KyotoYakimino *sigh* Guys, this thread will be scrapped if we don''t stay at least somewhat on topic. sweatdrop Now, I am buying a new crisis suit team, I already have one with TL Plasma rifles and 6 gun drones. I have the new one projected to be equipped with TL Fusion blasters and 6 gun drones. This configuration is because I lost against a mobile Eldar army in dense terrain because my only anti-tank (broadsides) were woutmanuervered by a tooled out Falcon. Tell me what you think about the new team''s config. Thanks. The Fusion Gun always seems like a surefire vehicle killer, but remember, Skimmers moving over 12" can only be glanced, and the Eldar have all sorts of Str dropping and power reducing gear. One of the better setups I''ve see for vehicle hunting (though you lose the drones) is twin-linked Fusion Guns and Missile Pods. You get the two shots as you close in at a respectable Str 7, and once you get in close, you have the twin-linked melta weapon for a surefire kill against non-skimmers. Honestly, I don''t know why you take the drones. Much as the extra firepower helps, I''d rather save the points and use them elsewhere, as a Tau army hardly needs more Str 5 shots. It just costs too much to field as many drones as is needed to cover for a entire Crisis team now that majority toughness affects Drones.

I use 6 gun drones because my suits get very up close and personal.
I need the protection, basically.
Plus, the carbine shots help.
You can never have enough strength five shots. 3nodding

You can never have enough strength five shots. 3nodding Heres a good trick. Have each member in your HQ suit squad take a drone controler with 2 drones. Then have them join a drone squad. Thats roughly 14 drones you can have wounds taken before you have to give your suits wounds

When you give your Shas'o or 'el a set of bodyguards, he loses his Independent Character status until the bodyguards bite it. So the best you can do is give the commander a DC and attach him alone to a drone squad, and that tops out at 10 drones.

If I'm remembering what I have correctly: 8 Hunter Kroot, 9 Kroot Carnivores, and 18 Kroot still in sprues. So just do a search on eBay for Kroot on Thursday and you should find at least mine there. They'll be fairly cheap, as I never got around to making the Vulture Kroot I always wanted and that was what I bought thme for. Vulture Kroot are easily the finest Jump Pack troops for their points cost in the entire game.

Honestly, I can't even see how one could make that mistake. I know I once thought you could stick 3 of the same weapon on a suit and have one twin-linked and one regular weapon, but then I realized that it specifically says that you cannot mount three of the same weapon system on a Crisis suit. But how do you get 4 of a weapon? Crisis suits only have 3 hard-points...

Actually, it does specifically say in the codex that you cannot have two of the same support system hard-point mounted, and you may not have more than one of the same system hardwired either. Furthermore, hardwired systems cannot dupilicate a system already occupying a hard point on a suit. So no double multitrackers or drone controllers.
