The 'blue dot' shivered. Her hands ran down her almost bare arms frantically. But she paused, something distractin her
Her ears twitched uncomfortably and pricked up. She slowly turned around and looked behind her to see something.... A hybrid. Who else but Kisten. But at a time of desperation like this, she reconized no one like this. Her eyes just stared ahead of her as if she was seeing nothing. Don't be misaken, she was.. It was she was just.. She was in anoter period of unsurity..

A warm flush colored his cheeks and heated Zell's ears all the way to the tips. Let someone walk in and see. If only Maryline was not worried about it. So he hoped they would stay away. Both Ginny's had promised to keep everyone out of the kitchen, and crossing the red-headed witches was not something anyone in the family cared to do without good reason.
Still... it was very fortunate the kitsu Miaka was out with her son visiting her mate Tamahome. Cooking, baking, and especially cookies were like a homing beacon for the priestess' stomach.
Zell grinned, chuckling lightly as they unwrapped caramels together. He loved the feel of her hands in his. Giving her cheek a quick kiss he teased with a feigned innocence. "Aw man... and here I thought ya always remembered to brush your teeth." Wink.
The thing was... she made sense. Almost logical sense. A type of logic anyway. Perhaps not rational but was anything rational about this? Bad enough there where two pairs of Fred and George to deal with... and the talaye were firmly situated in their home, being older even than the kitsu Remus! Much older... for they were adults when Remus was just an egg. And now... Professor Remus Lupin was a father of ten and a grandfather of 7 with at least 3 more on the way any day now. With a mate other than Tonks -which actually bothered Percy less than his other siblings having missed out on that entire soap opera having been intentionally estranged from them at the time and at odds with the entire Order. Still it took a lot of getting accustomed to.
Percy sighed. "I'll try. Not worrying, I mean. It made sense though. Well... at least as much sense as any of the other theories I've heard tossed about." An attempt at a smile and then it fell. No frown just... he could not smile. "That must be nice." Seems Percy missed what tense Anon used, thinking of how he was never really close to any of his family. Even though they accepted him now... he still felt alienated from them. Percy knew so little of what they had been through... and they knew nothing of his daily life at the Ministry. Not that there was much to share of interest on his side. Oh, but it had seemed so wonderful at the time!

>>Wait...that blue dot wasn't a blue dot...That blue dot was-<< Mia~! >>He extended an arm fully to happily wave as he recognized the blue ball of fuzz<< Mia! Yo! Whats up!? >>Classic...Husky...Kisten. He slowed down to a jog, then to a walk as he got closer, the smile that had fully formed beginning to fade<< Mia, what are you doing out here? Its freezing!

>>Another caramel in the bowl. She could feel every breath he took here...could smell the light bit of aftershave from the morning...and it took a feirce determination to stop her from attempting to listen to his heart beat. Another caramel, her smile increasing slightly at the feather light kiss<< I would be brushing so much then, that you would never see me again. >>One more caramel. She moved her face up to softly kiss his jawbone<< Cookies are halfway done dear Zell...who do you think will be less likely to burn themselves with the skillet?
Whoo! Really? Mayhap I don't need a translator afterall! >>That grin was back, bright and happy. Whether he missed it or caught it but left it be, she didn't know. But she certainly wasn't going to bring it to light. No...that was one of the few things the fallen angel tried to hide<< alright, your turn. Ask away, my lifes an open book. >>The last she spoke with a grand guesture of a hand, her grin partly hidden behind her glass mug<<

The blinked a couple of time, hearing her name being called.
Zooming back into reality, she stared at Kisten. Finally the name came to mind. "...Kisten...!" she exclaimed softly, rising to her feet in a rush She scratched the back of her neck and laughed gently. "I.. Uh... Wandered away from my way home... And I uhh... Got lost..." she said nervously. "And what about you? Aren't you cold?" She should be talking. The only thing she appeared to have added to her normal outfit was a pair of navy leggings that crept down to her ankles. It was think like wool and gently covered with velevtine. She bit her lip. "My fur jacket got soaked when it rained the other day ago so I left it behind."

got lost? eek you've been here longer then I have! >>Or well, thats what he assumed. Most anthros here had been around the area longer then him. The male stopped infront of her, shaking his head<< Come on...I was just on my way to the shop. I can make you some hot coco. Not exactly sure if my system can handle hot coco, but I can make it. >>He smiled almost warmly, his breath coming out in little plumes of vapor. The male surprisingly was genuinely concerned for the female, who was jacketless...and huddled in the cold...with less body fat then him...and not part snow dog<<

"ah-ah-ah. You wanna learn how to cook & bake without calling injury or setting off the smoke alarm you're not gettin' outta it that easy, 'Line." uh-oh. Zell was grinning mischievously again. His hands firmly around Marylines & holding the bowl he tightened his upon her body gently in an embrace. "I'm walking ya through it, woman-princess." Which he started to do literally, walking her from the counter to the stove where the saucepan waited. "If ya wanna learn. Now.. for starters... Sauce pan & skillet are too different things, 'Line. Use the wrong one for the job... can mean extra work 'cause things cook differently or sometimes a burn or something. Not a big with melting... but loads easier with the higher sides for stirring. Plus..." Zell lifted the lid and set it aside, revealing a pouring circlet underneath that afixed to the sauce pan. "Ours has a special attachment." Guiding their hands he went to poor the caramel in then turned the burner on.
Percy managed a weak chuckle. "Oh, you probably still need a translator... I've been studying theories of it lately and believe me... there are theories out there that even if they tried to make sense would still need a translator."
Eyes went wide behind his glasses. "You want me to ask you a question about you?"

