Anyone heard of Supersax? Good stuff, real cool! Think of whole jazz songs like Charlie Parker tunes but all sax solis!

saxophonicus Hi, ive played alto, tenor, and bari. I really liked the tenor, it was very jazzy, and i like the bari too, very deep. Ive been playing for a bunch of years. I currently dont own either of the two though (does anyone know a good bari that doesnt cost way too much, perhaps yanagisawa?) and id like to play tenor again, but the girl who plays it tells me not too, because she says she doesnt want to be shown up. slap 'dat b***h upside the head.

It has come to my attention that my local saxophone shop has an old Conn c-mel for sale for 500 dollars. Ive been looking for one for a while, and id really like to have one, and christmas is around the corner. What do i do?

i played alto for 2 years and last year i switched to the tenor, now i play both!
the only problem is this one girl that's been playing music for like 2 years now (i've been playing piano for 10) and took up the sax last year keeps telling me i dont know what i'm doing and yet the bd keeps telling her that she should play more like me. mad she makes me so mad!

hi. I am in my high school marching band and wind ensemble. I play primarily alto sax, but I can also play soprano and tenor, but not very well. I have been playing for 3-4 years now.......thinking that way makes me feel old

Well, i did it. I got that c melody that i mentioned before. I am so happy i did, it plays very well, and it has a great sound. I wonder if i could play it in my high school band at all? I'm sure i can find some way to play it in jazz band. biggrin
