Oh ya... that was why. He wrapped Duke's arms tighter around him and wondered how things were going to be when he got back. The guys were going to flip out at him and they were his sanctuary after all. Without them, he had nothing.

Tenshi squirmed uncomfortably under Seto's heavy and piercing gaze. After a few moments of him continuing to stare at her without pause, she turned to him and bowed to him again. "Please excuse my rudeness..." she said before backing towards the door. "You probably would prefer me to leave, right? Thats fine. It was nice meeting you, Kaiba-san..." she opened the door and closed it quietly behind her. She exhaled quietly as she pretended to regain her composure. She wasn't sure, but just incase they could see or hear her, she decided to play it safe and pretend anyhow. 'Good... now I can go back to my video room...Thanks for your lack of manners, you egotistical son of a jerk!' she thought--only half kidding to herself.

After a moment of silence, Yami spoke, "Merik?"

Yuugi was growing very impatient. <"What is taking so long?! Wait... why do I have to sit here and wait anyhow? Why can't I just walk by him? I can..."> Yuugi stood up again and marched back over to the hallway. <"Even if I hear something, perhaps this will teach Yami to not take me for granted by keeping me waiting for petty discussions..."> He knew that he was being somewhat harsh, but he was very irritated with that Yami didn't seem to trust him anymore. He turned the hall and approached the two standing in the middle of it. He saw his Yami turn his head to watch him, and he heard his surprised voice, ("Yuugi!?") but he kept on walking right by him, nearly tripping over the bent form on the floor. "What are you doing, now?" he wanted to ask, "trying to relive your glory days?"
"What...?" Yami asked. Yuugi's heart skipped a beat when he realized that he had said the last bit aloud. <"'What?' What do you mean, 'what?' Did I stutter? I think not."> with each moment that he thought about it, he became slightly more annoyed.

<"Yes... Yuugi is... upset...but it can't be just about that I didn't tell him--oh no... did he somehow figure out that I'm gay?! s**t! Thats it isn't it?! Damnit! What should I do?! Should I talk to him about it or should I... no... I should let him have some space... I'll talk to him after he has calmed down a bit..."> Yami thought as he watched his hikari storm off down the dimly lit hallway. Suddenly, a thought hit him. <"I've never seen him like this before--what if he goes back and starts telling everyone that I'm... the way that I am?"> He called down to where Yuugi was: "Yuugi! Come back!"

"Do you want me to stop him, my Pharoa?" Marik asked, standing up and getting ready to get Yuugi.
Seto was glad the woman had left.
Suddenly he realized he had been very rude by staring at her that way.
"I should go and apologize" he thought up loud, not actually planning to do it.
Otogi was still looking at the ceiling, seeing beautiful colors and shapes appear above them.
"Jou, check it out. It's s-so beautiful..."
(the italic text is what he thinks, the rest is what he's saying. He's mumbling most of it in a barely audible way, since he doesn't want to break these magical moments.)

Joey couldn't hear what Duke was saying, but he sounded happy. He wanted that to be enough to make him happy too... but it wasn't quite. Something wasn't right. He wanted to go home, and now, but he couldn't. He swallowed, and gingerly turned his head so that he could kiss him.

" It might be a good idea.." Mokuba replied to him, even if it wasnt directed to him. " Shes a very nice girl Seto, she calmed me down after I ran off. " he replied, though he still felt like s**t, she did make him feel better. At least someone understood him.

Jou was annoyed. If he was going to be with him, he was going to get something out of him damnit. He decided if that wasn't going to work, he'd just find that spot in his neck that was good for kissing and see what happened.

Yami put his hand on Malik's shoulder to stop him. "No, it's alright, Merik. Thank-you," he added. He dropped his hand and nodded in the direction of their 'home room' before walking on towards it. They had found Yuugi, and that was their reason for going out in the first place. <"I'm not sure...what he'll do, but even if he blurts it out...in front of everyone... Well, it was apt to come out sooner or later, right? I'll just have to be responsible for the way that I am."> He was still a little worried, but relieved, none the less. If Yuugi told everyone, then at least it would save him the trouble of doing so right?

