could have sworn she heard someone, a male voice; as faint as the whispering wind that wraps around her. She turns reluctantly away from the entrance as it swings shut, and towards the falls, which pour down across the rocks, delicately shooting off a fine spray of mist. Giggling, she jumps on one of the star-lit rocks, and then another, tail whisking behind her happily. "C'mon, Hodari, let's go hunt!" She quips, elated, and quite forgetting that hunting is a skill she has not yet mastered.

::Hodari's ears had twitched as she asked him that question.. No.. He had not heard anything, nothing at all... Well.. Nothing out of the usual noises.::
::He stood there for a long time, head raised up towards the sky as if he were expecting it to say something to him. He was lost in it's beauty... It's diamond stars and it's darkness....::The ears atop his head twitched once again, head lowering, eyes fixing upon Ciyari as she hopped upon the rocks.::He smiled slightly, a crooked grin. Quickly, he lowered himself down, getting into a pouncing position.. His tail flicked back and forth, waving in the air.:: "Sounds good to me!" ::He pounced upon a rock, slipping about, claws clawing at the rock. He managed to balance himself, letting out a sigh of relief.:: "You have anything that you would like to eat in mind?"

That's more like it! Had she said that to any of the adults she's had the misfortunate to meet during her time, they would've looked down their long noses at her and either ignored her completely, laughed at her, or sneered and told her that she'd get what they gave her, and no more. She was not looked on kindly by the pridals or rogues she's encountered; her sassy attitude has earned her the dirt road, and normally nothing to eat.
So it is with a cheerful heart that she jumps down to the other bank, coyly looking over her shoulder at Hodari. "Maybe some fish?" She querries, eyes flickering mischieviously.

::He remained pearched upon his rock, trying not to fall from it. Quickly, he lept to another rock and then to another, landing upon the bank as well, tail still swishing a little.::"Fish, huh? If that's what you want, I suppose I can try and get some." ::A slight laugh escaped him as he looked back at where they had been earlier.:: "I'll catch the biggest one I can find!" ::He nodded, prancing up towards the water, gaze resting upon it.::