Mia shrugged. "I have bad sense of direction.. I've always gotten lost." She quickly walked until she was beside him. "Alright." She smiled softly. "Thank you, Kisten," she said moor cheerful then earlier. "Sorry if I'm being a trouble though, Kisten..." She glanced down and kicked some dirt. The feline shivered. "Can't wat 'til we get there.."

Come on. >>he gently put a hand inbetween her shoulder blades to help lead her forwards, back towards the shop<< Don't worry about it, like I said, was going there anyhow. And I could always use the company. >>He softly chuckled, taking a few steps forwards to coax them into motion now<< And mayhap on the way, you can tell me what made you think it a good idea to go wondering in 20 degree weather.
Why? >>She spoke innocently before catching that grin. Oh no<< Walk through? But...I... >>She shuffled with him to the stove, caught inbetween wanting to laugh and feeling horrified at having almost a second skin behind her walking the female forwards<< What is the difference? >>Higher sides obviously enough but...basically the same thing...right? She peered into the sauce pan<< And...what does that do? >>Safe to say, it was amazing that the princess knew how to set the timer in the kitchen. Small wonder why Anon, Aki, and Solstice were wary when she cooked. Her fingers brushed the top of the caramel to brush the candies in. Her eyes glanced at the green numbers. Three minutes left...they were going to have to do some overtime<<
There goes my hopes and dreams. >>She responded dryly, but ever with that grin. The female nodded<< it only seems fair. I learned a good bit more then I bargined for with my last question. Like you have siblings, you're an undercover wizard, you're not native to the land, there's someon named Bill, george and fred somewhere in this equation...ah, and that you're not half as geeky as I previously thought. >>At that, she winked, a little lighthearted jest to the owl man...or was it?<<

Overtime? No way. If it took them three minutes to melt caramel Ma Dincht would have to come through whatever rift got him here to box him one across the ears or something. "What's the difference? Well I'll tell ya, woman princess." It was said with good natured ribbing, not belittling -just amused. Zell launched into a very simple explanation about the differences of the two, sizes, thicknesses, material. He even paused in stirring the caramel as it melted to let Maryline stir by herself for a while as he reached down into the cabinet to pull out the cast iron skillet so she could see for herself the difference. "Course there are other kinds of skillets." He explained.
Blink. All her hopes and dreams? Oh. Sarcasm. Right. The twins liked to use that on him as well. Percy was not especially good with catching it. "Well, I suppose that makes sense, though I've never quite thought of it that way. I guess I'll have to think of..."
Pause. Blink. "I'm not what?"

(( and Zell launched into a very simple explanation about the differences of the two, sizes, thicknesses, material... >.o dang it all, I hate having to do a filler posts!))
>>Ask, and you shall recieve. The female melted the caramel blankly with her zell-covered hand stirring, eyes on Zell. She carefully tucked the new bits of information in a new folder in her mind, feeling as though she was sitting in her old study room, being lectured at by one of her many tutors. And she didn't think there was a single princess out there that liked their tutors long lessons. She gave a small shudder at the rush of cold to her back and hand when he moved away, and inched closer to the stove to stir it. On second thought...with a minute on the clock, and the candy almost completely dissolved into a sticky liquid, they should just beat the clock. Her eyes flicked to the side at the skillet, then back to the pan, then to the skillet again, thinking about what she had been told<< are there different kinds of sauce pans? >>Another one of the small questions she chipped in randomly. A trait some tutors loved in her, and one that others hated<<
((god that sucked >.<))
>>She chuckled, trying her best to drink a sip of her coffee without drowning in it<< Geeky, a Poindexter, a nerd, wonk, swot, dork...No...You may actually be a dork. But most people are at some point. >>Another sip, having survived the last one with laughter<<
(( That one also sucked. But pitifully, not as badly))

Zell chuckled at her question, merrily kissing the side of her neck before responding. "Yeah. But that's like, pro stuff we'd be delving into. Ma only had one type of saucepan, but lots'a skillets. She'd whap me with one if I didn't get 'em right. Light though. More laugh than swing." His hazel-blue eyes twinkled with the memory. Setting the skillet down he turned down the burner and again covered her hand with his. Even had they never... Zell was a very touchy-feely individual. And they were alone. Maybe not quite as private as their -well Maryline's- bedroom... but he could push a few envelopes. If only sometimes to see if Maryline told him to stop.
Another kiss, this one below her ear & Zell nearly jumped as the alarm went off. He didn't... though his body gave a quick jolt. To which he laughed soon as it was past. "Booya! Let's check those cookies!" He wanted to taste how cookies drizzled with caramel tasted!
NOW Percy frowned deeply into his mug. "I know what one is." He muttered darkly, not looking up. He had hoped he had heard wrong, not wanting her to have actually said such a thing. But then for Anon to go into a thesarus-worth of synonyms... well he had brought it upon himself, the way the day was panning out. "Points on the elaboration."
Really... what else could he say to that? Only not wanting to be more rude than he likely was already being kept Percy from setting down his cocoa with a bland thanks and leaving.