<"'Come back'? Please, you'd do better with 'the sky is falling'"> Yuugi thought rolling his eyes. He could hear Yami talking to Malik behind him, but he ignored it. He brought his thoughts back to what he would do next. They'll probably ask me where Yami is. And then 'Whats wrong?'"> Yuugi sighed internally. What he wanted to do was to know whatever it was that Yami was hiding from them. Suddenly he got an idea. With a small grin, he picked up his pace to a short run, passing a girl with a light blue dress on his trek to the door. <"Who's that? No, there isn't a girl here. Wait, yes there is!"> he thought durring his double take. He stopped abruptly, and turned to face the girl.

Kage heard the boys pounding footsteps come to a halt, and she could feel amythest eyes upon her back. "Um...Hi...?" he said. "I'm... a friend of Mokuba's..." she said hurriedly, as she turned to bow to him like she had done with Mokuba's brother. "I'm Yuugi," he said in a light tone, "Its nice to meet you...er... Mokuba's friend..." Tenshi smiled, "Please excuse my rudeness..." she said before turning to run off down the hall, stepping on one of the stones to open up a passageway ahead.
She could see the faint outlines of Yami and Malik, so she quickly rushed down the other corridor and sealed it again behind her. (gotta love those depressing stones. wink )

Yuugi stood surprised when the girl ran off. He hadn't even cought her name... "A friend of Mokuba's? But, I didn't see her when we all first came in... Did she just come in? I've never seen her around the mansion before...Oh well... I'll just ask them when I..."> he thought as he placed his hand on the door handle, turning it and opening it to reveal the two Kaiba brothers standing in front of eachother. The room was pretty quiet, and Yuugi had attracted their attention when he opened the door. "Sorry, did I interrupt something?" he asked.

"So what did she do to cheer you up?" Seto wondered, before going to tel her he was sorry. He wasn't so, why should he bother? (he intentionally ignored Yugi.)
Duke closed his eyes for a moment, but then looked up at the ceiling again.
"Pretty..." he said, making a fool of himself.
"Hum." Marik replied, feeling bad about not having a reason to run off.
"Should we go back to the others?" he asked, sounding like he had just lost his reason to live.

Jou clearly didn't read this as a drug induced halucination talking and so he figured he'd found the right spot and let his hands find their way around his lover and run through his hair.

Jou could feel Otogi underneath him, and he briefly wondered what it felt like to be drugged and made out with, but decided he probably wouldn't remember it even if he had been so he started sucking on Otogi's tongue.

Yami was slightly surprised at Malik's tone. He wanted to ask him if he was alright, but then realized, <"It was probably something that I did. If I ask him, he'll only deny it...saying that he's fine..."> He nodded to Malik, even though he knew that he couldn't see him (Malik was facing the corridor, and Yami was behind him). "Yes," Yami said, "Let's go."

Yuugi bit his inner lip. The Kaibas were the only ones mobile right now. Everyone else looked as if they were still asleep or something, and they wouldn't know at all about where Yami had been.
He accepted that Seto wasn't going to talk to him, and walked over to where Honda was sleeping. He debated on whether to wake him up or not. <"No...let him sleep. You can ask him when he wakes up--if he knows anything at all, anyway...">
He moved himself to another bed and laid down on it, looking up at the ceiling. He wasn't with his Yami at the moment, and he didn't feel as if he was being watched--ignored, more like it--and he tried to savor the moment without evesdropping.
It only worked for so long...and now, Kaiba had reminded him to ask Mokuba about the girl, later.

Mokuba looked over at Yugi, he wasnt surprised that his brother had ignored him. But he would never ignore Yami anymore, that was given. He mocked Yamis name in his mind. He let out a sigh, " So..hows things going for you? " he asked, he had a feeling that Yugi and him had some sort of connection with all of this.
