The pod sat there, the young Maki now petrified inside the soul trapped deep within the child's chest.

"Something isnt right, something is missing"

Thinking to himself he knew he had done what the Caerula had told him to do but his mind was at a loss. Suddenly he remembered the spell that Caerula had given Fira.

"The spell!"

Zetsuei said loudly as he walked closer to Maki

"Katrea, have you see the other woman I was with earlier. The phoenix? She is the key to reuniting Maki's soul."

The queen got up and walked to her dresser and opened it to reveal some formal gowns. She pulled one from the cupboard and draped it over her arm. She then laid the white dress down on her bed.

"Get the group ready and i will meet you. We may need some transport, could you prepare that too Avalus"

She smiled to hide some of her insecurity over this war, it frightened her, the thought of war but she would be strong. the queen gripped the bed sheets and looked blankly into space. She then looked up at Avalus and saw he new what she was feeling. The queen didn't want his worry on her conscience too and changed the mood.

"Well if you don't mind i would have you leave now Avalus so that I may get ready."

"She really shouldnt, the elder Caerula only told her to use the spell if its a last resort and it is up to her wether it is used or not.

Running to the door of the temple Zetsuei yelled

"Thank you Katrea, I will return as soon as I can with Fira"

Pushing open the temple doors Zetsuei vanished as he began to use his flash steps once more to speed up his travel. He figured Fira would be back in Endairon with Shinja and Andreas.

Katrea was not like Zetsuei and didn't have any spiritual powers so he didn't hear the voice of Maki right away, but he had this funny feeling when she spoke and he had to look to the corners of the room a bit confused about where this feeling came from. Katrea sat at Maki’s body’s side and held her hand. He also laid the pod on the ground close to the fire.

"Maki.... hmmmm are you a part of my past really I don't remember your face and you seem to have fallen into some strange events. The orb is surrounded by misfortune it seems."

Katrea pushed some of Makis curly strands of hair from her face. Her skin still icy cold.

"Are you like Kyana, someone that can tell me my story and fill in the gaps? If you can, should I let you tell me? should I be looking for this orb?"

Sadness filled up Katrea mind and he knew soon the war would intervene into the path of his wants.

“I have to go soon to war and I may not live to ask you if I knew you.”

Katrea held his head in his hands and looked down at the wooden floor boards. He was feeling quite sad just moments ago but now he was feeling good. It was odd just sitting, but Maki letting himself rest filled him with some kind of ease.

"Time will tell maki, maybe i will know you better in days to come."

he said out loud as if replying to a thought he had. Joan looked through the cracks in the door, she was worried over all of this. Katrea smiled and waved his hand as if to say come in. Joan did and she sat by makis side. Katrea took a seat by the body; it seemed like an egg more then a pod right now the way it laid there.

"I will have to go see the queen soon but the monk said he would take care of maki for me."

"Yes, I to must be on the move. i will wait for .....him, before I go though."

"Katrea..."

Shinja finally returned from his battle with Andreas, his face showing no fatigue. "I guess you didn't recognize me earlier at the gates." Shinja motioned to the large hood connected to his cloak before Maki caught his attention. "Is she...alright?"