>>A bloom of blush on her cheeks at the tender kiss to her neck, her hand hesitating slightly mid-stir on the spoon as her eyes immediatly went towards the door<< but...skillets are made of iron, are they not? >>No. Still alone. With the caramel on low heat, she turned her hand in Zells to interlace their fingers. Being hit with a piece of iron no matter how gently, could not be ones idea of a good day. Another kiss, just below her ear, and started at his jolt. Not because of the alarm, but because of the fist fighter<< Careful Zell...If someone enters... >>She didn't finish that reprimand, instead turning against zell as she pulled his hand across her waist to rest around her. Her other hand let go of the spoon to light on his shoulder, just above his collarbone. She rose to her tiptoes, and warmly, lovingly, kissed his lips. A quick kiss, just two beats, before she lowered her heels again. But it was Maryline. Instigating kisses alone was rare enough when in their -her- room, instigating one in public when just speaking of being caught...<< Where are the oven mits? >>And acting like not a thing had happened<<
>>At his dark mutter, her smile immediatly vanished, eyes focusing on him. Uh oh. The female winced<< Dude it...just joking. Point is that you're not all those things. Not that you're not smart, I'm sure you must be, but not like, geek or nerd or anything like that. I mean heck, I'm not sure if I could even really be friends with a poindexter, I'd feel too stupid around him. >>She floundered, creating her own little rant after realizing what had happened. And anon was not one to like upsetting others<< I mean, I like, I could, just because their smart doesnt mean they're undeserving of friendship but like it wouldn't be like this, just sitting and having hot coco and conversing. And you seem like a cool guy, not like preppy high school cool guy but fun, nice cool guy, which is really hard to find in a attractive man these days and so what if- >>Her teeth clicked shut with a wince, cutting off her rant. Sometimes...she didn't know when to exactly stop<<
((MUCH better!))

"Ma was good... she never used the iron one on me. 'Sides.... I've got a hard head. " Laughter. Some would have said 'think' was more suitable.
durdurdur. Maryline may act like nothing had happened but Zell was gazing upon her and smiling with such warmth and joy in his eyes he thought he was about to burst. Two breaths of Maryline-instigated-kiss when he'd been about to apologize with a laugh & back off a bit? He just couldn't take his eyes off of her. Or stop smiling. "Bottom drawer on your left." His answer came more automatically than anything, for he certainly didn't seem to be thinking at the moment. Or perhaps he was: sidestepping them both past where the oven door would need to open while still leaving enough space that the drawer could be opened. His hands as some point had slid from hers and lay resting lightly on her hips and though he looked like he might want to pull her closer, Zell also looked completely content just to remain like that.
Good thing indeed they had chosen the shorter time to cook them, for the cookies at the time of the buzzer going off could use a little more time. But not too much.
Percy slumped slightly, softened by Anon's attempted efforts to make it all better again. Thing was... she struck a sore nerve irritated by years of his little brothers' -and sometimes his big brothers'- teasing. "No... no you were probably more correct before. It's kind of you to think or say so but I..."
Pause. "So what if what?" He asked curiously. Even as he did looking uncertain, as if he was not sure he really wanted to know. Especially not after Anon's explanations. Percy seemed to have missed the 'attractive' comment. That... or it simply had not registered, coming in under his radar. He wasn't exactly thinking along those lines right now.
((unfinished statement for my reference if I need it: but I don't want you to hold a misconception of me.))

Bottom drawer...left... >>The princess shifted to move there right before she felt his hands on her hips, moving her to the side as if that one tiny step did anything. Well, besides stopping her journey to the oven mits. As it was, she slipped her hands up to hook behind his neck, and moved a foot behind her for the toes to cling to the drawer knob. The female rose onto her tip toes to look eye to eye with the man ever so softly. She slowly pullped the drawer open, just as she nuzzled her nose to his, something that would have killed her if seen<< Before I forget once more...Merry Renascibilitas, my dearest Zell.
>>She firmly shook her head, just as stubborn as he was with her needing clothes in winter. She didn't get to say anything past that though, his curiosity making her wince yet again. Shly, almost sadly, the female looked down at her near-empty cup to lightly trace its mouth with her index finger<< So what...if you're a bit different...Thats what I like most about meeting new people. >>The female spoke quietly, eyes still on her cup<<
